"Agreed, we should head down to the river and follow it covered by the reeds west to the mill. The less fighting the better on our way there. Valas, Kendes and Kipio you will be our eyes. Companions ready!"
Evendur stands ready by the gate to move quickly down to the river.
Valas politely requests that Xymor cover them as they take the river exit, watching for enemies in the reeds and surrounding area before heading back out to get an update on enemy troop movement between the keep and mill. The elf then heads for the tunnel with the others.

"I feel like we should try to save those four humans from the kobolds chasing them... they might be able to help us defend the mill," Kendes suggests. However, no matter what course of action the group takes, he will follow the lead, not being much of a natural leader himself.
Kendes will move as quickly as he can while being stealthy, which, as it turns out, means sacrificing skill for speed: Stealth 11
Once nearing the water, he will dive right in and remain under the surface, pausing only to briefly asses the banks and make sure the coast is clear: Perception 17
Kosef moves with the others. His eyes flash between Valas, the owl, and the sky more generally. He doesn't want the dragon swooping down on them. He will also watch Kendes, curious about being in water. Someday, he might ask for lessons on how to move in it. "How much farther to the mill," he asks.
"Yes brave Kendes, I agree, if possible we should save the townsfolk as well"
Ready for the directions of Valas and his owl, Evendur notices the elf prudently going for the secret tunnel, so he follows suit using another torch in the tunnel, watching out for those pesky rats and staying back a bit once they reach the river. He then tries his best to move hidden by the reeds, hoping for saving the townsfolk and the mill.
Perception:11 and stealth:3 both with disadvantage
Kosef and Kipio, make stealth checks. Kosef can make it normally (no disadvantage or advantage) and Kipio can make it with advantage.
OOC: The reeds actually give you some cover and allow everyone to make the stealth check with advantage. This cancels out with Evendur's disadvantage, so we can use your first roll instead, which makes an 18. Does not matter for Valas and Kendes.
Xymor has seen the dragon attack the keep once since the group started travelling along the river. It used its lightning breath on the guards and then flew away. The owl saw that most of the guards managed to run for cover, but one unlucky person was burned to death by the lightning.
Kendes sees nothing from the river. It seems like the raiders are elsewhere in the town.
(I rolled stealth again for advantage, then actually read the thread, LOL. Just ignore that roll.)
The water is cool and inviting, and Kendes dives in headfirst, taking a deep breath once he's fully submerged. The chance to swim is rare on the land, and it feels like a homecoming to be back in his natural element. His blackened eyes grow darker as a filmy layer slips over them, both protecting and enhancing his vision in the darkness of the water, and the cold doesn't bother him at all. He swims slightly ahead of the group, occassionally dipping upwards to scan the reads for any sign of intruders.
Evendur trudges along after the others through the reeds ignoring the cold of his waterlogged boots and having a hard time spotting anything of significance.
"Can you locate the townsfolk brave Valas?" he says making sure the raiders can´t hear him.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kosef's stealth (OOC: Which has to be better than last time): 8
Kosef anticipates this moment as a fond memory, hiding fairly successfully, for him, for a big guy, among the reeds, without noisily crushing them, falling with a thud, or otherwise calling disastrous attention to himself. Assuming I have an old age, he thinks, this will be a moment I remember.
No one notices any raiders along the river, though Kendes does see some small fish swim by. As you continue on towards the mill, you come closer to where the people were running from the kobolds. You could keep going, or you could exit the reeds to help.
OOC: On the map this is near the house north of the thickest part of the westernmost trees. That was probably confusing, so we can just say somewhat close to the mill. If you want to rescue though, you will have to head up north rather than continue west.

OOC: Evendur is still ready to save the townsfolk first but it is Valas´s call I guess. Initiative for upcoming fight saving townsfolk or by the mill:15

Xymor spots the townsfolk straight north of the river. They are running into the trees which separate the river from the town. Xymor also spots a group of six kobolds pursuing them from further north.
"Well done, brave Xymor. Please watch for other threats while we deal with this, my friend."
Valas quickly fills the others in while they move, and encourages everyone to move up into the trees. "Kipio, lay low, if you would. They won't understand. My sincerest apologies." To the others he says "weapons low, we don't want to scare the townsfolk." The elf does his best to look non-threatening as they draw closer to the fleeing citizens of Greenest, waving an arm in a circular motion as they approach to encourage them to keep coming towards safety.
"We can ambush the kobolds here in the trees" he suggests.
"Couldn´t we just stay on the ground brave Valas?"Evendur suggests holding up his shield, hoping that the white gauntlet of Torm will convince the townsfolk that they are no threat to them.

(OOC: Thanks. 18 stealth beats Evendurs perception roll. Does that mean he loses himself in the reeds? 🤔)
Kipio wraps himself in his cloak and enters the reeds along with the rest of the party.

Valas does also ask Xymor if he has seen the dragon and what it is up to when he swoops back to give the elven wizard an update.
(For those who speak Draconic or have some other knowledge of dragons and the like, you might know that Xymor was an earlier name for Bahamut.)
