The earth Elemental stops in its tra c js as rabaqui approaches. He turns and charges toward the sneaky rogue. (Tremorsense to 60ft, equal tonthe diatance between Tabaqui and the earrh Elemental at the start.)

<ftr, i'm saying you all see the water elemental. They are sometimes virtually invisible in water, but this one is actually bound in armor, hence you would he capabke of seeing it, and given your high rolls, you can see him.>
(Ok, well it wasn't really Tab's intention to go a different direction than the party, merely to scout ahead, but..)
Seeing his cover blown, Tabaquithe Jackal will Dash, BA Dash and Move, a total of 90 feet away from the Earth elemental but also away from the party. In other words, trying to lead the monster away from the gate, and away from his comrades.
<If you guys were heading north, that's the side the Earth Elemental was on anyhow. I mentioned the tremor sense since no matter how high anyone rolled stealth, if they got within 60ft of him, (and he's within 60ft of both northern points of ingress,) he would sense anyone on land in that radius. If anyone wants to try to be stealthy in the water, that can still be on the table. I'm guessing you'd approach the lake from some point more than 60ft north of the castle and move south through the water, so it's possible the group could still avoid detection if they tried, especially if they were employing water breathing. If you'd like to try it, I'm actually fine with just saying it succeeds. If we're comfortable with that, you are now aware of two elementals (one earth, one water) wearing armor, and are actually within the walls kf the castle undetected. If thst doesn't suit, let me know.
You can ignore the initiatives for now, we'll just pocket them for later. You're in the water. The breaks in the wall are the arches, they have 10ft of wall above them, measured from the top of the arch. You came in from the right right (North).
(This was already posted in the other thread accidentally. If you saw it, note that i have corrected my orientation. North appears on the RIGHT side of the map.)
Angus suggests quietly that they ignore the guard towers and attempt to enter the tower surrounded by water. (Are there any visible entrances to the island tower?)
Let me know if you pop up out if the water and if you are doing so stealthily, that should have a stealth check. Indicate where you emerge as well. At the moment, I'm assuming you are all underwater so you were able to sneak past the elementals. This also means you have yet seen what is above the water's surface within the castle walls.
"Yes, I'm going to take the northern passage. Are you afraid of water?"- Marlyth replies to Tauzan while tip-toeing gradually near the baseline and places the sole of her sandals on the surface of the river. "Come with me"- she beckons by waving her hands and using the telepathic link.
Walks stays with them as she is not very stealthy.

Marlyth removes a cork from an empty vial of potion and dips it into the water of the lake, then she uses her fingers to draw markings on the surface of the water. It will take her about ten minutes to complete the ritual casting of Water Walk on her companions.
Marlyth spends another ten minutes to ritual cast Water Breathing using multiple pieces of reed. She will place herself underwater and try to move stealthily while maintaining equal distance from the underwater group and the group using the other entrance. She follows Calner's lead but wants to act as a support caster.
@InkedBee ( thanks. I assumed it was consensus we'd like water breathing for stealth as no stealth benefit is afforded by walking on the surface and that spell's effect actually makes it nigh impossible to remain underwater and mobile)
@eveyone: is the general idea to have the roughe scout the south shore of the "island" tower. (Fun fact: I'm not sure if the castle created something below the surface of the tower to support it or its its just floating there by magic. Module doesn't say. You'd know by where you're standing, though. So.... I'm going with the latter. It's just floating there by magic, a little earthen foundation with a tower perched on top.

Tabaqui the Jackal will walk/swim under or around the island tower to the southern edge. From about 30 feet south of the tower, he will slowly rise just enough that his eyes are above water, and examine the southern face of the building, and the ground supporting it.
Tabaqui peers from the water to see the southern wall of a 4 story tower comprised of immaculate cleanly cut stone blocks arranged in perfect geometric alignment. Such regularity and smooth cuts are beyond all bit the most meticulous and skilled if masons. There are no entrances on the ground level, but the second floor and above have some windows. The arches connect the third floor of this rower with the two corner towers on the lakeshore. The eastern wall is constructed in the same manner, but there is something, barely noticeable that catches the elf's eye. The perfect horizontal lines in the mortar between rows of stone blocks are skewed ever ao slightly at one point in the wall. A series of such irregularities runs some six feet from the floor, and about 8 feet further north on the east wall, another line of irregularities.
While he examines the wall, Tabaqui becomes aware of some soldiers sparring with swords and shields on the shore to his east, within the castle walls on the narrow strip of land. They wear armor marked with the same symbol the hobgoblon warchanter bore: the face of a lion on a field of gray. Fires burn within the north and south towers their smoke escaping by chinneys set into the tops of each turret, hinting at the presence of more occupants inside.
Tabaqui will communicate telepathically with Calner, relaying to him all that he sees of the tower and the troops and structures on the shore.
"There may be a hidden entrance on the east wall, but I would need someone to create a distraction for the troops, or else I would be directly in their line of sight when I try to open it."
Calner becomes aware if something moving in the water to the south. It's a breastplate, and there are some smaller items around it, the white group moving as one toward the adventurers in the center of the castle. (If he checks North, he can see the Elemental noted earlier is still there, not moving much if at all)
<@all, I picked Calner at random, if anyone else wants to do something in response to the sighting, assume you see it too. Just seemed weird that you would all see it at the same time>
(ok, i hesitate to mention this, but where is Hamish? surely he couldn't have escaped detection...)
Up to you, he's just an NPC following your whims. He can't fit on that ledge a d I didn't want to thrash your stealth becasue if a giant NPC, so is he way north in the water, waiting for something to pop off before surfacing or is he on land belly crawling his way to the castle trying his best to look like a rock or 3rd thing suggested by the players. He'll go wherever you tell him.
(ooc: directed at the party, should we try to climb up and get inside by way of one of the windows?)
(ooc: directed at the DM, what is the weather like? is there any smoke from a chimney, light from a window, or anything else that might suggest anyone is living in this tower... the one that we are trying to get inside of?)
I thought I mentioned it, but my phone actually did die and I ended up rewriting, so maybe omitted? There is smoke rising from the chimney built into the roofs of the central 4 story tower, the keep you have your backs against right now, as well as the north and south towers on the shore.
Additional: the towers on shore have doors on the second floor, with stairs to access the narrow lakeshore within the castle walls.
No precipitation, but overcast. Middday, so not dim light, but as the sun lowers in the west, the shadow of the keep and castle wall will make much of the area dim light in a few hours.
The north tower flies a post flag of green on which four swords align to form a diamond. The south tower has a flag of grey with the lion head symbol also marking the combatants sparring on the field. (If I didn't already mention a number, let's say there are 4 presently on the field in open view)

Looks like a tiny strip of land on the south part. Let me see if how many of you I can squeeze in there. This is inside the castle wall, stlll, right?
