Pushing past this small man he yells out "You can't go in there!"
Opening the door you see Kadroth sitting behind his desk. "What is the meaning of this!" Seeing you all move into the room he immediately adopts a more pleasant demeanor. "Ah, welcome my friends. To what do I owe this unexpected pleasure? Please have a seat. Thoob, go back out and wait, maybe you can do some good while out there."
He shuffles some papers around before placing his hands folded together in front of him on the desk.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Maudath is taken aback a little at the pleasant demeanor of Kadroth and his dismissal of Thoob.
Insight Check - on Kadroth's comment to Thoob as in, does that seem like code to go get the rest of the guys to come lay a beating on this group: 5
Maudath moves in closer to the desk.
"We've been asking around and it seems like you lot may have just decided to claim this place for yourselves and are terrifying the people who work here." Maudath says. "Time to pack up and go."
Eve sidles into the room after everyone else. She flashes a cute smile at Thoob as she slips inside, hopefully defusing anything that’s going in his head just now. And she makes sure he closes the door, or if he doesn’t she will, and she’ll linger back just inside the door too for a few seconds more, for now.
((OOC Can’t remember if the town speaker is with us? I think maybe we left him chilling in the other room with his sleeping guard?)).
"And who issued you that invitation?", the Professor asks huffily.
((Taking that to mean no active magics?))
(No sorry, you don't sense anything.)
"Why the Council of Speakers of course. They asked me to come mediate a dispute between the good people of Caer Dineval and Easthaven over fishing rights. When we arrived we found the speaker barely able to get out of bed. So, with his approval of course, we took up the heavy burden of running things to help out in the speaker in his time of need" the pleasant smiling demeanor never faltering or fading.

(Thoob, closed the door and is not in the room with you all. And no the speaker would not have left his room yet)
You see for just the tiniest of seconds the smiling face drop, but just as quickly its back on.
"Ah, well then you must see how out of his mind he is. Must be the fever making him forget how things happened." seeing you draw the sword "There is no need for that, we are all friends here are we not?"
"well he did said i was agressive so calling him lucid might be a bit far fetched" she said between her teeth "Either way we isn't mad nor anything so kindly drop the act"
Eve walks slowly forward from her position at the door, taking a slightly meandering route, lazily glancing at a few items around the room as she does so… and with a pleasant smile and a calm voice she says, “My friends here would see you dead I think…”. She looks from Ryhunis, to Maudath, to the Professor. “So I want you to listen very, very, carefully to me… This might be your only chance to get out of all this with your life…”.
She pulls out a couple of small items from her component pouch and looks at them in wonder for a second or two. One appears to be a small forked tongue, the other a rather battered and crumbling sweet of some kind. She turns them over and over in the fingers of one hand, holding them up before crushing them together in her fist and casting suggestion on Kadroth.
He looks at you Eve listening to your words. His smile grows but somehow seems more dangerous, now almost predatory. "My dear I don't believe Ill be doing any such thing." looking to the rest of you "I see that my lord was mistaken about you. You dont truly believe you fools can stop us when the speakers own guards could not, and since you seem to have some small idea of what is actually going on here I dont think I can allow you to leave."

You can't really tell anything beyond his friendly smile.
"Oh no, my friends there seems to be some misunderstanding. I can assure you we are here by invitation."

"Finally some evil!"

Maudath frowns and clenches his fists together. If Kadroth had been hostile this would have been easier.
"We just met with the speaker," Maudath says. "He's fine. A prisoner, but fine. So enough with the bull. I know a story when I hear one."
He draws his sword.
"We're not asking you to think about leaving. We're telling you that your time in this keep is over."

"He seemed perfectly lucid and healthy, though a bit perturbed that he had been made captive in his own keep. I agree that your time here is through."

”I suggest…”, she says in a voice that seems somehow heavier than her own, “…that you do everything in your power to help us. To free the prisoners, to removed your people from the keep, to leave and never come back!…”.
