As Tylaerys looks into his eyes of void, she can see that they begin to swell with tears. Kane is crying. He buries his face into her shoulder, hugging her. “Please don’t cry. You crying is making me cry. I never meant to hurt you with my words. I should have said something better. It’s just…for the first time in along time…I care about some besides myself…and they don’t run away…I forgive you, but I’m the one who should ask for your forgiveness. I never meant to come between you and your goddess, but maybe…just maybe…our gods brought us together to meet. It’s part of our quest.” As Kane says the last sentence, he leans back from the hug and wipes his eyes. He hands Tylaerys a handkerchief to wipe her eyes with.
"That is a comforting sentiment Kane, I would like it to be so."Tylaerys says still feeling the warmth of the tiefling. She accepts the handkerchief and gently wipes away her tears. As she returns the handkerchief she quickly leans over and kisses away a tear on his cheek by the scar. She looks up at Kane and smiles shyly, blushing a little. As she does Kane notices Tylaerys seems to emit some kind of soft light, or is it...radiance. "You are a true gentleman Kane. I am not used to intimacy I´m afraid. My life in Silverymoon was...complex. Suffice it to say I have a close relative of great importance and it is a matter of interest to the Silvermarches that the relation remains a secret. Because of this I have never allowed myself to get close to anyone, even though I have had constant social relations with many people. I would like to tell you everything Kane, you have been very forthcoming after all, but you have to give me some time." She looks at him pleadingly. The light seems to fade again as Tylaerys leans back and returns to her vigilant watch.
Aster sits in a corner, observing and listening to the others talk with a slight huff. They gather their knees close to their chest, loosening the splints around them once more, and stare out towards the old man with a mild look of interest. Eventually, they feel their body grow cold as all of their muscles lock in place, and they appear to even stop their breath, still staring out into nothing.
Their mind still dwells, awake- For the first hour, they only think about the day- about the new chosen companions and the situation they found themselves in- They all seem to be devoted to their respected deities, but their thoughts quickly turn to resentment. What have the deities done for them to be so loved?
Something rouses in their chest at the thought- a memory of being restrained by sharp black bone-like spikes and desperation and their own voice, though much clearer sounding than it is now, calling out for help.
They blink and shake their head, clearing it from the slight trance they had slipped into, tears appearing at the corners of their eyes. They sniff and stand up, stumbling a few feet to find another place to settle
Kane looks at her fondly, until she kisses him. His eyes get big and he kinda zones out. After a moment, he touches his cheek, "That's never happened before....it felt....nice." He smiles a big toothy grin. "And you are the finest lady I have ever meet. A secret relative? Well, I trusted you to tell you my secret, I would hope you'd trust me as well, but," he holds up a hand to stop her from interjecting, "I completely understand if you need time. I want you to tell me when you want to tell me. And if your glowing is part of your secret, I will wait for that secret too. And.....thank you." he says as he holds his cheek, "I hope I can soon return the favor."
Kane seems surprised that she isn’t aware. He gently takes her hand and shows her. “You didnt know you could glow. This is the first time? I hope this doesn’t mean anything bad. Maybe it has to do with Mystra. But I will say…you look very nice when you glow.” He smiles as her and lets go of her hand.
"Oh, well, thanks Kane."Blushing again, being very vulnerable right now it seems. "But the glowing, I didn´t know. This magic, it is new to me and I can hardly control it yet. I definitely must improve my control over this radiance." She adds still looking a bit confused over this strange side effect of the magic she was granted.
Being the gentleman he is, Kane does not take advantage of Tylaerys vulnerability. He simply looks at her with kind, void filled eyes. “You are right. Controlling it would be imperative. It might attract unwanted attention,” he gestures to the back door where the tendrils have been spotted. “I would help, but I’m honestly at a lost for how to help. I’ve never dealt with glowing people before.”
Allyn wakes from a restless slumber, tossing and turning while clutching his blanket. He had never been this disturbed, even while trying to sleep in the gutters and alleys on those cold nights in Neverwinter as a child. The dream is fixed in his mind Who was that old man, was it Oghma? He had never been visited by the Lord of Knowledge and although it sounds like something he would ask, he could not be sure.
He hears the others talking and asks “I had strange dreams, it almost feels like I am being pushed to find the source of those shadows you mention. Should we investigate that room...is it safe for the others to sleep?” Although he is not cold, he pulls his blanket closer around him.
Quip finally stirs awake "Same dream?" She stretches to a seated position and shakes her head before saying "I think it's the god Azuth, less popular than Mystra, but the god of 'magic' not just 'the weave'"
(I have other thoughts on who the old man is, but not sure how much Quip would know about ancient world famous wizards)
Tylaerys looks over at Allyn and Quip and quickly regains her composure. "I think I may have had the same dream. It would seem like an invitation to investigate that dark path into the mountain. We should wake the others if we are going to though I think. Whatever we may find there will surely overcome us unless we are all contributing and cooperating." Tylaerys gently awakes any still sleeping members of the congregation and informs them of the situation. When she has enough attention she continues in a soft voice as to not disturb the sleeping dwarves. "Whatever we are doing to investigate the dark path into the mountain, watch your step over there by the entrance to the path. Freya has placed a Glyph of warding there and I´m not sure if we could trigger it. Any suggestions on how to start our investigation?" She looks over the others with a fervor to serve her goddess.
(OOC: Going to write this under the assumption that this is after midnight. Hope that´s ok with you Almarath)
Kalec nods. "It could be Azuth, as he's depicted with a staff. I wouldn't say less popular than Mystra. He's more like her subordinate. But visions can be tricky. Although Azuth is my patron, I wish to proceed with caution if we want to investigate this mystery."

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
"Yes I think we all would agree to investigate with caution but unless we possess some kind of scouting magic we will just have to go down that path, together. Would it be reasonable to suggest that you should take point Kalec? I will be close behind with the healing light Mystra has blessed me with."Tylaerys looks to Kalec and the others for opinions on the matter.
"Following" Quip says drawing out her rapier and crackling the knuckles on her free hand. Anyone observant enough would notice a light resonate ringing coming from Quips... Scales?
"Thanks Aster..." Tylaerys smiles at the reborn, now being used to their unususal visage "...although the dream might be a trick, as Kane suggested, I myself feel obligated to see this through as it could be a part of the quest I have been given."
"Thanks Quip, glad you are coming too." She smiles, curious over the resonance in Quips words. "Shall we go then?" Tylaerys readies herself, staff in hand and looks to the others for any objections.
Allyn shrugs his blanket off his shoulders, grabs his lute, and stands to join the rest of the group. “Right then, let’s go. Just like the old tales of brave adventurers trekking the Underdark”
"Good Allyn, glad you are joining us. I would like to think our deeds will be worthy of a song one day." Smiling at the lute wielding half-elf. "Perhaps we will even deserve a name, like The Guardians of the Weave or something." She laughs as she says it as it is still a far fetched dream for her. "Kalec, Kane, are you coming? Let´s do this before the dwarves wake up and talks us out of it." She smiles again, full of excitement and fervor over the adventure to come.
Kane sees that everyone is going to open the door. Protecting Tylaerys is his biggest concern for him, so he gets up and readies his bag. “I see that we are actually going through with this. I have Mage Hand to open the door, so everyone may want to step back a bit. Please..be careful.” He says, looking at Tylaerys.

"If it is what Mystra wants." They make a face, heading forward "Then I'm coming with. Would be stupid to ignore a message from the gods would it."
