"If there truly are no dangers we should be fine to take her with us," Pardot says, taking a deep breath and then looking closely ((28)) at the dwarf. He then thinks about the stretcher and adds, "And given enough water I could shape and maintain an ice cart for us to pull her along on."
Triäsa gives Ludolf a quick glance as he grumbles, then grins slightly at Pardot. "While that sounds like an interesting use of arcane magics Pardot, I think the stretcher may suffice here."
Bookwyrm nods at your plan. He goes out to the hallway and grabs one of the Avowed, a halfling, from the Hearth. The mostly sober halfling r agrees to escort you back through the Emerald Door and to Fistandia's chambers. Despite your time spent in the Inner Ward you always find it impossible to get to Fistandia's quarters without and escort. The dragonborn then goes to his desk and quickly scribbles a note, rolls it up and seals it. "Give this to the ones looking over Fistandia. They will give some of the sedative and a stretcher. Be careful with her... I worry her well being is critical to solving whatever is going on."
He will then hand one of you the strange book as you head out.
Quickly the halfling stumbles back to Exaltation and starts making his way through the hallways. You trip is rather uneventful and eventually your reach the hallway with Fistandia's room. You pass Matreous on your way to her room. He narrows his eyes and turns his nose up at Triäsa and Ludolf as you pass by.
Fistandia is resting peacefully in her bed. There is a half-orc avowed sitting near the door and an elf who is reading over pages of notes. Both look up as you enter. "Um yes, glad to see you back have you come to visit our patient. I am afraid nothing has changed."
(I assume you have each spent sometime checking and visiting Fistandia during downtime. You would recognize the elf as Carric who is in charge of her care and well being. The half orc is a new addition since the discovery of the intellect devourers. He doesn't say much. His name you think is Thokk.... though he might have just been grunting when you asked him...)

Unless anyone else takes the book Ludolf will accept it and quickly put it away in his shoulderbag, making sure no one is seduced by it's offers.
"Your insightful comments have always been much appreciated Klin." Ludolf grumbles, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
After getting his gear from his room in the mansion Ludolf joins the others in Fistandia's room. He is very focused on planning out the mission in his mind, not even noticing Matreous as he passes him. As he enters Fistandia's chamber he nods at Carric and Thokk. "We are here for more than a visit actually."He starts, looking around the room, waiting for the halfling to give Carric the note Bookwyrm scribbled. "We are here to collect Fistandia to bring her on our new mission, hopefully finding a cure for her ailment."He continues. "We would need a stretcher to bring her with us though." He says, again looking around the room to see if one is available.
Even though he was told it might not be needed, Pardot very quickly ducks off on their way and, along will filling up his own water skin, quickly uses enough water to create a sled made from ice that he has put the bear pelt he kept for adding padding. Sliding it into Fistandia’s room he says, “Once we get the stretcher put it on this. It will make transporting her much easier in most cases, especially for us short folk where carrying things with others is tough. And if we arrive in a forest or mountain or something we can always just pick her up and leave it.”
Triäsa stops off at her room as Ludolf stops at his. She quickly grabs her pack then is ready to. She proceeds with the others to Fistandia's room and looking to Carric as Ludolf hands him the note from Bookwyrm. "We will need to know what treatments you have been giving to her so we can continue them while we are gone. I believe Bookwyrm explained in his note," she adds.
Carric looks over your note carefully, his expression becomes very serious, "Well I hope you have better luck than we are having. Some divine intervention seems necessary at this point..." As his voice trails off he heads over to a nearby cabinet and takes 10 small vials of a milky white fluid. "This concoction is made from a rare plant, the O'pium found in Chult. One vial under the tongue twice a day will keep her calm." He places the vials in a soft, purple pouch and hands it you. Then he gets on his hands and knees and pulls a simple stretcher out from under the bed and shrugs, "This is how we get her around. Thankfully, she is not very heavy." The stretcher is nothing more than two long wooden poles held together by a blue cloth with the crest of Candlekeep embroidered on either side. It will take two of you to carry the stretcher. "Now make sure you take good care of her. Besides the medicine she needs to be rolled every 8 hours to prevent bed sore. Try to massage her legs as much as you can prevent blood clots. Oh! Food! Glad I didn't forget that!" He get two very large jars of thick brown semi solid oatmeal appearing substance. "She needs three big spoonfuls three times a day for nutrition. I know sit doesn't look great but full of protein and vitamins and nutrients. Better if you don't know what is in it..."

Ludolf listens attentively to the instructions from Carric, hoping the team will be able to take care of Fistandia properly while on this new mission. Standing ready to open the portal once more he motions for Daventry to help him to carefully move Fistandia over to the stretcher. "Any idea on how we bring those jars with us?" He grumbles.
Daventry nods. "Into the bag they go!" She removes Thavol's bag from the black leather cover, opening it up wide enough to store the jars of food, each of which she sets into the bag. Looking over the vials, she thinks a moment, then reaches her hand into the bag and whispers "bandolier" and "linens," both of which she pulls from the bag in sequence. She slots the vials into the bandolier, then wraps the entire thing in the linens before placing it back into the bag of holding.
Triäsa smiles as she sees Daventry take care of the problem of how transport everything. "Well, then let's go. Pardot? Klin? Do you two need anything else?" She the turns to look at the stretcher and Fistandia. "Oh, and I guess we need to decide who's carrying that. I suppose I can get one side."
"I'm good to go."Pardot says, then looking to the food jars says, "I think I can just squeeze one of my berries into juice into her mouth for nutrition."He then helps direct her onto the stretcher and onto the sled.
Carric looks at the lot of you and quickly packs his small black leather bag. "Well you have my medicine, food and patient I suppose a nap is in order. Send someone around when you get back so I can examine her straight away." He then hurries out the room and down the strange hallway. Thokk grunts and leaves as well.
If Bookwyrm is correct you need just look into the mirror of the book and state what you wish to change and the portal should open. Of course if there is anything else you'd like to do feel free.

Triäsa looks over at Ludolf. "Well, you snatched up the book, so are you going to look into it? Or hold it up and I'll do it. I think we're all ready to go."
"Just be careful what you wish for Triäsa."Ludolf grumbles and holds up the book to the young half-elven bard, a bit reluctantly, seemingly considering to use it himself.

(Could Ludolf somehow go and get his gear at his room?)
Yes not an issue. It would be on the way to Fistandia's. You would not run into any trouble doing so.
