Pendergast takes the blow from the sword, ready to return the favor; Ash, however, does the deed for him. He nods at the dragonkin in thanks and then hears the exchange between Merai and the Goblins. He turns and takes the Dash action towards their location. As he does so, he calls out, "I don't know who your masters are, but you won't be returning to them."
Perception: 24

OOC - It is a basic poison (different than the one that affected Danica) it is just extra damage. I had rolled your save when the bolt hit.
Little Iron's crossbow bolt strikes a goblin in the eye, falling it.
There is one goblin left - he kneels before Pendergast, begging for his life.
"Let me go. I promise to never do anything bad again. I swear it! Yes I dos I swear it. I didn't wants to be here near the library, but captain ordered us on this scouting mission. I would have preferred to stay with Ragnark in the North"
The Goblin clutches at his mouth - realizing he had just spilled some information - he is now visibly trembeling.
Ash begins moving towards her companions, dropping her rage. The tail begins to wither and shrink, eventually sluffing off and leaving only her tail bone once more. She swings the elvish blade, getting a feel for how it handles. She decided to leave the questioning and talking to those better suited to it. The brains of her slain enemies were her contribution to her party on this day. While most would be upset or disconcerted after a battle like this, Ash had never looked more at peace. She even started to hum a bit in Draconic.

(OOC- posting this way as I don’t have enough time for a long RP post- Merai wants to find out immediately if there’s any more coming today, (She Needs another long rest back at the cave,. She’s a pincushion of goblin crossbow bolts right now). how many they have and what their plans are, and also where the elvish sword the hobgoblin had came from).
The lone goblin perks up at the offer of food, only to cower once more Ash arrives to intimidate them.
"I will complies - thens you let Goba go" (referring to himself in 3rd person) "Only I knows where the captives are - they'll dies if I don't show you where."
He motions to the sword Ash is holding.
"They killed the other scouting parties, but the Captains gots them last night - they were battle and travel weary so wes got the upper hand."
"Goba didn't want to come this close to the civilized lands, Goba prefers home in his caves, but Captain said he had orders from Ragnark. I don't know anything else other than we were to scout - captain seemed excited though.
"You are goodly folks - let Goba go and I will show you where the captives are and cause no more harm"
If the party seems to comply - he will point down the forest path the Worg created. Following the trail it created would be quite easy. He will then try to depart into the night as quickly as possible - dashing and bonus action hiding in fear the party may turn.
Stealth 7
If you follow the trail only a quarter mile you come to a rocky outcropping of granite boulders. You can tell a temporary camp had been set up here. Chained to one of the large rocks are two individuals - severally beaten and battered. From a quick glance - one seems to be a human Druid and the other an elf in the finest of armor.
Since Goba rolled a 1 stealth - he obviously did not do a good job hiding if you want to kill or capture him. You do feel he was sincere in what he told you and you wouldn't get more information form an interrogation.
Pox recaptures the goblin and brings him out of the woods at rapier point, on threat of death. Merai says “We will tell you when you can go. I want to ensure your captives are satisfied.” She turns to the prisoners, gives a bow, and says “Prince Ebberon of Shimistra and the Druid Newander, I presume? I am Merai, scholar of the Edificant Library. My companions and I were sent by DeanTobius to meet you at the gate and escort you back to the library. I am deeply sorry to see you have had a challenging journey. The goblins and bugbear attacked us- fortunately we defeated them, killing all but this one, who led us to you. We have your sword, Prince. Let’s get you freed and back to our camp, as you can see we too need rest and healing.
This goblin has promised he will behave if we let him go, in exchange for leading us here. He did try to sneak off before we were done with his help. Do you have any questions for him?”
she moves quickly to unchain them, Pox with the owl’s help, searches the camp for anything of interest or value.
Newander and Prince Ebberon will need a little bit of healing.
They nod in agreement at Merai when she identifies them.
The prince stands and takes his sword back with a curt nod to Ash. The sword's faint blue glow intensifies as the sword is reunited with its owner.
The prince says "I am ashamed to say we had fallen to that crew. We had fought two other battles against other scouting parties, but were to battle weary when they caught us coming to meet you."
Newander begins "we traveled just the two of us in hopes of avoiding detection, but we weren't prepared for the Scouting parties to have come this close to the Edificant library"
Ebberon Continues "and that brings us to why we have come - we believe an evil is brewing. In my homeland of Shimistra Forest - several of these goblinoid scouting parties have been deflected, but they are pushing deeper into our lands. "
Newander Continues "they have begun burning the forest in the Northern reaches of Shimistra Forest and --- well show them the insignia."
Prince Ebberon points out the same insignia that was on the bottle of poison the bandits had used - three teardrops connected with intersecting lines. Upon closer investigation of the slain enemies you find the insignia in different locations - on a pair of gloves, carved into the hilt of a sword or bow and the Hobgoblin an inked tatoo of it on his forearm.
Newander spits on the Ground "Talona, the Lady of Poision. She hasn't been worshiped in centuries - she is a mostly defunct Goddess"
Prince Ebberon solemnly finishes "I believe she is rising again and her agents are making a move for the region. We had come to the library in hope of getting aid from the library, however, I fear the enemy is also moving against you here as well."
The Prince suggest you rest for the night and head back to the library with all haste in the morning.
"I thank you for returning my sword - it has been in my family for generations. Newander, do we have anything to show our thanks to these heros"
The druid thinks for a moment and then pulls out a leather whip.
"Why yes - I was going to give this as a gift to an old friend Cadderly, but he is not one for battle. You all deserve it and will get more use of it. An old wizard friend and I crafted this together in a thunderstorm"
This whip was crafted by the Druid Newander and a wizard friend during a thunderstorm. The leather whip cracks like thunder when it strikes.
Properties +1 to Hit and Damage Damage Die D6 (from D4) Once per day - as an ACTION (not bonus) - when the whip hits a target - you can cast the Thunderwave Spell (as part of the action) centered on where the whip strikes.

"Now that that's done, I would feel much better about getting back to our cave if we plan on remaining out here tonight." Little Iron seemed uncharacteristically terse, his eyes continuing to dart at his surroundings, hardly giving much notice to the people he was treating. Absent was the upbeat banter, the comments on fabulous hair (which the Prince no doubt had) and no assumed familiarity. His actions spoke louder than his words, he did not like being attacked as often as he had been in the past few days. Seeing the effect of the poison on the parties guide and then he himself being poisoned had sobered him to the degree of risk he was undertaking.

Merai yells out to the remaining goblins “Tell your masters the Library grounds are OFF LIMITS”
Quil's sharp eyes help locate the fleeing monsters. Merai and Pox bring down two of the four fleeing goblins.
One Goblin shouts back.
