Cale’s Psionic attacks are too much for the kobolds as the light in their eyes turn a faint purple and they crumple into a heap. The kobolds below screech and start getting up. They both appear injured from their fall off of the ledge. You can see 3 drakes snarling at you from the ledge below as they seem much more concerned with you than the kobolds.
(We are taking a pause from combat in case folks want to strategize how to get down to the chamber below. It is about a 20 foot drop. Alternatively, since the kobolds are dazed and not carrying ranged items, you may make missile attacks on the 2 kobolds and 3 drakes, and then we can roll initiative again.)
Cale turns to his colleagues, kobold blood spattered across his armour. "We can finish them! If we just hurl missiles down at them, stop them alerting anyone!"
He turns to look over the ledge, new blades appearing in his hands ready to throw.
The professor walks carefully towards the edge and looks down. Hearing Cale’s remark he puts his textbook in his backpack and unslings his light crossbow readying it. “Well, we have the high ground so let’s use it. Do these other creatures fly?”
(the professor is ready if the group wants to attack from range but is unsure if anything can fly or climb up to their position).
(Everyone can have a free shot at the monsters down below. Since Wendy Kobold was the only one with wings, it doesn't look like there is an easy way up. I'll take perception rolls if you wanted to see how the kobolds may want to get up to your position)

The professor looks down and decides to take a shot at the flying kobold. He holds the crossbow steady, anchors his feet, and takes a slow breath as he aims.
The crossbow bolt almost splits the kobold in two! Now only one kobold and three drakes remain. There must have been a way for the drakes to climb in and out of this pit in the cavern, but the professor is totally vexed as to how.

Cale's bolt rings true and the kobold stands straight up before collapsing.
Inglenook's bolt goes right into the shoulder of one of the drakes, and it is injured but not out of commission for a moment. Then, Travis' axe whistles as it cleaves into its skull and is now dead.
The two remaining drakes back up to charge; they are trying to leap and reach you on the cavern platform above!
The second drake got more air than its companion, but they are unable to reach you as they scrape the wall with their claws. (Folks may take another shot at them if they like; if the drakes reach you, we will roll initiative ).

Seeing the drakes jump up towards the ledge the professor edges back away nervously. He glances towards the others and see that they are continuing to fight so takes aim with his crossbow again, firing at the closest one.
Travis carefully steps up to the edge, keeping an eye on the jumping drakes as he draws his sword and sets his shield. If one gets close enough, he will take a swing at it.

Although Travis and the professor miss the drakes, Cale's psychic knives draw blood. Angered even more now, the drakes both try and jump up to you again.
