Ulmwin can't help a slight grin, even if he doesn't answer the question straight up. "Oh, I wouldn't call it more dashing, but more imposing perhaps... Depends what look you are trying to go for. And no particular reason!"
As you discuss that various arguments for and against distinguishing scars as cosmetic adornment, your walk back to the tower is uninterrupted by any hidden watchers... at least that you notice.

"Imposing? Aye don't want to be imposing, inspiring aye, but not imposing. Aye mostly just want meh beard back. An meh eyebrows. All meh sweat just runs right into meh eyes."
Dornikal fishes out the necklace to admire it on the way back and give it a proper appraising.
Dornikal thinks it is clear that the necklace is the work of an accomplished silversmith, and while the inset gem is certainly more than an afterthought, and to an inexpert eye would be plenty impressive, he can't help but feel a bit let down by the gem not being as well cut and polished as it could have been. Still, he'd place the value of the piece between two to three hundred gold in the right market.

Dornikal clicks his tongue sadly and starts rummaging mentally through the gems he has that he could replace the gem with in his pouch. A shame to waste such work on such a mediocre gem.
Once back in the tower, Dornikal will head up to greet the resident wizard before being drawn to away to a private, dark room. Sitting in the comforting darkness he’ll consider the necklace a few moments before setting it aside and pulling out all the gems in his possession and setting them up around himself to inspect and consider. He sits several minutes mumbling praises and thanks to Dumathoin as he picks each up in turn and considers them before gently placing them back down.
He goes silent for a moment and his eyes are drawn down to the floor as his mind rolls over the beauty arrayed before him. He finds his hand at his chest, clutching his holy symbol tightly. He takes a deep breath and pulls it from under his rather damaged shirt to help center his focus on his god’s will. Once free, Dornikal blinks at it as he holds it in his palm. He is sure he can see a faint glow in the heart of the gem.
He whispers quietly in dwarven,
“Dumathoin, my Lord?”
The glow intensifies slightly and Dornikal begins to shake with nearly unrestrainable joy.
“I cannot describe my…unspeakable happiness that you’ve come and granted me a glow of your Holy Light. I am humbled that you would consider me worthy.”
He will bow his head to the ground so it is touching the stone, holding the gem before him.
“What would you have of me, Gem of the Mountain?”
A flash of images flow through Dornikal’s mind, his actions in Dumathoin’s name, both spreading his name and defending his creations. He gets and overwhelming sense of satisfaction and that he should CONTINUE.
An image of the emerald in his hand comes to his mind, the emerald changes, becoming a gem of the highest calibre and cut. He sees his own hands cutting the gem, the precision of the cuts, the steadiness of his hands.
Dornikal startles back from his revere after who know how long, feeling the stiffness in his shoulders and forehead from leaning on it. Slowly lifting his head he sees the emerald still contains a small glow, and its essence has been changed to that of his vision. He whispers a hoarse,
“Thank you Dumathoin, I will do all I can to bring devotion and glory to your name.”
With shaking hands he pulls out his tools and, like in his vision, feels his pulse still and hands firm as he begins turning the gem into that of his visions.
When done, he takes the gem, still with a faint glow in its heart, and places back into its pouch with reverence. Standing unsteadily he moves back to gather all the gems he took out and returns them to their pouches before leaving the room to get a drink.
Anyone that looks into his eyes might see the barest glimmer of green light in the blackness of his pupils, but only if they were looking.
Randy spends some time getting accustomed to the bow while giving it a good cleaning. There's something both thrilling and daunting about handling a weapon made from the remains of a dragon.

His indoor explorations come to a halt however, after he draws back the string to test the draw weight, and a black arrow forms with a soft bluish-green glow. As he eases up on the string, the arrow vanishes.

The black arrow forms, and leaps from the bow as Randy looses his shot, arcing to the target where it hits and sizzles for a moment before vanishing. He fires a few more before walking up and inspecting the target.
There is no acidic residue, but the area around the holes left by the impact of his arrows is pocked and pitted.
((Adding it to Randy's sheet.))

((So pretty much the same as Randy's current bow, except acid instead of penetrating damage and doesn't need ammunition. And it looks cool! :D Randy starting to get a bit of an edge lord thing going.))
((The amount of damage seems to be quite a bit greater than his current bow, the pitted acid being additional damage beyond the piercing of the normal ammo. ie, does 1d8 piercing and another 1d8 acid. There are a couple other things that aren't showing up on the time, but are on his sheet if you want to look around. ;P ))

Randy frowns, lightly rubbing the scar on his face. "I'd rather have done without mine."
