A moss-covered corridor extends beyond the second door. Tree roots hang from the sagging ceiling, and the air reeks of rot and damp. Ahead, a bas-relief carving of a bearded devil's face adorns the wall at a T-shaped intersection. The devil's mouth is a well of utter darkness.
Ever eager, Shariel will ready an arrow to fire into the blackness. She will pause for a moment to see if everyone agrees with her plan this time.

There is nothing coming out of the mouth, but it is a darkness that seems unnatural and otherworldly. Other than that, the stone face stares at you. There is the path right or left, from that point.
"Ok, that has to die," Shariel looses her arrow at the door, ready for a counterattack (was NangNang available for eacaping the pit or did I need to use Defensive Step? It's either 2 points spent or some spidergirl superpowers for free)

If you loose an arrow, it thunks into some part of the stone door. the mouth, and whatever is in it, make no further move. Slither had just peered into it, and something took a swipe at his face. Not his moneymaker!
Heading left, you cross over a metal grate on the floor as you head down the hallway, the sound and sights of slowly running water can be seen below it. Creepers and vines cling to the walls of this corridor, at the end of which is an arched crystal window, six feet wide and ten feet high. Through it, you can see a dark chamber. Through the window, you see a vaulted tomb, overgrown with miss and creepers. A stone sarcophagus rests on a stepped dais in the middle of the floor. On the wall behind the sarcophagus, two large statues of bears grip a five-foot diameter bronze disk embossed with a dozen glaring eyes.
Always refer to the player map in the DM notes to see where we are.
The glass doesn't seem to be very thick, and it's old. A solid hit could break it, but from where you currently are now, there is no way inside unless you do that.

Slither looks into the mouth. Ooc: devil's sight can see normally in darkness, magical or otherwise.
Slither also uses all his healing lights things on bree 20
An enormous shadowy claw rakes at your face as you peer in:
Attack: 18 Damage: 18
...then retreats into the mouth again.

Slither quickly avoids the attack, does a double take and moves to follow the others
Onward to the left!
OOC:To the left, to the left.
Mal is going to hold Bree's hand from now on, in case of more pitfall traps.
