The company catches up with Ayen, who has been keeping an eye on the smudge of smoke rising around foothill a couple of miles distant. For the time being it seems you would have a concealed approach, but Red didn't circle much beyond the bend, so it seems likely that once you round it, you'll be on approach to the source of the smoke, and whatever the construct saw and reported on with five hops.

Bolt also feels the adrenalin rise. Giants. Finally. Her hand grips the rune hanging around her neck tightly, ready to use its power ((ready to use BA to use Giant’s Might - getting large again)).
Keller activates his telepathic ability with the stealthy crew and the other commanders, and he prepares to swerve to the side to find a flanking position on whatever is coming.
Storm is plannning on riding right in and attacking. He wants to hit them hard and fast, with his stealthier squad members doing their thing to flank and gain tactical advantage. He leaves direction of those squads to his squad leaders though.
((Alright, sounds good! I am working on building out the map, but ended up being called in for an extra shift this weekend, and then having the second session of a RL:Virtual campaign on Sunday, so if I can get it up over the weekend I will, but might be closer to Monday.))

Verne, being the less violent of the crew it would seem, will stay near the back with the horses. He will be in human form ready for any casting that may present as being needed.

As you approach the city, you can see signs of destruction and ruin, the gate smashed in and rubble mounded up in its place. The walls seem largely intact, with two guardtowers flanking the former gate, vegetation draped over the one on the left. The wind shifts, and carries the scent of smoke and ash, laced over the stink of body odor and a whiff of decay. There is a crash and a bellowing chuckle of laughter.

Storm frowns at the destruction ahead. He waves his crew forward. This might not be their fight, but his company needs to get through this city, and, if there are giants in there doing who knows what, then woe be to them.
The rubble looks like you could get the horses over it, but it would likely require dismounting and coaxing them along. Attempting to ride them over would risk one of them turning an ankle, or worse.
Ayen, and anyone else with stupid high passive Perception:
You see a face, a human face, peering out through the crenellations of the vegetation covered tower. It retracts into shadow, before another dirty face peers out, but they are keeping back, not making themselves easily noticed.

"Best leave the horses." Storm calls back to the others. "Unless you have a way to get yours past that rubble ahead." He prepares to dismount as he reaches the gate himself.

Rusty shakes himself off, his eyes lighting up once more. He's seemed to be in a daze for most of the trip, but is more alert now.

BB is thrilled something is happening while he is awake!
"If anyone has any magic they wish to prepare, do it now." Storm orders, as he continues forward.

BB flexes the hand with big ol' ram ring on it. He's gonna punch out a giant!
As you approach closer, what will your approach be? Just riding right in and letting BB and Bolt punch the crap out of giants?

BB supports that plan, loudly.
Randy is also getting ready but stay in the back - being too close to the danger is not his type of fighting.

Bryn will ride into on the outside of the group, and will move in and out of melee combat with his rapier as opportunities allow.
Verne, being the less violent of the crew it would seem, will stay near the back with the horses. He will be in human form ready for any casting that may present as being needed.
Ayen will ride with the commander.
