Krayne even with your darkvision you can only make out the shapes of trees on either side of the wagon as it pushes through a smattering of trees into another open field. You did not understand Baltus' exchange with the other Stokkr villager either!

Ursal you see shapes but nothing beyond that. Even Baltus' lantern hanging on the cart doesn't seem to shed light beyond the horses directly in front of the cart.

Viktor looks bedraggled, the trip has not been kind. As the cart approaches the village, Viktor perks up a little listening to the exchange between the villager and Baltus.

Viktor looks about at the village and surrounding countryside as the cart continues on its way to the Gunnulf's farm.

Reaching the Gunnulf's farmhouse you find a well built house made of timbers and a barn not far away from it. The moon barely shines and you will notice more in the morning you're sure. Baltus wakes Brida as an older woman comes from the farmhouse which is light up from the inside. She waits on the poarch wearing an apron and a stern expression.
"Everyone out," Batlus then says. "We'll figure out sleeping arrangements inside," he adds next as Brida nods sleepily along going towards the older woman who embraces Brida as Baltus leads the horses and wagon to the barn.
OOC: What is everyone doing? I'll except another perception/investigation check but remember you're dight limits in the dark.

Ursal notices that the party is somewhat alone. He watches Brida and Baltus accompany a woman into the farmhouse.
While unloading his gear, he whispers a warning to his colleagues.
"I didn't want to say anything until we were alone from our hosts. I'm from around these parts so I speak a little of the language you may have heard when we passed Stokrr. Baltus told the town watch that we were here to help solve their problem. Let's just say our presence didn't inspire confidence among the town watch. I don't know you all too well yet, but you seem just as capable as I hope I do. Personally, the best revenge for the slight we were dealt by the town watch would be to succeed at our task without fanfare. I'm not in this for fame and fortune, and I get the impression you all aren't either. Still, I don't like being the butt of a joke to which I wasn't privy."
OOC: Perception for future use: 20. [Edit: ouch, I guess the slight hit Ursal more than he let on. He's seething with anger and fails to recognize something.]
Ursal puts his gear away and goes directly to bed wherever he's directed to do so. At first light, before anyone else wakes up, he will storm out of the farmhouse, take up his crossbow and hunt/gather.
"You are right, of course, the glory is nothing, ridding the village of the evil is all that matters, but it is good to know what the locals think nonetheless".
Krayne takes a good look around the farmstead, looking to familiarise himself with the layout and to see if anything seems out of the ordinary.

"We will need to rest too, I think our hosts need rest more, especially the girl, so we should probably try to stay up one at a time and patrol, so nobody falls asleep standing watch"
Viktor looks at the others bleary eyed, you cant be sure just how much he is following the conversation.
"yeah...just kill the monster and be done......I'm...where is...where are we sleeping tonight?"
Viktor staggers off towards the house as Krayne begins to talk of setting another watch for the night. it would seem he is too tired to keep up with you guys.
(OOC: if no one directs Viktor to a place to sleep, I'm ok with finding him, in the morning, asleep in some random part of the farm stead, still in all his cloths and gear, snoring)
Rasmus apologies to the party reaching the Gunnulf's farmhouse and explains he's been foolish to come. He's not the kind of monster hunter he realizes the Gunnulf's need and insists he'll be fine to walk to town for the night before returning to Hagar in the morning.
All of the party unloads from the cart and goes into the house settling into a fine meal that Brida's housekeeper Sybil, she introduces herself, has cooked awaiting your arrival. Although she's an older woman she looks strong and hearty. She's seen hard work most of her life but she's been taken care of too. After tucking into the table everyone begins to eat as Baltus returns from stabling the horses. Viktor seems to be falling asleep in his stew while Brida nods off occasionally too.
"Where's Jolly," Baltus asks Sybil with a frown.
The old woman glaces at Brida before answering Baltus, "Left I'm afraid. He figured without the sheep to sell there wouldn't be any money to pay him with come market day," she explained next as Baltus grimaces.
"Show's him right," Baltus gripes into his stew. "I was thinking of catching some of the wild horses near the White Waste," he then says with a sudden confidence. "I bet I could catch a few and break them before market day," he adds before a sudden howling catching the entire room off guard.
Whatever it, it its large and very, very close....
Brida and Baltus both bolts upright from their seats as Sybil gives a small yelp sound.

Ursal drops his spoon into his stew, sloshing it onto the table. Without a word, he runs to grab both his great axe and javelin.
Krayne turns to the sound, pausing for only a moment, he slides the shield from across his back into a more battle ready position, touches his holy symbol at his neck and lets a greater smile play across his face.

Initiative: 14
And just in case I go first and it's truly and evil/undead/not animal creature, here's my combat:
Movement: Move up to 30 feet to be in melee.
Bonus action: Use crimson rite to empower my weapon [yes, there will be some explaining to do afterwards but need to use magic most likely]
HP reduced by: 3 due to crimson rite.
Action: Attack with greataxe using great weapon master feat and great weapon fighting style.
To hit roll: Attack: 16 (if I crit, I get bonus attack but not this round, as I used crimson rite as bonus action)
Damage (just in case - I always roll my damage dice, whether or not I hit): 15 (I re-roll 1s and 2s)
Crimson rite damage: 4
I will total it once rolls are complete with an [edit remark].
Total: 19 points magical damage (looks like I rolled max damage!)

Think like this but without any white
Viktor will then attempt to become hidden before going outside
if the exhaustion is still to much to overcome: Stealth (with disadvantage): 8
else
