Charging forward to meet the other ogre face to face, gnome vs. brute, Vernon swings his ceremonial hammer with intention that’s much larger than his small stature. He finds that, despite his slightly off-balance attack stance, the hulking creature is surprising easy to hit and offers almost no defense, other than a grimy piece of ragged hide armor.
He doesn’t kill the creature, but he certainly gets its attention.

Osmord's devastating spell attack fries the first and already injured bugbear (B) to a veritable crisp. His thick fur catches fire and burns with a smoldering stench as his head is engulfed in a brief eruption of smoke and flame before the burned creature falls dead.
Out of the corner of your eye, you suddenly catch sight of a large shape off to the left, just over the fence... a huge tree that wasn't there a few moments ago. You realize that it's Lifferlas, the awakened tree. He's apparently moved across the fields from his grover up by the square. Swatting out with his leafy branches, he bashes at the second bugbear with incredible force. Attack: 20 Damage: 15 and Attack: 18 Damage: 12 Unfortunately, the bugbear is too quick for the tree and he eludes the attacks.
"It's about time you showed up, old friend!" Miros shouts at the tree with a hearty laugh. "I was beginning to think that you got lost on your way here!" he adds as he drops his crossbow and rushes over the fence and into the pen towards Goblin E. Grabbing the creature in his massive arms, he squeezes the goblin a massive bear hug, attempting to crush the life out of it. Attack: 6 Damage: 6 The goblin is somehow able to wriggle free, but it's apparent, that Miros has brought the little creature to within an inch of its life.
Meanwhile, Bugbear A, who was hiding in the grass off the right side of the fence, stands up and hucks his javelin right at Zyllith, who is now standing out in the open. Attack: 13 Damage: 3. He then reaches for his morningstar and closes in on the tiefling to engage in melee combat.
The second ogre who's currently engaged with Vernon is showing considerable damage, and rage from Shalvus's surprise attack and Vernon's own hammer attacks. Nonetheless, the stupid, hulking giant swings his great club once again at Vernon. Attack: 23 Damage: 13. Once again, the gnome takes a brutal hit.
The last bugbear, (D) who was hiding in the grass on the right side of the road also emerges and throws his javelin at Zyllith before she even knows it's coming. Attack: 22 Damage: 4. Fortunately, her quick wits allow her to twist her body out of the way at the last second and avoid being hit by the points of her horns.
The creature then closes in to double team her in a two-on-one gang up.
Still 8 goblins remain, one bugbear is down and both ogres are injured.
"Oy! Ye wankers wanna dance with me tha' much then? Don' start cryin' now when me dancin's got ye leaking more than a broken ale keg." Zyllith taunted the two bugbears with a fire in her eyes, which upon closer inspection turned out to be quite literal as well.
To some it might even have gone unnoticed when the twinkling light that once lingered on the goblin that was her earlier target suddenly flew over to the bugbear now nearest to her. Regardless, in the next instant she drew rapier and thrust out an attack at that same bugbear. Though she was still being overly harried by these two creatures and she took advantage of her fancy footwork to rush back, closer to her allies, and with luck draw their enemies closer as well. Ready as she was to throw out retribution to any who managed to strike her.
---
Bonus Action: moving the Hunter's Mark from the dead goblin to the first bugbear next to her that hit her last round Rapier attack: 2+8 = 10 Damage: 6+6 = 12
For her movement she will move back towards the rest of the group, towards Vernon specifically to remain in melee and provide him with more targets if need be. (If not at least there's two bugbears close to each other with no allies nearby.)
The bugbear that she attacks cannot take opportunity attacks against her thanks to her Fancy Footwork ability. The other one still can. If they, or any other creature, manages to hit her over the course of the next turn she will use her reaction on Hellish Rebuke. 18 Fire damage, DC 13 Dex save to take half damage.
Perhaps the slight distraction in trying to concentrate on two enemies throws her off her game a bit, but Zyllith is unable to break through the bugbear's defenses this round. With deft feet, she retreats and backs up towards the bulk of the group on the road (Arisa and Vernon are currently fighting just over the fence inside one of the animal pens, but everyone else is on the road.)
As she does so, she's able to evade at least one of the bugbears opportunity attacks, but the second one tries to get in a strike as she moves away. Attack: 15 Damage: 11 Fortunately, Zyllith is able to evade his attack as well.
Belkas feels a little reassured now that the talking, and apparently crushing, tree has joined in, and the fight does not seem to be going so badly against them. He shoots two Eldritch Blasts at the same ogre he injured previously (or if one is enough to kill it, he sends the other against the hobgoblin on the road). He tells Crowley to keep on trying to take out the goblin archers.
Belkas painfully gets to his feet, deciding that getting hit by more arrows is better than finding himself staring up at the wrong end of a hobgoblin sword, and moves back 15 feet.
Locked in the standoff with the ogre, Vernon tries desperately to parry and dodge the thundering attacks from this monster that towers over him nearly three times his height and nearly 30 times his weight, while at the same time trying to get in his own hits. He's so close that he can smell the foul stench of stale sweat and rancid stains that permeate from the ogre's body, sweat that now coats the head of his ornately carved and decorated hammer that he purchased in Waterdeep.
Just then, Vernon sees two bolts of energy fly a gnome's height over his head and slam into the ogre's chest. He recognizes the type of energy as coming from his companion Belkas, who he knows is somewhere behind him. They explode with a burst of white and red light, causing the creature to reel with a terrifying level of fury, and while the blasts do not kill the ogre, they do serious damage to it's already injured body.
Nearby, Crowley the imp continues to chase an harass the goblins, although he seems to be causing more distraction than actual danger to them.
Another arrow comes flying out of the grass, this one aimed at Belkas. He doesn't see it coming until it's flying straight towards him. Attack: 16 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.. After the attack, the goblin runs for new cover. (Perception check for Goblin I: 13)
Seeing the bugbear C so close on the road, Naxene backs up about 30 feet and conjures a fire bolt that she sends right at the menacing goblinoid. Attack: 18 Damage: 6
Two more arrows come flying out of the darkness, aimed at Zyllith Attack: 24 Damage: 9 and Naxene Attack: 22 Damage: 3, then both goblins scurry to find new hiding places as Naxene winces from the pain of taking another arrow. (Perception checks for Goblin A: 19 and Goblin B: 21).
Yelling for help with the bugbear on the road, the Shou woman tucks away her sling and leaps forward with agile, fluid motions as she spins her quarterstaff and engages with the 7-foot goblinoid, using a flurry of fast melee attacks. Attack: 17 Damage: 8 and Attack: 15 Damage: 3. She deals some level of damage to the creature.
Nearby, Elion answers the call by turning his sights towards the bugbear as well. He takes careful aim and fires a shot at the creature. Attack: 21 Damage: 10. Unfortunately, his shot sticks in the bugbear's armor. He then moves into the grass to seek his own cover. (Stealth 15)
Another pair of arrows fly out of the field unseen, targeted at Belkas Attack: 20 Damage: 3 and Arisa. Attack: 21 Damage: 6. As usual, both run for new hiding places. (Perception for Goblin C: 5 and Goblin D: 17)
The two goblins (C and D) who are next to Arisa, suddenly find themselves enveloped in a flash of brilliant, searing radiant light. The effects of her Spirit Guardians spell burns the life out of both of them, and their corpses crumple to the ground.
Shalvus, who has been hiding in the field, also turns his sights on the bugbear and takes a shot with his hand crossbow. Attack: 19 Damage: 6 plus 10. It's a devastating shot that pierces the creature right in the back of the neck. The bugbear howls a terrible cry of pain, but remains on his feet, at least for now. Shalvus returns to his hiding place.

