5. )investigation down the stairs)
Evre says softly to anyone close enough to be listening “the difference between the brave and the foolish is the brave are the fools who live…”.
Acknowledging the danger, she gives a smile and continues, carefully stepping down the stairs, checking each as she goes Her owl also is on high alert, perched on a shoulder. (Owl passive perception 13, darkvision 120’, advantage on perception)
her floating lantern precedes her down the stairs.
(She’d gladly let someone else go first, but does not have a lot of patience to wait.).
The short 20 foot hallway ends at a set of stairs that lead 20 feet down. At the bottom of the stairs in a 10 foot hallway that ends in a thick oaken door banded with 3 inches of iron near the top and bottom.
Some of you are pretty sure there are no trip wires or pressure plates, your confidence that you are safe from traps begins to grow as you notice that this crypt seems pristine in condition, it just suffers from centuries of neglect.
Evre examines the door carefully and then- if she sees no obvious traps, having her unseen servant place it’s lantern on the floor, she has it open the door while she stands back 10’.
(The 14 above is her investigation check for the door)
You don't notice any traps as you near the decorative archway opposite the entrance to this chamber. This archway opens to a 20 foot hallway. At the end it descends down some stairs about 20 feet.
Each of the other 16 archways (8 per side) lead off into corridors drowned in darkness. (You can see down each as far a your light source allows, nothing for the 1st 20 feet and then a sarcophagi every 10 feet. Some corridors are longer than others depending on how big that branch of the family was.)
Kralog walks along the edge of the room, looking for anything unusual down the corridors, but heads towards the main hallway if he finds none.
*Perception: 21, and the light extends 80 feet down each passageway.*
(What does Kralog see?)

(If Kralog takes the time to check all 16 side passages, some end before the 80 foot and others continue on into darkness, each has sarcophagi beginning about 20 feet in and then every 10 feet or so after.)
You're all beginning to think elves don't trap their crypts as no visible signs of traps or deadfalls are detected. The door doesn't open. It is locked as you can hear the bolt give a slight rattle of metal against metal as the unseen servant tries to open the door.
