With the first drake down, Travis is able to connect with the second as its arms cling to the ledge at your level. Travis nearly takes its arm off and then Inglenook's bolts go right into its shoulder. It uses its remaining strength to get to the top of the ledge and is now on your level. It snarls and attacks Travis.
Escobert's swing connects with the drake and takes what is left of its arm off! It dies, collapses and rolls back down into the lower chamber. As it falls with a "thud," you would see some handholds carved into the ledge that would allow you to crawl down as you get closer to the ledge.
Inglenook, seeing that the danger has passed and feeling much more brave, hauls himself over the ledge aned makes his way down to the lower level to have a look around.
(@DarwinCullins, Yes, I think we can still count that temp HP)
Inglenook finds that the area below looks to have been a training ground for the young drakes. There are tools and snares as well as evidence of meat similar to the kind you found behind the curtain.
Just a few feet to the east, there is a natural hallway built into the rock.
As Travis peers into the hallway, he would see the following: Thin mattresses of straw covered with badly cured furs form small beds that are haphazardly positioned around the chamber. Rats and small lizards scurry through the food scraps and moldy wine skins littering the floor.
There is another passageway heading to the south just beyond this room.

Escobert turns to the Prof. and says, "The handholds for the kobolds seem sturdy enough for me, lad; no need for a rope." he climbs down, looks around, and squares up his stance in case they come across some more kobolds.
Then, quick and heavy footsteps come from the southern corridor; it is Cyanwrath, the dragonborn Travis fought back in Greenest!
The dragonborn shows a twisted smile and points to Travis, saying, “You survived! I don’t know whether to be disappointed or pleased. It’s a mix of both, I think. Let us finish what we started...Hero of Greenest.”
Cyanwrath is flanked by four human berserkers who follow him into the kobold barracks. They form a circle around the dragonborn as he beckons Travis to meet him again in one-on-one combat.
Cyanwrath initiative: 17
(I'll take Travis' initiative roll if he would like to fight, and everyone else can decide if they would want to interfere with Cyanwrath's one-on-one challenge)

Travis looks notably unenthusiatic at the prospect--like a man who has seen too much and simply wants a cold beer and a warm bed. Then he lets out a sigh and his eyes gleam a bit.
He shakes his head. "Back for more, eh?"he says. He reaches toward his shield arm and pulls the straps a little tighter.
"I can do this all day,"he says flatly, ready to go, knowing he's a better fighter now than the first time they battled. He just hopes he can be as lucky again.
The professor chuckles at Escobert’s reply. “I suppose I forgot about the kobolds climbing up, what with the drakes.”
As the Dragonborn and his group enter and issue their new challenge. The professor becomes very serious. Seeing Travis gear up and prepare for battle he nods to the warrior. “Remember what we have practiced and the lessons learned from your previous fight with him. You handled him before, you can do it again.”
The professor uses Bardic inspiration on Travis (Once within the next 10 minutes, the creature can roll the die and add the number rolled to one ability check, Attack roll, or saving throw it makes. The creature can wait until after it rolls The D20 before deciding to use the Bardic Inspiration die, but must decide before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails. Once the Bardic Inspiration die is rolled, it is lost.)

Cyanwrath lets out a fiendish chuckle and says, "Good! I am sure you will not disappoint!" He squares his stance and salutes Travis before leaping at him with a slash of his sword.
Inglenook backs away a couple of steps as the dragonborn comes into view. On hearing its challenge he looks to others to see their reactions and whether they are looking like they want to join in.
Travis accepts the challenge so the gnome slowly lowers his crossbow. After a short pause he turns to the others, "shall I build a fire and start popping some corn?"
Thaddeus edges over towards Inglenook and leans down to whisper to the gnome. “Keep your eyes open. I don’t trust any of these bandits with playing fair. If anyone interferes we should be ready to jump in.”

Having stepped up to the plate, Travis was surprised at how fast the first incoming strike came. But it was a clumsy one. He moved just a bit, not needing to employ his shield, and the dragonborn warrior stumbled with the clumsiness of its strike. Travis saw an opportunity and struck.
Then, with a quick and easy grace he'd not shown before, he swung again, trying to draw dragonborn blood with a hard backhanded slash of his sword.
Use Riposte - on a miss, can attack with reaction, using d8 Combat Superiority die, adding to the damage on a hit. Then use regular attack for the round.

“Nicely done Travis!” The professor bellows out like a drill sergeant. “Watch out for his Counter attack, don’t overextend!”
He slings the crossbow over his shoulder and retrieves his textbook and pen. Scribbling notes as the fight gets underway.
Thaddues, Escobert and Cale make a very good point. "Ok then. Maybe it's time to test out my newest creation?"
He hefts a smoothish metallic sphere from his backpack which would have taken up a good amount of storage space and drops it at his feet with a dull clunk. With his knuckles he knocks a short rhythmic beat onto the surface, and when the clanging stops a green arcane energy shines through the cracks as it uncurls itself. Within seconds, four feet and a recognisable head of a feline looks up at Inglenook before bowing down in a long stretch. A quick shake of it's limbs and the catlike contraption sits down patiently.
"This is Scratch, everyone" He says to anyone listening, as he strokes the cold steel of the cats spine. "He's my newest creation and could come in handy in a scuffle. He's named partly because that's what cats love to do, but mainly because I made him from scratch. He he." He chuckles to himself.
"And don't worry, he know's who my friends are." And beams proudly as he watches the fight in front of him.

Investigation - 15
Travis glances down at the elbow of his sword arm, where the drake managed to land a blow. He appears unscathed, though. "Huh," he grunts.
"Looks like I am fine," the terse swordsman says. "Maybe we should climb down and see what we can find?"
((OOC: I still had some Temp HP on my character sheet; I think those were still valid, right?))

Cale looks down at the sleeve of his tunic, torn by the drake's claws: "Yeah that was close! What do you see, Trav?"

The professor is game to explore as well. “How steep is that climb? Do we need rope?”
