"I see. As the squirrel hoards food for the winter long before the first snow falls, you are preparing now for what may one day come, even if we are successful. Though in this case, you hope it is never necessary." Argo stares thoughtfully for just a moment, then bites into his venison. "So what makes a man of such learning, who would write down the details in the midst of a doomed quest, willing to come out into the wilderness and risk all of that for a fool's chance to stop a dragon? Surely you have a home you could be in, warm and comfortable, instead of eating venison given you by a man you do not know and have no reason to trust."
I take my time to take up a very awkward stance, feet close together, my body turned a little to the side. "This looks round about how I've seen people do it. Yeah, this looks good to me, I hope these guys don't laugh at me." I think to myself. I hold the stick with the strongest grip I can and raise my stick over my head for a downward strike and swing. During the strike, I think "Yeah this will be good."
I take some time to help adjust Dro's position in little parts, and explain the strategy behind melee combat. 'So you see, if you have a dagger and your opponent has a sword, it's all about positioning. If you're at arm's length away, they will have the advantage with reach. But if you get right up to them, their reach becomes useless as they can't maneuver their weapon correctly. They can't hit you, and you can hit them.' I look over my friend, nodding. 'You're doing well.'

If you love a character, you give them pain, ruin their lives, make them suffer. Maybe even throw in a heroic death.
(OOG: Hey guys, with permission from Gmoat, I'll be filling in for the guy who hasn't posted in a while. The spoiler contains my completed character sheet.)
Name&Class: Lleephyllen "Leaf" Wood Elf Druid Level 2 (Circle of the Moon)
Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses
You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Fey Ancestry
You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.
Trance
Elves don’t need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is “trance.”) While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
Elf Weapon Training
You have proficiency with the longsword, shortsword, shortbow, and longbow.
Fleet of Foot
Your base walking speed increases to 35 feet.
Mask of the Wild
You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by foliage, heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.
Wild Shape
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your action to magically assume the shape of a beast that you have seen before. You can use this feature twice. You regain expdended uses when you finish a short or long rest. Your druid level determines the beasts you can transofmr into, as shown in the Beast Shapes table. At 2nd level, for example, you can transform into any beast that has a challenge rating of 1/4 or lower that doesn't have a flying or swimming speed.
Equipment: staff, hunting trap, set of buck antlers (trophy), set of traveler's clothes, belt pouch, wooden shield, quarterstaff, leather armor, explorer's pack, druidic focus (small wooden charm with a leaf roughly carved into it).
Background and Characteristics: Trapping Outlander
Feature: Wanderer
You have an excellent memory for maps and geography, and you can always recall the general layout of terrain, settlements, and other features around you. In addition, you can find food and fresh water for yourself and up to five other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water, and so forth.
Personality Traits: I feel far more comfortable around animals than people. I place no stock in wealthy or well-mannered folk; money and manners won't save you from a hungry owlbear.
Ideal: The natural world is more important than all the constructs of civilization.
Bond: I suffer awful visions of a coming disaster and will do anything to prevent it.
Flaw: Violence is my answer to almost any challenge.
Druids of the Circle of the Moon are fierce guardians of the wilds. Their order gathers under the full moon to share news and trade warnings. They haunt the deepest parts of the wilderness, where they might go for weeks on end before crossing paths with another humanoid creature, let alone another druid.
Changeable as the moon, a druid of this circle might prowl as a great cat one night, soar over the treetops as an eagle the next day, and crash through the undergrowth in bear form to drive off a trespassing monster. The wild is in the druid's blood.
Combat Wild Shape
When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain the ability to use Wild Shape on your turn as a bonus action, rather than as an action.
Additionally, while you are transformed by Wild shape, you can use a bonus action to expend one spell slot to regain 1d8 hit points per level of the spell slot expended.
Circle Forms
The rites of your circle grant you the ability to transform into more dangerous animal forms. Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Wild Shape to transform into a beast with a challenge rating as high as 1 (you ignore the Max. CR column of the Beast Shapes table, but must abide by the other limitations there).
One of the elk from the group that the human ranger slayed was not like the others. After scattering with the rest, this elk began following behind the human carrying the corpse from a distance. Eventually the elk came to a stop roughly 150 feet away from the camp -- and in an instant, the elk took shape of a slender wood elf, crouched behind a tree. Leaf carefully walked through the foliage on the ground, moving from tree to tree to use as cover, almost indistinguishable from his surroundings in the darkness. He approached the camp that the human returned to, settling just outside the light from the campfire to observe. His eyes fixed on the one who killed the elk for just a moment, enough to determine that it wasn't for sport. Then the others. They almost seemed familiar, though he had never seen them before. Curiosity was not something that took over him very often, but he felt drawn to these people and had no idea why. For now, he would sit in the dark and observe them, hopeful and confident that no one had spotted his presence.
Okay, Leaf give me a Survival check. (OOG I am going to see how good you are at keeping your presence concealed from the group.)
Everyone else, Perception rolls, please?
(OOG I like the training going on with Brachos and Dro. Give yourselves a point of inspiration.)
