Aurora laughs. "Too busy staring at me to see your friend Ambre win the race? You're so sweet,"She says teasingly, patting Aelyn on the cheek. "And I'm not sure what you've got against pests, they're quite cute. Witherbloom wouldn't pick them as a mascot if they weren't!"
Larine smiles at Arvol and Ambre. "Oh, thank you, you're both so nice... I guess Azul just wanted to go their own way, right? Forge their own path!"She giggles, seemingly less ashamed than before. She lifts Azul up to her face again, looking at him with pride. "You're so brave!"
Suddenly, Azul belches right in Larine's face. In fact, Rampart's frog, Alacritous, and Croakula are also belching. Almost rhythmically. As they do so, their eyes grow a bright crimson color. Larine drops Azul reflexively, and as the frog hits the floor, it seems to grow in size - as do the other frogs! The surrounding students panic and try to flee the scene as the four docile, bright frogs just a moment ago have now transformed into large, raging beasts. They tear apart their costumes and shift their glowing red eyes on all of you - it looks like you're next!
"Oh, well then they're lovely..." Aelyn says as the belching commences. "Stand back Aurora!"Aelyn says to the dhampir, making his way towards Arvol, playing a short lullaby on his lute using his fey sophoric magic to, hiopefully, take care of Alacritous. (Sleep 27 ) "Arvol, you go left and I go right, we take them down together:" He shouts to his friend, (Bardic inspiration) his rapier appearing in his hand.
"What? What's happening?" Aithne struggled to hold her position in the tide of the fleeing students. She hadn't realized that anything was wrong until the screaming started and the frogs had grown ten times their previous size! She ducked over to a nearby table and climbed onto a chair, both so she could get a better view of the creatures menacing her friends and also so that she wouldn't be swept away by the rest of the panicked spectators. Holding out a hand to focus her magic on the blue frog, she spoke the spell word and sent the magic winging toward her target.

The giant frog winces in pain as Aithne's spell racks its mind with psychic energy, but it isn't enough to put the creature out of commission. It does seem somewhat disoriented, at least!
Klok gasps as his fears that these were not regular frogs comes true. He tries to pacify one of the frogs wondering if it is a Fey....(S)
"Hello Sir Frog. I mean you no harm! What was been done is wrong. Capturing you and making you race for entertainment. Allow me to bring you back to your habitat."
Klok's reassuring words and calming presence seem to have an effect on the frog. It does not seem to be fey or respond to the Sylvan, but the redness in its eyes does fade and it grows more docile. It sticks close to Klok, croaking and squeaking sonorously.
It is now the Frogs' turn!
Azul and the other frog shriek and lash out at Aelyn and Ambre.

Frog bite vs. Ambre: Attack: 22 Damage: 7

The frogs bite down hard on Aelyn and Ambre's legs, drawing blood and gripping them so tight they cannot move. They are both grappled!
Arvol, hearing Aelyn's comment, moves to his left as the two flank the blue frog attacking Aelyn. As he moves he draws his rapier, surging forward to attack. He tries to incapacitate the frog, not kill it.
Aelyn winces as Azul nearly bites his leg off. He drops his rapier and plays a short lullaby on his lute again, trying to send Rampart's frog too into a pleasant slumber. (Sleep: 24 )
Arvol's sneak attack catches Azul completely off-guard! The frog croaks in pain, then wavers and shrinks back to its normal size before vomiting up an inky black substance. It is still alive, but looks very disoriented. Aelyn, now free of Azul's unexpectedly dangerous grasp, plays another brief lullaby, and Rampart's frog drifts off to sleep, releasing Ambre's leg in the process.
All of the frogs have been pacified. After a minute, the large frogs shrink back down to their ordinary size, all of them coughing up the same black substance. The panic dies down as Ellina Tanglewood, the wood elf manager of the Firejolt, arrives. "What in the Founders' names is going on here?!" She exclaims, looking at the mess. "Are you all alright? Those legs look bad. Here, you two, take these."
Ellina offers Aelyn and Ambre each a standard healing potion.
Still wincing, Aelyn slumps down with his mangled leg. "That was one nasty prank someone played us." He says, looking at the others. "You okay Ambre?" "Hey, big brains, that black goo, what could it be?" He says as the frogs shrink down and the black substance is coughed up. He eagerly accepts the potion from Ellina and quickly gulps it down. ( 7 ) "Aaah, thanks Ellina, that's better. Now, who won the race again?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ambre downs the potion, before going to scoop up some of the black slime with the bottle. "Oh I'll be fine," Ambre waves off any concern. "Ive had worse bite. The real questions, one... Is Count Croakula okay?" she laughs a little, standing up to hold the bottled slime to the light. "The second, what exactly is this slime. I love puzzles!"
As the frogs are subdued, shrink, and emit their strange black substance, Arvol quickly sheathes his rapier. Looking back towards the crowd he searched a moment until he spots Aithne, standing on the chair. As it seems Aelyn and Ambre are being tended to, he hurries over towards her. "Are you okay?" he asks with concern. He offers a hand to her to help her step down off the chair. "Nice going with that spell of yours too."
"i'm fine, thanks for asking." Aelyn says with a chuckle seeing Arvol hurry over to Aithne. He then spots Aurora and winces again, in a playful way. "It hurts, it hurts." He says, holding his leg, looking at Aurora, a laugh in his eyes.