Having a similar experience as Vernon with regards to being in such proximity to such a foul-odored monster, Arisa remains locked in melee with the second ogre. All the while, you are both surrounded by the spectral spirts that float in the air all around you. The ogre seems to dumb to comprehend the otherworldly nature of the magic, but that doesn't prevent him from having to endure another searing blast of radiant light that envelops his stinking body.
WIS Save: -1
Taking advantage of a wildly telegraphed swing, Arisa reaches in and lands a solid blow with her magical Shilellaugh staff, which catches the beast off guard. As if that wasn't enough, a second later a loud booming force of energy wracks the monster, causing a fatal amount of pain. Arisa knows that she dealt a serious blow with this attack, and she watches with relief as it succumbs to her killing blow. Attack: 26 Damage: 15. He deals another devastating blow across her body that cracks a number of her ribs, knocks the wind out of her and brings the cleric to within an inch of her life. She struggles with everything she has to stay on her feet. (The ogre failed his WIS save, so this attack is void. Arisa takes no damage this round.
Goblins G and H, who are no longer hiding, continue to pepper with their arrow assault on Naxene Attack: 18 Damage: 7 and the Shou woman. Attack: 18 Damage: 4 Naxene takes yet another arrow, this being her third. She's obviously starting to be shaken by the whole episode.
Meanwhile, the injured goblin that had just escaped Miros's grasp turns tail and beings fleeing east into the field.
The injured bugbear on the road tries to answer the Shou woman's attacks with his own assault. Attack: 23 Damage: 7 He lands a brutal hit on her right shoulder with his Morningstar.
Fighting for his life and his sacred oath, Vernon keeps focused on his stance and patiently waits for the right opening. With the simple, thuggish, stategically limited fighting the brutish giant displays, the brave and sturdy gnome takes advantage of the first opportunity the beast gives him. With two ferocious swings of his hammer, Vernon Garrick, Paladin of the Ancients kills the mighty ogre and steps out of the way as 600 pounds of dead flesh slumps to the ground before him.

