Turvy gets up from his prone position, glances at his sister, then circles around to the side.
Crossbow bolts a limited resource, Jimjar slowly slips foward to get into a better position. Topsy likewise positions herself stealthily.
Thom gets behind a bit of cover, then calls out a challenge in a harsh tongue, which is met by hissing and jeering from the band of goblins.
<I wait for your word, Thom.>, the Prince assures you as his claws click against stone as he pads up to your side.
The lone goblin wearing a chain shirt pulls free a javelin and hurls it at Sarith, screaming encouragement at its fellows. The javelin clatters to the ground, well short.
The goblin leader is wearing a chain shirt, and has a metal shield, where the other goblins have wood and leather shields. The other goblins are all wearing piecemeal leather armor, four of them with shortbows in hand, the other three with shield and scimitar.

Thom would yell out again in goblin after seeing the javelin come towards Sarith:
"Fine. Have it your way, mates"
And he will loose an arrow directly at the goblin who he thinks is the leader with the chain shirt from behind the cover that he found. Is it a big rock or something?
Longbow: 21 Damage: 3
(he would've told the Prince to attack now that the goblins are openly hostile, but if that's too many actions Thom will tell him next time.))
The goblin boss gives a startled yelp as Thom looses an arrow at him, grabbing the arm of one of the scimitar wielding goblins and yanking them into the path of the arrow. They spot Thom and the hulking form of the approaching PrinceDerendil, and what was to be a quick raid on a sleeping party has now become an ambush on the ambushers.
The goblin boss moves to the other side of his pack of underlings, urging them to attack the elf.
The pack of goblins head in that direction, the four with shortbows pulling back and loosing at Sarith, while the three with shield and scimitar advance and take a defensive stance (dodging).
Two of the first three arrows hit Sarith, the drow dropping under the onslaught. Seeing him crumple and Galingal having not emerged from hiding, the last turns and sends an arrow into PrinceDerendil.
<Well, SOMEONE stole my dagger, and I didn't make a big deal about it, but NOW would be a good time to have had something to be able to fight with!>, Buppido laments.
((The closest 'melee goblin' is 20 ft from Galingal, the other two are 30 ft. The 'archer goblins' are 40-45 ft away, along with the boss. Galingal can see the outline of Derendil silhouetted against the glowing moss where the party is, and sees some darkened footsteps leading to a boulder, but isn't able to make out Thom behind it from this distance. Those of you in the party, the goblins are no longer visible to those with 60 ft darkvision, you can see the Prince, and he seems to be able to see them, so they are likely just beyond that. Pursuing them would mean leaving what cover your current position affords, the cavern is relatively open.))
Galingal hesitates for a moment when the Goblins unleash the volley of arrows that drop Sarith. The smart thing to do would be to just turn and slip into the dark and continue on without the others. But as he looks at Sarith's fallen form, he realizes that he has come to think of the drow as a comrade and he deserves better than this.
Spotting the leader of the goblins, Galingal shifts his thinking to dropping him and hoping chaos ensues.
He raises a hand, sights a finger at the Goblin Boss, and says "Ghidează acest șurub."
A flash of light leaps out of his hand and races at the Goblin Boss.
But realizing he can't deal with the other seven on his own, Galingal turns and makes his way back down the tunnel (moving 30' away from the Goblin party).
((Good thing you crit, the damage for the first rolls was awful!))
The goblin leader, having just pulled one of his underlings into harms way, isn't able to act fast enough to interpose one against Galingal's radiant strike, and he's lit up in (color?) light.
Galingal then retreats down the tunnel.
Those of the party still in the bed of moss see a flash of light illuminate a figure in the distance momentarily before streaking to and hitting the goblin leader, lighting him up and making him a visible target even from your current position. It's hard tell who, but someone is out there fighting the goblins too, perhaps it's Sarith and Galingal? It might have been the shadow elf.
((When I checked this on my phone, I was going to remind you that you had advantage.... :D He was just within range of your hunter's mark, and is still lit up for advantage on whoever manages to hit him first. ))
Eldeth rolls to her feet and straps her shield to her arm, moving up almost to where Derendil is.
She thinks back to Lia and Thom (Stena being out of her range), <Aye, goblins... I can see four of--- .......................... The prince says there's eight.>
Lia gets up from prone (15ft) and moves forward (15ft) meaning that the glowing goblin boss is still 5ft beyond her darkvision. Is that right? (And no other goblins are visible at this range, yet The Prince says there are 8…?).
Ok, so based on that, Lia will call out “Come out come out wherever you are!!…”, and cast faerie fire((DEX save DC13 or advantage on attacks against them, and glowing!)).
