The sun finally sets as Evendur and Kosef wait. They soon hear the voices of people. Four guards open the tent, and force eight miserable looking people inside. One of them takes out a key, and uses it to secure the prisoners to the chains. The guard then looks at Kosef and Evendur, and asks, "What are you doing here?"
While Evendur and Kosef are present for the arrival of the prisoners, Valas is left waiting for something to happen. No one has activated his alarm. He has a good view of the camp, and has noticed many, but not all, raiders entering their tents for the night.

"Waiting for you obviously, you insolent grunt." the fallen evil knight Sir Rudneve tells the guard and stares him in the face. "We are sent by Rezmir to interrogate these prisoners for the purpose of further raids. We all have a duty to collect the hoard for Tiamat and you wouldn´t want to interfere with our task or you would have to answer to Rezmir. We will take it from here." Sir Rudneve adds again counting on the cultists not being in the habit of questioning someone stronger than themselves. Intimidation:20 Deception:13 (Again rolled with advantage hoping for help action from Fesok, otherwise go with first rolls which would yield the same results)
(OOC:Sir Rudneve tries to determine if a fight would alert the rest of the camp. Also Valas and Kendes hopefully can intervene if this goes south)
The guard looks nervously at the other three, and then nods at Evendur. "Sorry. My mistake. I was just expecting the usual guards. Feel free to investigate, sir." The guard then exits the tent while the others smirk. When Evendur announces that he is there to interrogate the prisoners, they look at him fearfully. One of them trembles slightly. Now Evendur and Kosef are left alone, with eight tired and unhappy prisoners.
Kosef would notice something unfortunate: none of the prisoners are Leosin.
Evendur suspects that a fight would attract attention from nearby cultists, especially if an attacked cultist were able to shout for help. Many of the tents are close to one another, and there is not much noise at night.

After taking care to see that there are no cultists eavesdropping Evendur again turns to the prisoners and speaks to them in a gentle tone. "I apologize for this charade good people. I´m actually Sir Evendur Archebolde of Cormyr, loyal servant of Torm and at your service, and this is my companion Kosef. We have been sent here by Governor Nighthill of Greenest to rescue you all. We will however have to wait a while longer so that we will meet with a minimum of resistance as we make our way out of this camp. Now, which one of you is Leosin?"Persuasion to calm the prisoners:25 (Rolled with advantage if help from Kosef, otherwise first roll with same result)
When realizing Leosin is not with the prisoners he adds. "Do you know of Leosin? Could he be somewhere else in the camp or even in those caves?"
"Yes," Kosef says in an effort to calm the prisoners. "Leosin is a monk, a warrior whose primary weapon is his body. Have any of you seen him? Another prisoner." Kosef does try to keep everyone calm, including himself. "We have to find him quickly. The longer we are here the more dangerous this all becomes for us and you."
The prisoners look relieved when Evendur reveals his true identity and mentions Governor Nighthill. When Kosef describes Leosin, one of the prisoners says, "When we were captured in Greenest there was a half-elf with us. He seemed like he could have been a monk. They took him to see their leader when they arrived, and she took him to the back of the camp. We heard one of the guards talk about how she's torturing him for information. She seems to think he knows something."
Evendur peeks out of the tent and tries to signal to Valas and Kendes to join him and Kosef. "We will need the help from our other companions to get you out of those shackles." Evendur clamly explains to the prisoners. "And then we will have to find a way to rescue Leosin from his torture."
(OOC: Perhaps we should save these prisoners now and then get back for Leosin once they are outside the camp? Any other suggestions?)
Kosef says, "Will we be able to get back? Let us at least wait until it is very, very dark before freeing these." He thinks for a moment. "Could the two escape attempts provide distractions for each other? But we need to know more about exactly where Leosin is first," Kosef says. He glances at the others. "That I am alive now is because of him. I have to pay that debt. More than anything else."
"Your sense of duty and honour does you credit brave Kosef. Let´s hope Valas and Kendes finds their way here so that we can decide on our next course of action." Evendur says laying a supportive hand on Kosefs shoulder. He then turns to the prisoners again. "Does any of you know anything more about where in the camp we could find Leosin and if he would be guarded by night or just shackled like yourselves?"

Valas sees Sir Evendur make some unnatural hand gestures and then duck back into the tent from which he had emerged and decides it may be time to join up with them. He hopes they have found this Leosin and the rest of the prisoners. First he looks around the camp, the boulders and the greenery to see if there is proper cover to get to this tent even if that means carefully circling around the camp.
Valas can see that there is a lot of brush and many boulders around the edges, but less in the camp itself. There is an area of boulders and brush which is located among several tents in the same area as the prisoners. Depending on which side of the camp he is on he will have to circle around the edge to get to the safety of the plants. He will still have to go a short distance to get to the tent, but the plants provide a lot of cover. (This area of plants is on the southwest side).

Valas decides to sneak around the perimeter and get as close to the tent in question as possible before risking being out in the open to make his final approach to join his companions.
As Valas and Kendes enters the tent. "How good of you to join us. Prisoners, this is Valas and Kendes. They will assist with your escape."Evendur says confidently.
"Now to the matter of master Leosin. According to our information he should be somewhere else in the camp. Perhaps you should try to free him..."Looking at Valas and Kendes. "...while Kosef and I move ahead with these prisoners?"
(OOC: Kendes can perhaps try to pick the locks on the shackles.)
Kosef is going to protest not being involved more directly in the rescue of Loesin, until he remembers how much noise he always manages to make when he tries to sneak. Loesin is more likely to be freed if Kosef does not participate, so he stays quiet. "Valas and Kendes and prisoners, what do we know about the guards? How are we most likely to get you past them?"
Kendes tells the others that he does not have any thieves' tools to pick the locks.
The prisoners consider what Kosef has asked them. A man with a thick black beard and leathery skin says, "They don't post guards with us at night. They keep much closer watch over us during the day, though. I guess they rely on our chains to keep us from escaping." Another prisoner, a stocky woman with curly hair, says, "I've heard some of them complain about having to keep watch at night though. And we can see guard towers when we're outside. One of them watches over the entrance to the camp."

Valas' detect magic spell reveals nothing. The area of the camp he is able to examine seems to be unmagical.
The empty prisoner tent contains very few things. At its centre is a large pole, with several chains attached to it. There is nothing else inside.
OOC: Are you ready for the sun to set and for the prisoners to return?
OOC: Rudneve is😊
Kosef is ready. He will face the door and watch for the prisoners' arrival. He hopes to see Leosin.