Seeing Vernon down the foul creature Osmord glances down at the charred Bugbear that lies smouldering at his own feet and makes his way over to the side brave gnome. He places a clawed hand on Vernon's shoulder.
"Bravely done my friend, please accept this humble gift. The least I can do."
(He casts cure wounds at level 3 on Vernon) 10 health returned.

As Osmord hurries over and lays his lands upon his companion, Vernon feels an intense rush of energy and healing powers corse through his battered body. In a few seconds, he suddenly feels more alive, and in much less pain.
From his position in the field, the awakened tree Lifferlas brings one of his branches down to try and slam it upon the head of the inured bugbear that's currently fighting on the road. Attack: 19 Damage: 17. His attack crushes the bugbear's skull with a forceful killing blow, so it beings move through the field towards the area where a couple of the goblins are still crouched down with their bows. Lashing out once again, the tree swipes with incredible force at Goblin H Attack: 24 Damage: 11, breaking its small body and sending the lifeless corpse flying through the air about twenty feet away. It lands in the grass with barely a thud.
At the same time, Miros rushes over to Goblin G and tries to crush in another bear hug with his massive arms. Attack: 14 Damage: 4
Meanwhile, over on the other side of the fence, the two bugbears, one of who is still targeted with Zyllith's Hunter's Mark sign, continue to chase the tiefling through the grass. Once again, she finds herself on the receiving end of a pair of brutal Morningstar attacks. Attack: 10 Damage: 11 and Attack: 6 Damage: 13
One of them manages to land a painful blow to Zyllth's left side. She takes it in stride, though and responds by pointing her finger at the bugbear who hit her and watches as the creature is instantly surrounded by a brief inferno of hellish flames. The bugbear is quick, though, and it dives to the side, saving itself from the full damage of the spell.
Round 4
Two bugbears remain, three goblins are still hidden somewhere in the grass, and one goblin is visible. Both ogres are dead.
Belkas cheers as the two ogres crash to the ground. "Well done," he shouts out and then sends two blasts flying at the closest hobgoblin (he will target the next nearest enemy he can see with the second if the hobgoblin dies after the first one).
"Crowley, stop playing with those goblins and finish them off, please. These arrows really hurt."