Since she knows all the goblins must be beyond the glowing boss, ((if she can)) she’ll cast the corner of the 20ft cube as far out as she can (5ft from the boss, 60ft from her) and have the cube continue on almost like a kind of cone (on the diagonal like a 3D diamond if possible) out towards the boss and beyond. Hitting as many goblins as she can (and any gravel and objects in that space too!)! ((Maybe hitting the boss, all the archers, and the two back most melee ones?? Maybe the other melee ones too?!))
Then she’ll use her bonus action to call to Thom, “Yeah! You tell ‘em, Thom!!…”, giving him Bardic Inspiration!
((Can she also drop prone again (for free??), to duck away from any stray arrows? imposing disadvantage on any ranged attacks against her?)).
((Bardic Inspitation (+d6) is with: Thom ))
Bardic Inspiration:
Within 10 minutes, you can addd6 to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. It can be added after seeing the roll, but before knowing the outcome.
Alternatively, you can addd6 to the damage or healing done by a spell.
The goblin leader and two of the shield and scimitar goblins are lit up by Lia's magic, the three archers she managed to target shaking off the sparkles. Lia then drops flat, darkening the moss she lands on.
Jimjar slips forward, Turvy and Topsy are still out of sight.
((Thom, you're 80 ft from the boss, and 95ft from the other two that are lit up. There are three archers who are silhouetted enough against them to be able to make an attack, but you don't have the advantage that is conferred to the lit up ones.))
Thom peeks out from his cover, now seeing the goblin leader and two of the shield/scimitar ones quite well because of Lia's magic.
Thom hears Lia and he responds "Right madam!"
Thom will use his newly acquired action surge and take 2 shots at the goblin leader. If he sees that the leader goes down on the first shot, he'll attack one of the lit up scimitar ones.
Longbow shot 1: 22 Damage: 7
Longbow shot 2: 19 Damage: 10
Bardic inspiration -> Thom is saving it for now.
He will then lean back behind the rock (not hiding but hopefully getting some cover?) and yell out to the Prince "Rush them Prince! We have to save Sarith! He's our only hope out of here and for you to return to your people!"
Thom peeps out and looses at the goblin leader, who has a moment to regret wasting his effort to pull one of his underlings into the path of an arrow already as Thom sends the first arrow into him. Then he has no more time for any regrets as the second arrow finds its home in his flesh, and he falls with a startled, strangled cry.
Derendil snarls and charges forward, leaping and snarling into the midst of the lit up area, but he had to sprint to catch up, and isn't able to attack any of them.
Their boss down, and getting attacked from both sides, including the arrival of an angry quaggoth sends the goblins nimbly fleeing and shrieking farther from the party.
The goblins flee, up the passage, past Sarith's body, to where the tunnel begins to converge, putting them in closer and closer proximity to Galingal.
The trio of gabbering goblins with scimitars and shields are all within 5-10 ft of Galingal, and the archers 10-15, though they all seem to be glancing past him, the cleric's insight suggesting that if he were to stand aside, they'd flee into the dark. However, now that they are up close, he notices their clothes, armor, weapons and packs. They are not a band of escaped slaves, but a potentially well provisioned party...
Galingal stays to the side of the tunnel, not drawing attention to himself. Taking down the leader worked but while they’re on the run, there are still seven of them.
But as they come closer, he sees their equipment. That could make the difference between surviving down here or not.
Maybe he can take one and the rest will keep going.
As the goblins pass, Galingal will wait. When the last one passes he will attack that one.
Ready Attack: 18 Damage: 6 (with advantage of the last one is lit up with the faerie fire - adv roll: 20
Stena will move forward and target a goblin she can see, if it is in range she'll shift her mark to it. She has a preference on getting one of the archers, but will take whatever she can.
Attack: 17 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
((With advantage if it is one of the fairy fired))
((OOC: lol every time the boss pulled one of the others in the way of a bolt, were they getting damaged instead?! Ha that’s hilarious! So some of these must be looking pretty rough as they run by right? Nice))
Did The Prince get close enough to any of the goblins to get an attack of opportunity or anything as they fled?))
Galingal stands to the side, but sees an arrow strike off the armor of one of the goblins spinning and splintering against the cave wall. ((The archers are the ones trailing, so they would be likely to pass you last, but they are not lit up.))
Stena, they are pushing the edge of your longbow range, so were far beyond your hunter's mark, but you can see one of the glowing figures react to your shot, but it doesn't go down.
Eldeth hurries forward, no hope of catching up to the goblins... well, other than the dead leader, as she does catch up to him.
((Lia, you can just make out Eldeth at the edge of your darkvision, the Prince is past her, you can only see him because he's softly silhouetted by the area you lit up. The closest glowing goblin is more than twice as far away, so 120+ ft.))
