Krull, Rabbit, Edryd, Mau, are all able to make it up. Wolfe, roll one more time for me. You just need to get DC 10 to make it the rest of the way up. (if you don't hit the DC 10, let's hope it's 6-9.....).
You all are damp, wet with urine, rotting animal parts, and whatever else was in there, and have feces and rotten food stains all over you. It's so bad you can't even tell where Edryd's smell ends and your own stench begins. The exception is to this is Rabbit, who continues to perform exceptionally well. She looks at you all in severe disgust, and nearly vomits as she notices some maggots in Edryd's beard and Wolfe's hair (assuming he makes it up).
The other, more pressing problem, is that a couple of you made a lot of noise climbing into the cave. One of the goblin's has heard you - but maybe smelled you is more accurate. They know you are behind the stalagmite.
"Ehhh, come out, come out worms. We know yer behind there. Clever using the shitter, I ain't thought anyone be dumb enough to git up in there. We got yer friend here. He's in a bad way." You can spy around the stalagmites and see that it's a goblin talking but he looks a bit different than the others - leader you'd guess. The other goblins are alert now, weapons drawn. You see some shortbows, at least one javelin thrower, and some scimitars. They look to the leader and he says something, gesturing. It looks like they are spreading out a bit. One of the goblins yips something and the leader says something back angrily... "Aww, now. Do we needs to come and drag you out 'o there, meat?"
To be quite honest, you're surprised they are not attacking already but from what you glanced, that won't last long.
What are you going to do?
(Will resolve Wolfe's situation before anything else)
With a swift whisper and quick gesture Wolfe hexes the goblin chief (Hex, wis or whichever stat is used to oppose intimidation.) and then he responds. (Skip this part if not possible) "No, we will come out of here, of that you can be sure goblin, and when we do you will all die very quickly, seeing how we have two assassins, one holy knight and one goliath with severe anger issues over here. But that could be avoided if you just release the two prisoners you have. Think it over quickly goblin because I don't think Krull here is as inclined to wait with butchering you as I am." Wolfe states grimly. He motions for Krull to growl to make the threat clear. (Help action.)
Intimidation: 24 Rolled with advantage if help action, otherwise go with first roll.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Krull looks at Wolfe pointing the impaling mechanism implying this might goes wrong..but he complies nevertheless and growls with ferocity imitating a bear (intimidation: 4)
[Wolfe, since you need to be able to see the target and you need to fulfill all three components of hex (somatic, material, and audible verbal), you would know that it is likely it would be taken as a sign of aggression. Just a heads up! Let me know if you would like to proceed in the way you wrote, i.e. combat].
As for the hiding, well sure you feel that you blend really well into the stalagmites. They do count as full cover anyways and the goblins know you are there. There are 2 stalagmites, as in the map and only one person would gain full cover behind them.

The goblin considers your words, 1 saying something in goblin that you don't understand.
Continuing in common, it adds, "Easy now, perhaps you care little for your friend here but any movements or attacks will get him impaled. Even if you do as you say, he will be dead. Maybe there is a deal to be made here, after all. What do you think human?"
"Actually it is the dwarf that interests me, where is he? But I'm still listening goblin, what did you have in mind?." Wolfe says calmly, seemingly being in his comfort zone now, negotiating.
“What dwarf? This human. Dwarf somewhere else. Klarg send him some place. Who is Yeemik speaking to? Show yourself.”
“Yeemik should be leader in cave. Klarg not good for us. You kill Klarg and bring his head, you get this human in return. And live. You refuse and this one dies.”
He pulls on the rope manacingly. You hear Sildar groggily, “No...don’t worry about me...don’t,” before Yeemik backhands him and his head flops, seems maybe unconscious or knocked out.
"If you don't even have the dwarf I don't see you have anything really to bargain with there Yeemik. But by all means, tell us where we can find this Klarg and we will consider taking care of your problem for you Yeemik." Wolfe answers.
(OOC: Rope mentioned in post #314 :-)

Here's a map for visuals. There is more blood where Sildar is and that's where the impaling contraption is as well.

While Wolfe addresses the goblins Mau presses his body against the stalagmite and tries to blend in with the darkness (Hide: 27])
(I'm assuming the fuss with rope was not needed.)
Like Mau, Rabbit will try and take cover behind one of the other stalagmites, hunkering down if needed. (Stealth: 18)

(Dm Krull speaks goblin so he ll be able to translate to Wolfe)
"I ain't very good with words Wolfe but if Sildar dies we might not get the reward..not all of it ..we can come to a deal"
"Trust me Krull, just let me handle this." Wolfe quickly whispers to the goliath.
