"Have you ever heard of the Bushidō code? It teaches us our moral values, stressing a combination of sincerity, frugality, loyalty, martial arts mastery, and honour until death. It's a way of life in my homeland. During a battle, six months ago, my lord brother Ashikaga Yoshimasa..." (she bows her head, and continues speaking to you but looking at the ground) "was captured by the enemy. He was led to the center of the battlefield, and was about to be murdered, dishonorably. You see, the Bushidō code teaches that a samurai should be allowed to take their own life...seppuku...and voluntarily die with honor rather than fall into the hands of their enemies. However, upon seeing this, I quickly grabbed a katana from one of my father's vassals, charged the battlefield, and cut the arms off my brothers executioner. I saved Yoshimasa's life. However, this dishonored him, and my father, because it prevented him from dying honorably...and for that, I was banished from my fathers kingdom, in perpetuity. I hope to prove to my father that I am worthy and honorable enough to return...some day."
“Well... I can’t say I agree with your code or your families’ values, but I hope so too. If it’s any consolation, everyone else seems to think that saving the life of someone you care for is just about the best thing you can do. So, I’m proud of you for that.”

”His name is Tundro. Boom!!” She says as the minitops tries to scratch itself with a hind leg, and lands heavily. “He’s perfect!” She scrambles on board (size small, acrobatic, weight 35 lbs) and scratches him behind his frill.
At Yasei’s story:
”Whoa, that’s terrible! I’m glad you’re out here with us, we’re much nicer than they sound. Family is completely overrated...” her sparkles turn dark for a moment, then she sees Mal looking at her and smiles brightly. “I mean, putting up with brothers? They are the worst. But I’d save my brother’s life, too.”

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
"Nah he looks more like a Bumble." Maldrek give the dinosaur an affectionate pat.
"It's not like you're a walk in the park sis. I remember a certain gnome who started the fight back at the Rat Burrow Tavern and needed me to come bail them out." Maldrek smirks at Bree and Yasei.
"But like she said, ashame about your folks. Some people just don't know a good thing when they have it."
Some of the guides, a few I left out, had you do some silly things that were inconsequential to the adventure, and would have only dragged out the campaign. I presented the best guides with the best potential for fun. Hope you can forgive me for that =P
OOC: I found a way for us to make a ton of extra gold before we leave first thing in the morning. We just stepped into a gold mine! (I saw these at the mall candy store tonight)
With morning, you all begin preparations to depart, with Syndra and O'tamu at the gates waving farewell and best wishes on your journey. Musharib, excited to liberate his home of Hrakhamar, and find Moradin's Gauntlet, happily helps prepare for the journey. Bumble is packed and ready to go, and the boat O'tamu lent you all is shipworthy, should you want to travel by river. For each of you, this journey is not just saving the world from the Death Curse, but something more, deep down inside you as well. It's hard to believe just a day ago you were all strangers.
Hrakhamar, on the players map of Chult in the DM's Notes under the Campaign tab, is at the shovel and pick symbol to the LEFT OF THE WORD "RIVER TATH". It is about 18 days away if you follow the River Shoshenstar to the River Tath from Port Nyanzaru. Musharib knows that time is of the essence, and recommends making haste by sailing along those two rivers. Along those two rivers are locations known on your map, like Camp Vengeance, Camp Righteous, and Mbala. Should you wish to explore those locations, you may, but be mindful that time is of the essence. I will alert you all when you are near those locations.
So with that being said, each hex is 10 miles across, and the jungle is teeming with life. Each day that goes by, I will roll for an encounter. If you guys are ok with travelling by boat, and yes it'll fit everyone and everything, I will begin rolling for encounters.
About three hours till departure.
