Yashin lets out a long, rumbling laugh “Responding is it? Very well then, have it your way.” He makes his way back to Brock and Ichika and stretches out beside them. “Prickly one, isn’t she? Almost makes me miss Aio. Do you think these things will hound us all of the way to the desert?”
“Who knows the wills of gods and all that. I wish they just agree and leave me to sleep in peace. At least this time I wasn’t a pin cushion,” says Brock with a laugh.
Umeven You are able to backtrack the snake-people, but find that it looks like they simply appeared, as if by teleportation, some distance from your camp. It looks like they were waiting here then, for a few hours, before they moved to attack.
Kallandra You recall the below... Zehir, the Cloaked Serpent... A wanderer in the shadows and the creator of snakes and serpentkin, Zehir is the evil god of poisons, assassins, and darkness. The ancient serpentkin worship him over all other deities, dragging screaming offerings to their temples in his honor. depiction. Many forgotten temples were once built to the Cloaked Serpent, and within these chambers his image was embedded within much of the architecture. He is shown as a human body with six arms and a gargantuan serpentine head, fanged and frilled in aggression. Strands of thick, dark hair that sprout from his scaled body form layers of swirling shadow, obscuring his form.
"He iss all." The Pit Master hisses out. "He sends uss to sstop thosse who works againsst the dragonlordss..."
Kallandra nods, relating to the others quietly what she remembers of The Cloaked Serpent. Then she turns back to the Pit Master, "Yes, I see. He must have appeared to you in his normal form...human with six arms and a serpents head. I can see why you follow him. So, how did you find us?"
Yashin pulls out the symbol he found on the abomination and shows the others. A human form with six arms and a serpent head. “This must be him. An ugly looking one.” He glances over at the snake-like bodies from the attack “But so are they, I can see their attraction to him. Why does he and Bane support these dragonlords, why do they seek the end of the world?”

Ssej gathers any of the horses that might have skittered away during the combat and then moves back to the group, waiting for the interrogation to be done with thinking, I should have just killed the thing and then maybe the undead loving magic user could have questioned it, we will get nothing useful out of the foul thing.
Ssej lays back down but propped up against a rock making sure nothing else dangerous approaches.
The Pit Master is now either remaining quiet, or calling curses down upon you. It does not appear likely to answer any more questions. What are you doing now? (I am not a fan of hurt something, then do an intimidation check. If you want more out of the pit master you will have to give it a reason to tell you something, and simply burning it with acid is not likely to intimidate something that lives with masters willing to do far worse to it just for fun. Heck it likely considers acid torture to itself a fun thing to do as a hobby.)
OOC: I’ll try to think of something but wether your a fan or not, that’s exactly how intimidation works: make the target afraid of you and pain is a universal motivator.

Kallandra ponders the Pit Master, considering. She'd gotten a little out of it, but now it was merely cursing at them. Clearly, unless she were prepared to resort to real torture, this course of action was done. Time to try something different. "Listen. We are enemies, you and us. Some of my companions would be just as happy to cut off your head but, personally, I see no reason to kill you," she says, still speaking Draconic. "However, I can't sell that to the others unless you've some use. Tell me how you found us and you can live. My word on it."

“I’m not sure how we can avoid being tracked from creatures of this level of sophistication.”
"It doesn't matter, they know where we are going, if not what we seek. We must move quickly before more groups appear in front of us." Yashin stretches out to grab what sleep he can before they continue the race.

"It's settled, then." Grishkar rushes to the captive Pit Master in a few long strides and strikes a hand out. The Necromancer's hand clamps the prey face and the flesh-carved rune on his palm flares with a plume of black smoke. The victim's body convulses and sputters as muscle and bone rots from within.
Something like vitality returns to the sickly mage's complexion. With a deep, satisfying breath, he turns to the others with a renewed split across his face, "Moving on, then. Everyone in the wagon, it'll only take a moment to give a path to cross our protective trench."

Kallandra moves to interpose herself between the necromancer and the prisoner. "You will not murder a prisoner, necromancer, not while I'm around!" Her hand flashes out, a surge of magic interrupting Grishkar's spell.
ooc: Sorry, but Kallandra, vowed not to permit the murder of yet another prisoner. Counterspell cast at 4th level, the highest spell slot she has.

Umeven shrugs. “A person who offers reasons to do a thing is much wiser than one who offers only reasons a thing cannot be done.” It has the cadence of a mantra, or quote.“What do you suggest we do with it Kallandra?”

Umeven attempts to track the snake people and find out which way they came from, then determine what’s in that direction.
