OOC: Very well! Let’s go!
Assuming we’re on a bit of an incline, Clayton and Spooks will jump towards the largest one, “Howdy partners, we’re gonna be taking those slaves off your hands!” Clayton will bring down his greatsword on top of the big yuan-ti, Attack: 11 Damage: 14 magic slashing damage, Attack: 17 Damage: 8 magic slashing damage, and Attack: 13 Damage: 13 magic slashing damage.
The tormented soul bound to this world against its will is also going to attack the biggest yuan-ti, Attack: 16+3 Damage: 6 necrotic damage. If, by a miracle, that hits, then he needs to make a Con Save.
Clayton's attack, basically, starts a chain reaction that will be explored after all the player characters attack. So, those that haven't gone, please do so. =)

Bree
"No, I.. what the! Bacon!" She looks startled at herself, but recovers. "Spook was supposed to come up behind the leader, from the ground, and make him turn his back on us! So we'd surprise them! Not rush in headlong..." She snarls and starts preparing an action.
OOC > Technically, a surprise round is a surprise round, but Bree/Papazotl doesn't like having her clearly superior plans ignored. :)
After everyone goes (because she's last) Bree will use her surprise round to cast a bolt of fire at the leader, or another yuan-ti if the leader isn't with us anymore.
Fire Bolt at Yuan-ti leader: 16 to hit, 17 fire damage.
Cantrip, so no Wild Surge roll.
OOC > The rolling of critical misses isn't even funny anymore. Sigh. :/
(Sorry for being a ghost today. I'm in the field for the reserves forbthe next 3 weeks, so I can only pop in a couple times a day at the most.)
Shariel refocuses her mind to absorb as much information as possible (Psychic Focus: Precognition, Advantage on initiative), climbs the cavern wall stealthily (11), though obviously not used to it, and readies her bow to fire at the slavemaster with an extra psychic kick.

Your firebolt misses Issar, who ducks it cleanly, and, ridiculously, the bolt hits the cave wall and rebounds back and hits you in the head. You manage to spin away just in time to avoid damage, but your head smacks against the wall because you dodged the wrong way, knocking you out cold for 4 rounds.

Seeing Clayton charge, Slither goes in with his shillelagh, booming blade, stick-n-move attack using advantage due to invisibility, attacking the yuan ti furthest from the party entrance and returning to his spot in the northern passageway: 13 for 14 (not rolling secondary damage because it won't get a chance to move)
Great! Lets just cut to the chase, here, shall we?
The slaves are greatly startled by the sneak attack, never even thinking in this forbidden place, much less in the lost jungles of Chult, that they would be rescued or helped in any way possible. But your combined attack gave them hope. They pick up their broken tools, and as ineffective as they are, they join the attack, and when the dust settles, the yuan-ti, including Issar, are beaten to death at your feat. The stand there bewildered and mentally exhausted and afraid so, unfortunately, they won't provide much conversation to you all, but are eager to escape instead of having a pleasant conversation with those responsible for their freedom. They do not know much about the compound, as they were drugged and captured, brought here, and forced to live in the immediate area to widen the caverns.
Don't apologize, this is what I wanted to happen. 14 slaves, tired, hungry, drugged, and bewildered. Anxious to escape. They noise everyone made will probably attract more yuan-ti if you're not quick.
Issar twitches violently before he dies "You...will not...essssssssscape.."

(If obly Grishkar were here..."Transcend the flesh and become greater than your masters under the will of my Lord!" Then he begins to ritualistically execute and reanimate everyone. Zombie army vs. Yuan-ti army, anyone?)
Shariel will maintain her Focus as she creeps to the door and listens for activity.

Ooc: oh, I know, we'll pull the Ole number 6 on 'em
OOC: So, how do we want to engage here. We’ll need to dive into the center. Slither sneaks up to the guy, drops invisibility, then we all engage?

Bree, you come to with a massive headache.
OOC > Didn't mean to prod, sorry.

"Ow. Ow. Ow." She gets up, likely with Mal's help, and stands there woozy for a while.

ISSAR THE SLAVEMASTER - STATUS: ELIMINATED
Clayton mutters, “Don’t intend to. We’re gonna take Ras Nsi head on.” And then let’s get moving! Send the slaves toward where we entered.

Grateful, the slaves run away towards the hole, using rope and other tools to climb up the hole to the surface.
On to which area next? You can head north down the passage from THIS cavern, or head back and go to the other area north with the door.
OOC: Might be good to check the door
