Rolling for attacks described below - Eldritch Blast: Beam 1: Attack: 21 Damage: 6 Beam 2: Attack: 29 Damage: 7 Beam 3: Attack: 22 Damage: 9
Lyra trudges forward 15' feet once more from B28 to B25. This chase is growing tiresome but at least it is minimizing the snowmen's attacks on us.
She sees snowmen 2 and 3 are now unconscious villagers 2 and 3. Snowman 4 is the one that has made its save against Fear and is coming back to attack, and should be visible in B11, 70' away? She wearily raises her arm and harmonica once more and fires off another Eldritch Blast at it. See rolls above.
No bonus or free action. If the Eldritch Blast finishes off #4, she will drop concentration on Fear and let #1 come back. If so, she would shout: "Only one left boys, let's mop it up!"
If #4 is still up after her Eldritch Blast, she will maintain concentration on Fear to try to keep #1 running and thus not a threat for 1 more round. In that case, she would shout: "Hold and finish off the closer one and after that I'll let the further one come back to us. Do not wake the villagers yet, or if you do, tie them up first - otherwise at least one of them will run away."
(Lyra is aware she is getting a little bossy... she's gotta watch that, she thinks. She tries to put as much positive encouragement in her voice as she can).

Kosmos Moves up to #3 and slams him twice with his staff, but slips on the snow, missing the elbow to the snowman's face.
Donlas Lines up a lightning blast at #4. Between the lightning, and Kosmos's attacks, the snowman has nearly all of the snow knocked off of it, but the snow starts to reform almost instantly.
Batter Moves up to the next villager, lifting them up out of the snow in turn.
Jack Frost Takes the dodge action
Lyra Trudging forward again, Lyra sends three blasts at #4, all three hit, taking the snowman down and leaving only an unconscious villager in its place.
Snowmen With fear removed, Snowman #1 turns back and moves towards the group. It throws snowballs at Kosmos... Snowball Ranged Weapon Attack: 13, range 10/60 ft., one target. Hit: 24 bludgeoning plus 1 cold damage. Snowball Ranged Weapon Attack: 10, range 10/60 ft., one target. Hit: 30 bludgeoning plus 9 cold damage.
Donlas steadies himself yet again, knowing now that the villagers will survives the attacks, and fires of another lightning launcher shot at the final snowman
Attack: 27 Damage: 30

((Seeing as how it's presumably a snowstorm, can we search for a cave or something once all the villagers are in tow, or do we need to go back to town?))
Kosmos sends a radiant blast to hit the final snowman, which is injured but not taken down. Donlas's lightning blast though blasts all of the remaining snow off of the snowman and sends another unconscious villager to the ground.
We are out of combat. You have 4 unconscious villagers now. What do you do?

(Gotta wait to hear what everyone else says, but Batair would either look for a cave or take them back to town. A fire for warmth and also healing that he can cast would ensue, but he'd also like them to be restrained in case of any foul magicks. Similarly, he feels duty-bound & oath-sworn to uphold the law...ensuring the returned health and safety of the villagers falls under this purview. He would lightly interrogate them as well with hope of ascertaining more information to aid in his quest.)
Kosmos also knows we need to take care of the villagers and not just leave them. Knowing that healing them doesn't get rid of the madness, does anyone have a remove curse spell or anything of the sort? Also, I'd like to know how far we are from the village after all the running.
The villager you first knocked out, then healed, had looked almost normal as they came awake, smiling and friendly. It was only when they felt the fear pushing them to flee did they run. You would believe that the villagers are not truly mad, maybe a bit snow-sick and previously unable to tell foes from friends, but they seemed much more normal once the snow was gone.
Lyra, panting a bit, catches up with the group. "I agree, we must take them back if we can before continuing. Are we sure they are mad? I prematurely and mistakenly healed one while I still had my Fear spell active and they started running again, but I think that was the spell effect and not madness? Or was there some other sign of insanity or curse? Besides the whole 'being snowmen and attacking us' part. Which, Tymora willing, is hopefully over."
Edited to add: "Still, better if they see a familiar face when they first awaken. Donlas, are you comfortable with that?" Lyra asks, remembering the halfling's reticence back at the Inn.
"Not sure how long this spell will last..." Batair says motioning and referencing himself, "...but surely we can carry the lot back to the village. I'd be able to carry two at my normal size."
He gives a hearty grin, but also seems to have a sharpness in his eyes.
"It would be good to get them rested, and hear what they may have to tell!"
"I am fine with them seeing me now; although I am not sure how they will react to me, at least they should know I won't do them any harm" Donlas says "I do have manacles and chain with me if needed"
That one hopefully doesn't know I was the one that put him in a deep sleep before stealing various items from his home. Pretty sure I as quite enough to not have been seen, but you never know
He thinks while saying this.
((OOC: The idea is that Donlas used essence of ether to get one of the villagers unconscious while he stole a couple of valuable items from their home,
Also, Donlas has 5 menacles in his bag of holding))

As the party heads back with the villagers, Lyra tries to keep the villagers warm using Prestidigitation gently on their clothes:
(You chill, warm, or flavor up to 1 cubic foot of nonliving material for 1 hour... If you cast this spell multiple times, you can have up to three of its non-instantaneous effects active at a time, and you can dismiss such an effect as an action.). Lyra would rotate the 3, so that at any time, 3 of the villagers' clothes are warm. Harmonica sounding like a warm, crackling fireside.
"Yes, clearly something made them into snowmen. The Lich? Perhaps they can tell us something."

You are able to get the villagers back to town. The innkeeper is excited to see the villagers being returned and brings out steaming cups of hot chocolate to help warm them up. Logs are placed on the dwindling fire, helping to get the room nice and toasty for the villagers.
Soon the villagers start coming to and looking around. Smiles curve up rosy cheeks, eyes turn merry, but then all of the joy seems to dissolve again.
"We did not find them." One of the villagers says, holding his hot chocolate in both hands and staying very close to the fire. "We got lost, then saw strangers, and we tried to ambush those strangers,, who must have stolen our children. They made us so afraid though..." Glancing up he spots the group of you and his face goes even paler. "There they are, get them. They have to know where our kids are being kept..."
Kosmos is so happy when the villagers start coming around, thinking, hey at least so far they've done some good. But then... "Hey wait! Y'all were completely covered in snow and attacking us. We had to subdue you in order to get you back here and back to your old selves. We had nothing to do with your stolen children. We would like to go back out and find them. Bring them back to y'all."

That is the source of your being frightened, a source that should be gone now. We took pains not to harm you directly as you can plainly see, and have brought you back to your homes. Now, if you can give us any information on anything you might remember before feeling the need to ambush us, it might give us a clue as to our true enemy and allow us to find and rescue the children. Which is the whole point!" (Lyra adds this last bit, trying to keep exasperation out of her voice).

Edited to add: once Lyra is done speaking she continues taking actions, specifically Countercharm, in case the 4 ex-snowman villagers are charmed, playing her harmonica in syncopated rhythms to try to break up any magical effect on them.
