No valiant adventures to be told? No heroic deeds have been done? He admires the Tieflings skill with the blade and takes mental note to not find himself at the wrong end. I am not much for fighting myself. Stories and fables are my game. Wandering the world regaling folk with tales. Until that is, I encountered a monster. A tall shadowy figure speaking almost spiritually. He muttered something, a language I had not heard. A bright blue flash, and a loud screeching sound. When I awoke I had these weird magical powers. He creates a small magical being in his hand. A weird little creature dancing around. As he turns over his hand the creature disappears.

Well you don't get by for long on a ship full of men unless you're strong.
she takes a slow short drink.
and then when I went to store for supplies i watched in the distance as some great leviathan swallowed my ship whole. So i stayed on land. For now. That thing must be destroyed or the seas will never be safe.
BUT! That's enough about me, magic man. What about you?
He raises his ale. To your ship and all those who brave the seas, what ever reasons their reasons may be. He takes a large drink of his ale. Me, I seek answers and stories. I have almost no control over this magic and no idea how it works. I am hoping to find a place to practice and learn. Maybe I can figure out how it works. Starting to think this arena down there may be the place to start.

Eider smiles as Og makes his offer and Mazara accepts. "The more the merrier, just eh, be prepared to have some healing spells ready. You don't learn to defend magic without a few wounds along the way after all." Eider pulls his chair back and stands to head to the arena "After this fight is over (The level 10 fight) I'll be more than happy to banish this spirit from your weapon. If you will excuse me though I must go see who my next opponent will be."

Gell accepts the lowered prices without complaint, and pays in full for any feed and stabling to last at least the year for Richard the Warhorse. Before stabling, however, he takes him to the outskirts to start getting Richard comfortable with riding in complete darkness.
(I assume while riding it in Darkness in darkness I move at 1/2 speed?)
(Second question, any possibility of imbuing Sir Richard with the ability to see through Gell's brand of Darkness?)

In the darkness those without such features can see poorly, making out the shape and scale of terrain, objects, and even identifying friends and foes without trouble. However, anything hidden with any degree of care will certainly be overlooked and it is difficult to fight effectively.
You don't suffer any movement penalty; you don't need to feel the walls to find your way around, but any check relying on sight will automatically fail.
(To address the last question, True Seeing is a 6th level spell.)
A Warhorse is Large and will have to squeeze through narrow passages in many situations, which will half its speed and grant advantage on any attacks made against it in those situations.
Valnen, do you use any dangerous magic, or are you a conjurer of tricks?
she will use thaumaturgy to recreate the leviathan attacking her old crew and ship with her hands and a bit of smoke,(literally coming up from the bar about 8 cm wide circle and an open mouth, compared to a 3 cm ship.) as the head hits down around the ship and dissipates in all directions and disappears.
Or perhaps a holy man?
she looks up at you as if in prayer, and you can now see she had also changed the color of her eyes to a plain white, light gently emitting from them. Blinks, and back to normal.
Bill moves to the middle of the glory. He pulls out his violin and prepares it, also asking for tips, then plays a mighty song. Instead of horrid screeching, though, it almost sounds harmonious, and is completed by an invisible chorus from his fairy.
