Cerlinde looks at dyumi, tears in her eyes “I don’t know if we can defeat the rest of these and rescue our friends without help. We could run now- I was thinking maybe our host from the other night would help since his friends are trapped too. Any ideas?”
Zensiro surveys the two corpses and the two spiders in peaceful repose. "Well done, friends! Cerlinde, how much time do we have before these two awaken? Would it be prudent to attempt to bind them? And then what to do with our friends? It looks like the spiders have no route to escape further with the rest of our party, so perhaps we have a moment to think about it. I still have my fey step to reach and surprise one of the spiders. I'm not sure about my chances with the other four, but if you strike with your magic at the same moment, we might be able to take three out before they can react. Probably a long shot, but at least it's an option. What say you?"
“The spell will last a minute- I have some rope here, we can tie their legs together and tie them to each other. Should we do that first? As for the others- I can use my firebolts…If you feel up to it perhaps we can turn this around without help.. “ Cerlinde says, drying her eyes
(Oh damn, sorry I missed that your post went up before mine, @Tesservett! I started it, then got distracted, finished later before refreshing. Zensiro would have acknowledged and responded with a bit more pathos!)
Zensiro mumbles an apologetic assurance and pats Cerlinde awkwardly on the shoulder. Being a Llewyr elf, he's unaccustomed to outward displays of emotion, especially from fellow elves, and is clearly unsure of how to handle the situation. "I'll assist with binding them. Let's be gentle, so as not to awaken these beasts. Dyumi, I'm not sure if we should summon help, which is generally prudent, at the risk of either splitting our party or leaving our friends alone with their tormentors. Another attack is also quite risky. What do you think we should do?"

"I think getting help would be risky, but splitting up might be our best option. One or two of us should go, while the rest of us stay. Also, if we were to seek help, who would we go to?"

"It begs the question of how likely is it that one will encounter danger in seeking help. If we think it's relatively safe passage, I'd say one goes and two stay. With five spiders remaining, I fear any one of us could be easily overwhelmed. As for who is providing the aid, I'm guessing it would be whichever entity the beetles that carried us along reports to. Cerlinde, you've been stuck down here longer than the two of us, is that what you had in mind? We also have the enchanted coin and key, do either of you think they might be of use? The wasps seemed enamoured of them; perhaps we could distract the spiders long enough to retrieve our friends? Do we have any other useful items at our disposal?"
Cerlinde says “let’s try this on our own. But if it doesn’t go well- someone should run and get Amos, he’s the fellow that helped us before. - here’s the map I drew to get back there. If we can get to those that are paralyzed- this magic ointment Amos gave us seems to heal everything- we each have some. It might make them better.”
Cerlinde will help with carefully tying up the spiders, and then says “ I can use my sleep spell again. That might take down one or two. I’ll start shooting fire at them when you all are all ready. ”
"Very well, then. Shall we go with the sleep first, then deal with the rest, or hit as many as we can first and see who's left standing? I'm fine either way. I think for me, I'll use the bow first, then fey step on up there if we need to close on them quickly. However this goes, it has been an honour to fight alongside both of you." While waiting for a response, Zensiro inspects his bow and arrows to make sure everything is in good working order for this crucial phase of the encounter.
The 5 spiders remaining in the webs above you are still intently aware of your presence, and look on with some interest as you seem to produce webbing of your own to bind their comrades.
(Zensiro, please make a DC 8 Survival or Sleight of Hand check, at advantage, to demonstrate your elven boy-scout knot-tying skills.)
Zithers, as you are awake but still paralyzed, you are tormented by an itch on your nose that you are incapable of scratching. Also your toes are beginning to wake up, and are tingling.
Malichi and Amelia are both blissfully unaware that they are sleeping upside-down in soft cocoons, in suspended animation, waiting to be freed, or to become food. What are you dreaming about? Family? Friends? Past conquests, military or romantic? Showing up at rogue school and realizing you forgot to wear pants (trousers)?

Zensiro and Cerlinde apportion some lengths of their ropes to carefully bind the spiders' legs. After lashing everything together, Zensiro carefully goes through the ritual, left over right, right over left, pull it tight.
"Well, that ought to do it. I think before we safely depart this place, having triumphed spectacularly and rescued our friends, we should make sure these critters can escape or be freed."
Even though he seems to move in slow-motion, Nod the Snail manages to break out of his restraints. Not particularly adept at climbing or balancing, he tumbles down through a few layers of silken strands, withdrawing into his shell before he lands on the floor of the chamber. The entire web vibrates from the impact, and seems to be sagging where Nod tore through. Three of the spiders scuttle down to recapture their fleeing meal, while the other two set about repairing the damaged web.

“Sleep first is a good idea. Then focus our attacks on one of those left standing. Let’s try to take one down at a time- better to reduce their numbers than just injure them I think. I agree with letting the spiders free when we’re done. I never kill normal spiders when I was normal size!”!
once everyone is ready, she casts sleep at the spiders 23 hp affected
As the three spiders chase Nod, they are suddenly overwhelmed with exhaustion, and all fall asleep mid-stride, landing on the floor just lightly enough to not wake them.
Zensiro races over to check on Nod. "How are you doing little fellow?" He looks to Dyumi, saying, "Do you think he's okay?" Zensiro will defer to the druid's expertise and offer to help with any required animal handling or medicine checks.

Dyumi has expended all healing abilities, but will still ask Nod if he is ok using Speech of Beast and Leaf.

You do not see any major cracks in his carapace. Nod has completely retreated inside his shell, and the main communication you are receiving is one of fear rather than pain.

Round 2
Zensiro slashes the head off his remaining foe.
S3 chases after Cerlinde clawing at her ( Attack: 5 Damage: 6 piercing + 5 poison (DC 11 CON Save for half damage).
Dyumi manages to score a bite as well as a mouthful of spider fuzz, before the wizard makes the two remaining spiders on your level fall asleep.
Status: S1, S2 dead, S3, S4 asleep. S5-S9 still above you in the web, gazing down at the battle.
Cerlinde looks at dyumi, tears in her eyes “I don’t know if we can defeat the rest of these and rescue our friends without help. We could run now- I was thinking maybe our host from the other night would help since his friends are trapped too. Any ideas?”

(Looks like we posted at the same time... I'm going to have you choose whether you concentrate on the spiders on the ground, or the ones up above)
