Cory cultist doesn't see the longsword until it is too late and almost splits the human in half. There is now one fewer cultist for the party to deal with.
Still engaged in the battle, Conway the half-orc cultist shouts back to Kiari on Orcish:
Bah! You fight on the side of these weaklings who cling to the old order. Tiamat will be reborn in glory and swallow this world with fire! You will pay for setting foot on the threshold of this holy place. Hail Tiamat!
(I'll give Inglenook about 48 hours to post and then move to Cale's action)
Seeing Kirari conversing with the orcish cultist, Thaddeus focuses on the human cultist that remains.
“This dragon religion must not teach much in the way of combat or weapons training. Your footwork is lousy and it looks like a stiff breeze would knock you over.”
Vicious Mockery: The human cultist must make a DC 13 wisdom check or suffer 4 psychic damage and disadvantage on their next attack.

Travis lets out another grunt of pain when the cultist lands a lucky blow with the scimitar. He levels his gaze at the attacker and lashes out with a hard swing of his sword.
Scratch seems to startle Conway more than injure the half-orc, but Inglenook's bolt finishes Conway off!
The party now stands to the east of a very messy kobold barracks (even messy by kobold standards). The path leading back to the drake training area is filled with kobold footprints making it clear that the kobolds using this chamber were caring for the drakes you defeated earlier. The pathway to the east has a small iron gate (about kobold height) that has been opened. This is where Cyanwrath and the cultists you just defeated found you.
As you head down the corridor, you would see a large chamber with torches lighting the way. The chamber is much more massive than any you have encountered in the cave so far.
This chamber has been enlarged and reshaped from its original form. The floor and three of the walls are smooth, and stalactites and stalagmites have been polished into gleaming columns. Every surface glistens with moisture, and the air is warm and humid. The flat walls of the chamber are decorated with shallow abstract carvings of dragons. Dragons’ tails coil into intricate patterns and knots that flow across the walls. The creature portrayed in the northwest corner stands out: a five-headed dragon, rising from an erupting volcano. Other dragons, which seem dwarfed by the five-headed monstrosity, flock to its side. A small, wooden chest with silver and mother-of-pearl inlays sits on the floor in the corner, in front of the monstrous dragon carving.

“Well done everyone! Travis, you have proved without a doubt that you are his superior. He was a strong fighter but you are something special my boy!” The professor also looks about the field of battle for anything of value. 12 Perception
He would be particularly interested in the Dragonborn as he appeared to be highly trained and might have superior weaponry. He would approach his body and nudge him with his foot before giving his gear a closer inspection. 21 investigation
Kiari finds that the cultists each have black dragon pendants carved out out onyx (much nicer than what you would have found previously), and that Carrie has 3 gp while Conway has 5 gp in their purses. The other two cultists have a combined 2 sp in their moneybelts. Each of the four cultists carried the curved scimitar of the cult.
Travis would see that Cyanwrath is still gripping his greatsword and also had a spear strapped to his back. Both have dragons breathing fire close to the point of the blades etched into them. the dragonborn also is wearing blue dragon scale mail.
The Prof. would notice the same equipment on Cyanwrath but also see that his purse contains 10 gp. Nothing else seems of value as the messiness of the kobold quarters is quite distracting to him.
Edging into the large chamber, Cale would find a column to easily conceal himself. Clearly these cultists have a fondness for dragons, but nothing else seems to stand out to him. He does spy the chest on the alter, though, along with a smaller opening that a human could pass through behind the alter.

Kirari collects the coins and scimitars as well as the 4 black dragon onyx pendants, "Here's what I found on the four cultists, 4 gold, 9 silver, and these 4 onyx dragon pendants. The Onyx should be worth something, and these 4 scimitars should anyone want one? What do you think of Cyanwrath's gear?"
As she approaches the others, she touches on Travis shoulder and casts cure wounds at first level Healing 5
"Oh, those look fine, shall I identify them? I can do all three though it will drain my remaining magic until I rest." She asks drawing out the pearl required for the spell. (1 slot per, 3 slots left)
The professor points out the weapon and armor of the dragonborn. “These appear to be well made. Though I do not know if they are imbed with any magics or not. Can anyone see magical energies?” He scoops up the pouch of gold and passes it to Kirari, shaking the coins around inside. “Don’t forget this fellow’s pouch. He won’t be needing it.”
(Sorry, forgot to post on Travis' action!)

On her turn...
In Orcish she responds with a slightly over enthusiastic grin,
Too bad you won't be there to see it!
and swings her Great Club Attack: 4 Damage: 6
Inglnook and the clockwork feline miss their target as the cultists share a glance of surprise at seeing the feline.
Then, with a daring sneak attack, Cale cuts down Caron Cultist. Only two cultists remain: A human and a half-orc.

Carrie then attacks Travis with their scimitar Attack: 23 Damage: 5
Kiari's club connects hits Conway the half-orc on the side of the head, which seems to further anger him!
Escobert, not understanding the conversation, jumps in and swings his axe at Conway Attack: 13 Damage: 5
Conway cultist swings his scimitar at Kiari Attack: 8 Damage: 4
and growls at her in Orcish:
Ha Ha, I find that most unlikely; I only pity that you will not see the Queen's return in glory!
(Travis and then Inglenook are up next)
With Escobert's axe connecting with the half-orc cultist's shoulder along with Kiari's attack, Conway looks to be having trouble standing.
Travis lets out another grunt of pain when the cultist lands a lucky blow with the scimitar. He levels his gaze at the attacker and lashes out with a hard swing of his sword.
Longsword Attack: 16 Damage: 7
((Funky dice above; let's try that again))
Longsword Attack: 8 Damage: 6
Travis' sword connects and Carrie the Cultist falls in a heap on the floor!
(Inglenook is up next, and Conway Cultist is the only target left)
The gnome levels his crossbow at the remaining target, ready to fire. Before doing so he commands Scratch to attack. "You go first."
Attack: 7 Damage: 7
Then if that hasn't finished off the creature, Inglenook's index finger tenses and lets off a bolt at the target.
Attack: 17 Damage: 12
Scratch seems to startle Conway more than injure the half-orc, but Inglenook's bolt finishes Conway off!

Travis looks about a bit, focused particularly on the fallen dragonborn warrior, checking to see if he has any high-end armor or anything like that.

Cale wipes his brow and looks around quickly in case of a second wave of attackers.
"Anything good? 'Cos the decor in this place has me a little worried about what else we might find down here"
He looks for a box or something to hide behind, then takes up lookout. While doing so, he also ponders the significance of the imagery in the room.

"Nice haul Trav!" says Cale, approaching the altar. "Ooh hello, little chesty chest - and a passageway too"
Approaching very carefully, Cale keeps an eye out for any sign of traps on the altar or the chest, then the passage.