2nd: To hit 14, damage 11
Imp:

Zyllith was smiling even through the pain, pleased enough at seeing the bugbear suffer for that last hit. She knew she couldn't take too much more of this but even so she was confident. After all so far the Bugbears were dancing to her tune. Now it was time to see how far she could take this dance. Shuffling to one side with her incredibly agile feet, she positioned herself so one bugbear was blocking the other, leaving her more or less in a one on one with her marked target, at least for the time being. She hoped it would be enough as she thrust out her rapier in a flourish of motion that bewildered her opponent at just the right time to strike deep where he would not expect it. Then without missing a step of her deadly dance she would spin around again and move back once more, leading the bugbears around some more.
---
Bonus action; using cunning action to disengage First moving around the bugbear with the hunters mark so the other bugbear is more then 5ft away from Zyllith's position. This will allow her to use sneak attack on the bugbear she's attacking thanks to the Rakish Audacity feature.
Rapier Attack on the bugbear with her Hunter's Mark: 19+8 = 27 Damage: 6+12+5 = 23
Afterwards she uses all her remaining movement to head back towards the rest, trying to lure the bugbears closer to her allies
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Practically dancing around the two bugbears with her light-footed agility, Zyllith positions herself that only one of the two creatures is directly next to her, and with a dizzying display of rapier work, she drives the point of her weapon to the hilt just beneath the monster's ribcage, and then yanks it out in swift retraction. Her attack pierces the bugbear's heart, killing it almost instantly, and she watches at it falls to the ground with a horrified expression on its face.
A moment later, a pair of bright energy blasts fly through the air at the second bugbear, sent there by Belkas. The first slams into the creature's back, causing it to cry out with a roar of pain and surprise, while the second blast just whizzes by his head.
Crowley, who is proving to be completely useless in this battle, apparently still insists on merely playing with the goblins. He continues to fly around and taunt them, all the while doing no real damage.
Seeing that half of his goblinoid companions are now either dead or are fleeing, and that the two ogre bosses and two of the bugbears have been killed, Goblin I, who wasn't doing a very good job of hiding, turns and flees to the west, following the other goblin who fled last round.
From her position on the road, Naxene sends another fire bolt at the badly injured bugbear Attack: 20 Damage: 8, and ignites even more of its bloodied fur.
The Shou woman smacks it with a pair of lighting quick melee attack with her quarterstaff, once again, expertly wielding it with noticeable expertise. Attack: 9 Damage: 4 and Attack: 5 Damage: 8. She kills it with a frighteningly fast duo of spinning attacks to the head.
From their positions, both Elion and Shalvus fire ranged attacks at the last remaining bugbear, the one that was just hit with the Belkas blast. Attack: 16 Damage: 11 and Attack: 6 Damage: 6 plus 8. It falls dead with an arrow in its chest and a hand crossbow bolt embedded in its eye.
With this last bugbear falling, there is only one goblin left, at least one that you can see; it's the one that Miros is currently engaged with. You're pretty sure that there are two others who are currently hiding in the grass somewhere, but they did not fire this round, perhaps so as not to give away their positions, so you're not sure where they are. The other two are fleeing, and are now beyond your visible range of dark vision.
By now, you can hear the constant ringing of the Abbey bell behind you, as well the alarming shouts and wailing of townsfolk off in the distance.

As Osmord hurries over and lays his lands upon his companion, Vernon feels an intense rush of energy and healing powers corse through his battered body. In a few seconds, he suddenly feels more alive, and in much less pain.

Zyllith is up.
(When it is his turn:)

Eldritch Blast:
1st: To hit 23, damage 11
2nd: To hit 14, damage 11
Imp:
To hit 13 (8+5) for 6 (3+3) damage and poison 16 damage, or 8 on a successful CON 11 saving throw.

Bonus action; using cunning action to disengage
First moving around the bugbear with the hunters mark so the other bugbear is more then 5ft away from Zyllith's position.
Sylnache Ashrain - 7th Sojourn
So, effectively, this battle is over.
Arisa looks quickly for any remaining goblins.
20 perception (passive 17) and if she sees them she moves to where they are hiding to let her spirit guardians take them.
But then she relaxes, and the cloud of ghostly angelic figures fades away. She says a prayer of thanks to Mystra, then will tend to her companions or any villagers who are hurt. She also will see if there’s another battle going on. (Passive Perception for that) .
Zyllith will also spend the time to look around for any remaining enemies, or failing that, any other battles nearby.
