The fruitcake hits the big snoman, the snow blasted out coalescing into yet another small one, the fruitcake flying and powdering one of the small ones before flying at the newly formed one.
Attack: 9 Damage: 8
The fruitcake obliterates it and returns to Dimble's outstreched hand.
The big snoman is a gaunt icicle of his former self, and looks at the party in surprise that they are still warm and alive. He sways, clearly struggling to hold his current form.
It shuffles forward, trying to engulf the one who has caused it so much trouble....

Nimble takes a moment to look through the chunks of snow from the larger snoman to see if there was any indication of how this creature was formed or controlled, or if there were any tokens or other equipment present. Investigation: 29.
He sends Comet back forward 100ft in front of the group to scout for additional threats, giving him a small sense of disapproval for missing the signs of the snomen.
Comet Perception: 18.
Turning to the others in the party “Well that was interesting. Is anyone hurt, are we ready to continue forward? We should not delay in the woods long.”
"I don't think I like this place very much. Toymakers and snowmen trying to kill us. Next think you know reindeer will try to trample us" Laala sighs heavily before falling back into the snow on the ground
Xal looks around at the group whilst catching his breath. "Well done everyone", he says to them all, "though we need to tread with more caution going further". He considers for a moment, "I can help us travel more safely when we get closer to our destination".
He spots Nimble through the snow pile, "You find anything?".
Nimble, you find in the pile of slushy snow, a faintly purple shard of ice, as you brush the snow away, you find that it had been pierced through the chest of a Toymaker, their body bound in cloth except for the head, the mouth open in a frozen, rictus scream.

"Yikes!" Ursula jumps back a bit in surprise from the deceased toymaker found within the snow. "I agree with Nimble and Xal, let's get out of these woods!"
Getting out of the woods seems a prudent decision, and you continue onward with no further complilcations. As you step out of the Yule forest, you can see the tower before you. This looming tower of black ice stands as the only remaining symbol of the Noel, an ancient race of Winter Elves. Thomas gave you a brief history, that the Noel came to this land in the tower from another plane of existence, and resided here for a while before departing, leaving the isle under the care of the Winter Father.
The tower stands three hundred feet tall, and has been long abandoned, a massive entryway yawing open at its base.

“Ughh” Nimble groans in disgust as he tries to clean off his hand and wipe away the snow that touched the frozen toymaker. He replies to Xal “It was a toymaker. Dead and reanimated by some means of dark magic. I hope he can find some sort of peace now”
He accompanies the party out of the woods and pauses, staring up at the height of the tower before sending Comet through the opening at the base of the tower. Nimbles’ eyes roll back in his head as he looks through his familiar’s senses and discovers what lies beyond the opening of the tower.
Xal looks upon the tower with curiosity. "We should be careful, and try not to attract too much attention", he says, taking his staff and planting it firmly in the ground with one hand whilst making an intricate gesture with the other. He mutters something in Elvish and the shadows around the group seem to deepen, and sound becomes muffled. "We have an hour, assuming I don't lose my focus on this spell. In that time we cannot be tracked except by magic, and our passing will be obscured. We still need to be careful though, so do your best to be quiet and not be seen", he directs the group.
Inside the looming tower is quiet, the wind howls around the exterior, almost like a self-contained whirlwind, constantly spiraling. As you adjust to the darkness, you realize this floor is a large open space, stretching fifty feet above you, and at least two hundred feet in diameter, with a single set of curving stairs, hugging the back wall, crossing back and forth, leading up. Along the walls are delicate and intricate carvings.
