"Oh, it's a fight, then? I'll kick your head off with my bad foot! I'll feed Gorog tortle soup tomorrow! And don't think I've forgotten you, half-orc!"
Withertoe dashes forward lopsidedly: thump-thump-thump! He's clotheslined by the noose, but just barely keeps his feet. (Dex save 12) The hobgoblin is restrained.

"AAIIYYEEEEEEE!" Darksniffer screeches from his perch. He leaps from the branch, rope looped around his waist, letting his weight tighten the hold around the taskmaster's throat. "Kill! Stab! You no tell big boss!"
(Initiative: 20. Don't remember if I rolled this before :P move action will be taken to leap from the tree. Just in case it's needed, Action will be for Acrobatics to avoid turning into a dead-weight and hitting the ground 9)

The rope tightens — not enough to strangle Withertoe, but enough to make escape significantly more difficult. Spittle flies from his lips as he roars incoherently.
The DC for Withertoe to escape is now 20. Darksniffer managed fine without using his action — he can make an unarmed attack to kick Withertoe, if he'd like.
Don't worry about initiative for now — I'm doing all party members concurrently, then your enemies. If anybody has a good way to handle features that give initiative bonuses or advantage in a concurrent system, let me know!

"No stab, pull! Turtle-man need pull, hang bossman!" Darksniffer's weight is enough to put pressure on Withertoe, but it is far from the results needed. Kicking back, Darksniffer swings to kick at Withertoe's knees
(13 if it's DEX add 3, if STR add 0. I'm not even sure how to roll this lol. 1 damage?)

Sorry for the delay - I work graveyards so I'm more active at night.
Yahg, during all this, had gotten turned around in the darkness - despite his Darkvision. He had taken cover during the explosion, and waited several long seconds to see if anyone was going to start screaming. Instead he heard the clamor of battle; but his newfound, uh... allies? seemed to be holding up on their own.
Yahg poked his head out of the brush and saw the Hobgoblin boss, strung up from a tree. Yahg's primary method of disposal was either his daggers or fire. And of course, using fire in the middle of the woods would probably be a bad idea.
So that's exactly what Yahg did.
[Action: Fire Bolt vs. Withertoe] 9 If hit, 5 fire damage.
[Movement] Strut out of the brush towards Withertoe and the group, as if he was planning this all along.
Between Darksniffer's roping and wrangling, Yahg's tiny, precise laser beam of fire, and Yurk's mighty Yklwa attack, Withertoe expires. As you catch your breath, you can hear shouts from the camp, just a ways upriver. It's a menagerie of monster voices — goblins, hobgoblins and orcs loyal to Gorog must have heard the explosion and the skirmish. You've bought yourself a moment to regroup and to plan your next move, but only a moment.
Quest accepted! Supervisor slain! Take 100 XP each.
Darksniffer drops the rope, unties the corpse, and begins to spool the rope and pack it away, "Quick!" He hisses, "Take body to bushes, strip pockets and weapons. We move fast and quiet. Be like shadow under trees." After spooling and stashing his rope, the goblin smears dirt over his clothes and face, then stuffs the seams of his garments full of moss. Barely visible are a bow on his back (looking like a large, leafy branch), a pair of daggers strapped to his chest, and a straight, narrow scabbard wrapped in leaves and green fabric showing only a hilt with a modest handguard. Waiting near a tree, the goblin looks more like a sentient bush.

Yahg stepped over to the dead Withertoe, beaten and bloody on the ground. "Boss big. Heavy. Yahg just check his pockets." And instead of bothering to hide the corpse he merely searches his pockets, patting his hands over his chest and waist to feel for the telltale lumps of weapons or circles of coin. Perception: 16
Hearing shouts from the River, Yurk drags the body of the Hobgoblin behind the boulder, hoping to obscure it from easy view.
Strength: 7
An additional +2 if it would be an athletics check.
"Make for the path up the canyon, I think..." Yurk suggests, "once we're at the top we can split from the trail and hopefully be harder to track. We need to move quickly."
Withertoe's pockets contain a bubbly metallic potion, but something -- perhaps a morbid curiosity? -- compelled Yahg to take off the heavy metal boot. A terrible smell wafts out, like rotting flesh, and true to his name, gangrene has turned the toes into a black and yellow crust. But inside the boot, tucked into a sock waxy with fungus, Yahg sees a gold piece. Then another! Until somehow, Yahg had pulled 50 GP from the socks in just the moment before Yurk carries the body behind the rock.
Each party member gets 10 GP, and the potion (2 charges) goes into Tomp inventory. No need for a strength check -- Yurk's strong enough to carry the body.
After Yurk dumps the body behind the rock and starts toward the deer path, Og takes a moment to point Tomp at Withertoe. Tomp hisses, baring his teeth. While the mimic's interior certainly seems big enough, he seems neither willing nor able to fit a hobgoblin through his mouth. He'll eat small, relatively clean, willing creatures only, it seems.
The moon begins to set over the far canyon wall. It's a few hours at least until you'll have the cover of dawn. The trail is steep and full of switchbacks. It's rocky, often no more than a path where the grass and brush is a bit thinner, but at least you know it won't dead-end in cliffs. From the canyon's floor, you hear something that makes your blood run cold: The howl of tracking wolves.
Roll an Athletics check to see how well you're handling the hike. You may roll either Strength or Constitution and add your Athletics proficiency if you have it.

Og's pretty far -- he can get there in 2 rounds, dashing. But also, this hobgoblin is pretty bloodied -- he might not last that long.

Woow that was quick, now we need to leave and fast.
"Put the body in the trunk. And let's go, someone is bound to come looking for him." Ash moves, stops then turns. " Where to? who scouts in front? "
