Upon closer inspection, you find the remains of a horse in the tall grass, still tethered to the front of the cart. Under the tarp are boxes, barrels, and trunks. Many of these containers are broken and empty; the few that remain carry salted dried meats, three bolts of common fabric (10 gp each), and two small casks of wine (25 gp each).
Ecko's beady eyes light up at the discovery. "Aha! Wine to go with the pancakes!" He takes a drought and fights from choking on the wine too old for its own good. He flashes a thumbs-up and hops off the cavern. "Nothing here. I wonder what's at the tree."
A bare tree stands on the lawn in front of the mayor’s mansion. On the west side of the tree is a hollow knot, about 5 feet above the ground, filled with dead leaves and empty nut shells.
There is a false panel in the corner of the floor. The false floor hides a steel shield with platinum filigree in the shape of winding serpents (50 gp), two matching shortswords with platinum filigree on the hilt and pommel in a similar serpent motif (25 gp each), and a stack of ten iron bars, each weighing 10 pounds (1 gp each).
Spotting the false panel, she moved it slightly to the side to discover the treasure trove below. Remembering it's location for the return trip, she exited the building and headed towards Area V2 (the only area I don't think we've checked yet?)
(OOC: I'll add the items to her equipment list but she'll technically pick up the stuff on the way out (assuming she makes it out alive lol!))
The front door of the stonemason’s home and workshop gapes open, with the remains of the door lying several feet away and covered in long brown grass. The roof has caved in, and remnants of rotting furniture are visible through the open doorway. Blank headstones stand in front of the house, and one beside the doorway is engraved with the words “Tiris Frosthair, Stonemason. Inquire at Back.” At the back of the house, a covered work area holds more blank headstones and slabs of granite and marble. Rusted carving tools hang from the wall. A hammer and chisel lie on the ground beside a half-finished headstone that reads:
Eralynn stares at the headstone. Suddenly, she jerks around, like someone tapped on her shoulder. Get a grip, girl. Get a ****ing grip.
She scribbles something fast on her sketchbook, almost dropping her pencil.
Dd you hear tht? Whspers!
"I believe they are just trying to warp our minds." Ysa replied to Eralynn as she finished looking over the gravestones. "We know they're here and we know what they are so there is nothing to fear. I'm sure they'll stop with their games and face us soon enough. Once that happens, they'll come to instantly regret it." Her Scythe gleaming in agreement, Ysabell turned and looked over the remains of the village. "Well, it seems we've explored everything of note in the village, shall we enter the mines and say hello to our bashful guests?" There was a glint in her eye as she spoke, most likely indicating that she was ready to impart some much need "justice" upon the Meenlocks.
The mine is dark and damp, and you hear the sound of dripping water echoing from deep within. The light fades faster than it should as you move deeper, until you’re wrapped in oppressive gloom and shadow. The main tunnel heads into the mountain, ending at a pile of rubble left over from the cave-in. Secondary hallways branch off to the left and the right.
Garmus, this cave is working your nerves. You're distracted by whispers, and vague shifting movements, and suffer disadvantage on INT and WIS checks while you're in here.
Garmus looks at Ekco with an expression of exasperation. "What? Of course not ya ninny! It's just an expression." He declared, clearly irritated. He was not happy to be here and was unfortunately taking it out on his companions.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ysabell smiled at the interaction between Garmus and Ecko before commenting, "We should keep moving. Best not to stay in place for two long." Continuing forward, at the fork in the road, she paused for a moment before taking the (Left=1/ Right=2 1) path towards M4 &M5

Ecko begins heading for the tree(?) in Area V4.
V4 - THE PANCAKE TREE
A bare tree stands on the lawn in front of the mayor’s mansion. On the west side of the tree is a hollow knot, about 5 feet above the ground, filled with dead leaves and empty nut shells.
"Come on, let's see what the others found." Garmus heads toward the tree, pulling Eralynn behind him.

Raastin listens, trying to hear the whispers. He moves into a protective stance near Eralynn.

"Can't hear um now." Garmus replies, looking around.

"Aye, let's be about puttin' a stop to the sneaky, milk-livered bastards." Garmus shouts out the the surrounding area, shaking his fist.

Everyone needs to make a WIS DC14.
There was a reason Garmus chose to work above ground. "Never did like the wet in the mines." He grumbles, looking around, stroking his beard.
Wis ST: 4

Ecko's eyes widen as he pulls a fresh sheet of parchment to scribble some notes on. "Are their livers really made of milk?"

Where to kids? Remember, INT and WIS checks at disadvantage should you fail the save.
