Gianna teams up against Cass' aggressor

elbow smash! Attack: 8 Damage: 5 DC 12 CON save vs poisoned condition

Sneak Attack! 1

Gianna's aid saves the day as her spear fells Cass's shield solder. Unfortunately, she ignores the other one standing right in front of her, which makes an opportunity attack against Gianna.

Attack: 8 Damage: 7

Realizing he is the only one left, the soldier flings his massive shield at the entire group (this attack is towards everyone)

Attack: 7 Damage: 3 Flying Shield Damage

(next round begin)

“Birdie” glides into a flanking position against the shield(less) soldier and stabs viciously into him with his rapier.

Attack: 27 Damage: 14 

Elven Accuracy extra die: 26 

Attack: 19 Damage: 8 

Elven Accuracy extra die: 22

And with an unceremonious kick to the crotch, the final shield soldier drops dead of pure shock.

With the exception of a few dents and holes, all of the armor and equipment of the slain seems to be in working condition.

On the corpses there is Half plate (x4), Tower Shield (x4), Revolver (x1), Studded Leather Armor (x1), and a total of 148 GP. Divide the loot as you please.

After the looting is finished, you look about and notice that the cramped engine room is now strewn with nearly a dozen bodies. Given the size of the vehicle you are in, this must be most, if not all Crimson men aboard. The engine has now stopped spinning, and only the dim red emergency lights remain on. The ship is nearly silent now.

Cass says “anyone wants this contraption? (Holding the pistol) Or any of this other armor and things?   We can bring it with- will be good to sell.   Here takes some gold” (will divide up the gold)

“I Ben thinkin might be good to catch our breath afore we keep explorin.  What day we secure ourselves in here fer a bit and rest up?”

 She suggests a short rest.

“Birdie” hasn’t been around all that long, but we are grateful for the invite. I am definitely on board for as long as you’ll host us. This adventure is awesome.

“Birdie” will gather his barbed net and say, “I have no need for the armor or shields, but a share of the coin and that revolver looks to be a good backup for my pistol.”

He will add 49 gp to his inventory as well as the revolver.

”Let me know if anyone wants the revolver, I don’t absolutely need it.”

(Are there bullets in/for the revolver and does it use the same ammunition as the pistol?)

“Birdie” adds 5 hp from 1 hit die(rolled in the game log) after his short rest. If allowed, he will tinker with his barbed net to make any small repairs needed, assuming the light work does not spoil the short rest.

“You’ve earned it Birdie!  Yer good in a fight, to be sure..” Cass smiles. (49 gold each)

“Thanks Cap’n! Do we need to restore that crystal to get this ship back to the surface? I’ve never been on a ship like this before. I guess we better secure the rest of the ship first and make sure we’re in control of the helm.”

Gianna doesn't want any of the technology.

Robin stands at the rail of the ship floating on the waves. She looks down into the water, waiting for some idea of what the others are up to, or how things are going.
(OOC: I am still here, maybe next time we should find a way for Robin to join in for the fight, as I would like to continue in this game, but probably won't if I have to sit out for another session like this...)

As you stretch after your short rest, you gear up and prepare to scour the vessel. All party members (including Robin) level up to lvl. 6.

(This was a tough fight, and it went very differently than expected, but y'all pulled through! Early levelup!)

As you discuss where to go next, you hear a clank as the airlock opens and closes. Soon, Robin appears in the grisly engine room, ready to go.

The ship's dim emergency lights are still on, and the ship is nearly silent, save the few mechanisms still running.
