Bolt still tries to make sense of it all. She wants to help Grandpa and Bryn, but with her affliction she can't even see them or their enemies.
So she does the only thing she can do - swing her great axe against the giant in front of her - but misses again. There have just been too many surges on her system for her to be able to control her heavy weapon.
Barely able to keep himself from crumpling, Bryn shouts “BOOM” and casts Booming Blade while swinging his rapier at the giant attacking him. He then whispers “beeyou woop” and Misty Step 30 feet northwest away from the giant.
Ayen concentrates his chaos into one point, releasing it at the giant who attacked Bryn. As the chaos takes form, it adapts a green colour and raises an unpleasant smell. Ayen throws the ball of acid that formed in his hand at the giant.
Action: Cast Chaos Bolt at second level, targeting the giant who attacked Bryn. Using Tides of Chaos to gain advantage. Attack: 24 Damage: 11. Damage type: Acid.
BB hops out the window and head up to the corner of the building. He clicks his tongue as he surveys the situation and casts fog cloud at the second level so that only the giants' legs are visible but none of the shorter people are impacted!
(Not sure exactly where the giants are located in their images but a 40' sphere behind the shoulder of the one engaged with Bryn should work to get both of them?)
28. For the next minute, on each of your turns, you may cast more spells than normal. You can cast spells of 1st level or higher, provided one has a casting time of one action and the other has a casting time of one bonus aciton. If you do, you gain 1d4 temporary hit points at the end of your turn.
Tides of Chaos
Starting at 1st level, you can manipulate the forces of chance and chaos to gain advantage on one attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. Once you do so, you must finish a long rest before you can use this feature again.
Any time before you regain the use of this feature, the DM can have you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table immediately after you cast a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher. You then regain the use of this feature.
The way I've been doing it is that as part of casting the spell, you're using ToC. Immediately after casting the spell, you trigger a surge.

Vernes proximity to the giant scares the pants off him. He turns to run but his training tells him no. Instead three additional Vernes suddenly appear at the feet of the hulking creature. All four Verne then take off to the north-east.

That giant is getting hit from both sides, as Meta falls back to hurl chaos fire at it.
Attack: 27 Damage: 29
Surge: 19
...and Meta joins the ranks of Forge members who are a vibrant shade of blue.
Storm booming blades the giant and finishes it off!
Randy falls back into the alley to the east, blasting chaos of his own at the giant whose head is shrouded in fog. A translucent warbling hits it as it bellows in pain and confusion.
Attack: 22 Damage: 11
Surge: 67
Randy gives a whimper and ducks as far in as he can.
67. You are frightened by the nearest creature until the end of your next turn.

Keller shakes his fingers angrily and then glares at the giants, determined to get a hit in. He moves forward 30 feet and as he does, he gathers a ghostly blade in his hand, and then throws it at the now-closest giant, ignoring his now-useless fingertips. He uses Tides of Chaos to get advantage on the first attack because why not.
Attack: 24 Damage: 8 plus 8 sneak attack damage
He uses his bonus action to hide behind the recently-fallen giant's body. Stealth: 11
(I see I forgot to reply. But I can't seem to find when grandpa was hit on his silvery protection (I am on my phone though so that makes it slightly harder to look for it); I currently have him at 38/30, so 8 temp left)

Bolt and Bryn both whiff, but Bryn dips right out of there.
