What you can recall about the Sea Princes at the moment can be summed up as:
Decades ago, the pirates who prowled the waters off Saltmarsh grew strong enough to create their own realm, a loose confederacy known as the Hold of the Sea Princes. With the rise of that nation came increased raids on Saltmarsh and its neighbors.
Though light on facts, you manage to embellish and polish the tale enough to make it an interesting one. As one of the barmaids comes by to replace empty mugs and glasses with full ones, she overhears your yarn and adds:
The Sea Princes’ raiding ships pillaged the coast for more slaves to support their growing realm, and Saltmarsh suffered heavily. The memories of those times loom heavily over the area, and the locals’ hatred of the Sea Princes runs deep.
Ariana is sick of stew and orders the catch of the day. To drink, she orders an ale on top of the one Kulogall bought her. She also orders two bread loafs, sharing one of them with Wesley and keeping the other in a pocket for later. She eats hastily and lacks social graces while eating, butter sauce all over her chin and bread crumbs all over her dress. By now, too, the party has seen that Ariana doesn't simply wear the sundress but tight, athletic clothes underneath.
She can be seen nodding along when the party discusses what they heard and next steps.
At some point, she asks Kulogall what the sleeping plans are. Are they all sharing a room? Are they sleeping in the common room? When he tells her that he's pairing up with Elwyn in a private room, she figures she'll ask Ruby to do the same.
Given a moment with Ruby, Ariana says, "Looks like the others have paired off for rooms. Shall we as well?"
When Mia comes around, Kulogall says to her "Mia, I would like the seared scallops and a mug of a good ale, if you please. Also, dinner for our table and the drinks are on me. Please bring the tab to me when we are done. Thanks." Kulogall puts his hands up when everyone protests, "Look, I'm sorry that I had to unload on all of you. I appreciate your kindness and concern. I felt that... you needed to know. And as I hear from your comments, I think this is all linked together. I heard walking through the tavern someone mentioned an Eilander putting together a search party... perhaps for that missing girl..." He stands for a moment, puts his fist over his heart, thumping it and says "We are in this together! I will bleed for you and protect you all if I can. I thank you for your pledge to help me with my brother. Perhaps we can help each other, and this town, and get to the bottom of some of these mysteries."
He pauses for a moment, looking around for Ruby who must have gone to the bathroom, then sitting down, he says "Ruby Ruby Ru, where are you? We've got some work to do now...."

All - The night winds on and your empty plates and mugs are cleared away. Before she departs with arms full of dishes, Mia looks over to Elwyn and says, "Should I make some room for you to perform sir? We don't have a stage but I can clear an area for you to stand or set a chair out for you."
Elwyn - Please make a Performance check to see how well you do tonight.
If the result is 15 - 20+ you earn 4gp, 19sp, and 39cp in tips.
"Sounds good Kulogall, I think I can be of help digging around for more information if that is needed, however I do have an audience to attend to first." Elwyn says as he finishes his meal and wine and grabs his lute and starts tuning it.
"Yes please do Mia, I will be with you in a moment." He says to the waitress. Soon after he enters whatever 'stage' she has prepared for him. "Good evening good folks of Saltmarsh." He says loud enough to get peoples attention. "The name is Elwyn. Me and my crew has travelled all the way from Waterdeep to be with you tonight. I thought I could share some songs and some stories with you and I'd like to start with a favourite of mine, The ballad of Lord Blarglutton." And then Elwyn goes on to play and sing a piece of his own creation really, telling the story of when he visited Lord Blarglutton in Baldur's gate, romanced the lords lovely daughter and, as it turned out, deeply offended the lord with his satiric ballads, leaving the pompous lord furious. He goes on switching between more ballads and tale-telling, telling of the crews adventures up north, greatly embellished and exaggareated, and particularly the adventures of their friend Daveth who will be famous over night, ending the performance with the song he already wrote for brave Daveth.
"There once was a young man from Amphail who one day set out on his own trail but a lass in a pool made of him a fool though being a hero he won't fail"
"There once was a young man from Amphail who waylaid by crooks was on his trail our hero so brave a mule tried to save but his reward made him whimper and wail."
"There once was a young man from Amphail who was sold a mushroom on his trail the price it was steep he turned to a sheep last seen in the forest was his tail."
Performance using inspiration for an important good first impression in Saltmarsh: 25
Ruby would sit in a corner of the room and listen to Elwyn´s performance. It makes her smile, seeing other people do somethig that they´re passionate about. She wonders if she can ever find that something. Her thoughts get cut short once she hears the story about Daveth, which almost makes her laugh. Poor man didn´t have much luck since they met him. After he finishes she claps and cheers. "That was really good Elwyn! I really enjoyed that."
Elwyn - You give the Wicker Goat a show they'll be talking about for years to come. Your Ballad of Lord Blarglutton and telling of the Deeds of Daveth the Daring moves the audience through the full spectrum of emotions; they laugh, they cry, they cheer. The revelry continues late into the night until after more encores than you can could count, you finally collapse into a chair exhausted and tipsy. Lankus begins to clear everyone out and most stop by to thank you and complement you on your performance on their way out. Once the room is cleared and the yawning barmaids begin cleaning up, Lankus comes over and claps you on the shoulder, "Helluva show friend, you're hired! Free room and board for you and discounted room and board for your crew if you'll play three nights a ten-day."
All - After a ten-day or so of travel and the raucous evening at The Wicker Goat, you're all ready for a real bed and a night of rest. The barmaids prepare hot baths for those who want them before they themselves head for bed. The rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable. You find two beds with footlockers per room along with a small table and a pair of chairs near the window. There are small nightstands with fresh candles on them next to each bed as well. You all sleep well and awaken feeling well-rested in the morning. With lodging secured, the day is yours to do as you wish.
Wake sips on water as he watches and is in awe of his friend’s performance. While he was sobering up during the set(s), he couldn’t help but shed a tear or two. Having heard the ballad of Daveth before, he was the first to begin clapping and rose in standing ovation.
Ariana will wake early and practice martial forms in her room. She sneaks down to the tavern to order two sweet rolls for breakfast, sharing one with Wesley. She then sneaks back to the room and waits for Ruby to wake and get ready so they can walk down to the tavern together to meet with or wait for the others.
Stealth to ensure she doesn't wake Ruby 8
When the party is gathered, she says, "Well, shall we go meet Copperlocks?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Well thank you for that Lankus, consider it a deal." Elwyn says smiling widely, a bit sweaty after the performance. He thanks Ruby and Wake for their appreciation, grabs a beer by the bar and stands outside the tavern in the moonlight for a while, cooling off, feeling good about his performance. He then stays up late, listening in on the rumormill. Perception if needed to pick up more rumors: 22
He sleeps well, dreaming of fantastic adventures and fabulous treasures, and then the trackless sea, enormous tentacles rising from it...
He gets down a bit late to breakfast, eating fast to catch up. "Yes Copperlocks, sounds good Ariana, what do you say Kulogall?"
Milk, kav (coffee), tea, hair 'o the dog (shot of rum), and water.
A young woman named Lara takes your orders and serves your food. She bears a strong resemblance to Mia and you aren't surprised when she refers to Lankus as father. Lara makes sure you all have everything you need to enjoy your breakfast and before she leaves you to it, she asks, "Is there anything else I can get for you all?"
After Ruby wakes up she will come down with Ariana and sit at the table with the rest of the party to have some breakfast. She will order the sweet rolls and a kav to wake herself up. "Copperlocks.. she was supposed to have some work for us right? Sounds good to me." She says between small bites. "Unless you want to check out that inn I mentioned yesterday?" She asks Kulogall.
As it was a late night for Elwyn he needs a big breakfast consisiting of a full kettle of kav, lots of bacon, two fried eggs, a bowl of fried potatoes, three waffles, two toasts, two pork sausages, and finally a shot of hair 'o the dog, before being ready to set out on any adventure the others chooses.
Kulogall is amazed as well by Elwyn’s performance. At that point in the night he’s had a few too many, stands up at the end holding his hands up in the air and shouting “Free the bird, free the bird, yeah!” This gets a him a few odd looks. He retreats upstairs to bed, exhilarated and exhausted.
In the morning after coming down, Kulogall nods to Ariana’s and Elwyn’s suggestion. “That’s right. That’s who we should talk to next.” He looks up to Lara and asks, “Have you heard of someone named Copperlocks? We were supposed to contact them when we got in town, having some work for us, do you know them, where we could find them?”

All - Lara replies to Kulogall as she straightens and polishes the bottles behind the bar, "Manistrad Copperlocks? She was here last night, as she usually is. During the day she's either up at the mine or over at the Mining Company Headquarters. It's the blue roofed building at the foot of the cliffs behind the Wicker Goat. Take a left out the door, another left at the intersection and follow the road as it curves around. The headquarters'll be on your left, there's a sign out front." She finishes giving you all directions and hefts a crate of empty bottles from beneath the bar, "Didn't take you all for miners, but I guess you can't judge a oyster by its shell. Anyway, take care." With that she carries the crate into the kitchen area behind the bar.
Ariana scarfs down her eggs, sausage, and sweet roll. She stands and says, "Let's go."She chugs the rest of her kav standing, sets the mug hard on the table, and wipes her arm across her mouth.
All - You find the Mining Company Headquarters easily enough. The curving road from the Wicker Goat leads you right to it and offers a great view of the coastline along the way. The sky is overcast this morning and a stiff breeze blows spray from the choppy seas into your face. You see a good number of fishing vessels and larger trading vessels out in water already this morning. As you approach the headquarters a copper-haired dwarven woman exits the building at a brisk pace. She walks over to a mule and begins loading and adjusting its packs when another dwarven woman also exits the building, "Miss Copperlocks? The invoices for the supplies... You left them on your desk." Manistrad is literally growling as she marches back up the steps and snatches the documents from the aide. She's grumbling something about "...bean counters..." and stuffing the invoices into a saddle bag when you approach.
