The build I have been itching to do for a while is strictly Player's Handbook Material...so that works fine for me. How do you feel about multiclassing? I ask because PH only is a little restrictive and technicially Multiclassing is an optional rule (in the same way feats are...). Also do you have an idea of how high a level you want to play to?
I ask because the build I want to make is a MC Druid/Barbarian...it does just fine in early levels, but really really kicks into gear at level 5 on...Do you see this adventure getting that far?

Personality Traits
I’m always picking things up, absently fiddling with them, and sometimes accidentally breaking them.
Ideals
Change. Life is like the seasons, in constant change, and we must change with it. (Chaotic)
Bonds
An injury to the unspoiled wilderness of my home is an injury to me.
Flaws
Violence is my answer to almost any challenge.
Backstory: Trelvant had attempted to fit in with his druidic family, but they found him too violent..."There is too much of the lion, the bull, the bear, within him. Too much of the storm that blows down our huts and breaks away the branches of our trees." And so they cast him out, to find his place in the wider world of nature. Since then he has been alone, but never far from his home tribe, travelling when they travelled. Staying near when they settled. Running the outskirts of their territory to watch for predators or dangerous people.
That's why he wasn't there the day the worm came. A great beast, burrowing through the ground...came and destroyed the entire clan. It was over before it began. When he came to check on them days later with a deer laid across his shoulders all that was left was the rubble and destruction of the only home he had known. So now he is truly alone, and cast adrift on the winds...seeking a new family and a new place in the world.
Planning on going Druid 2 for Circle of the Moon and then jumping over to Barbarian 3 for Totem Warrior - Bear. He will be a front line fighter that brings together the power of rage and a brown bear. After that will do a mix of Barbarian and Druid...not sure how much of each just yet...probably depends on longterm plans for the campaign.
Edit to add: In light of the fact that we are only going to be going to level 5 I think I will make the plan just straight druid and pick up Magic Initiate instead of Warcaster to get Fire Bolt, Light, and Shield added onto my spell list from Wizard. Also changed up the ability scores a little bit now that I don't need the 13 in Str for a planned MC to Barb.
Been a while since I've done some strictly player's handbook material! I'd love to be involved if you're taking folk on. Here's what I got:
Name: Claron Brewer
Race: Half-elf
Class: Wizard
Background: Folk Hero
Age/Key physical features: 20 Years old. Claron has curly blonde hair that’s usually tied up in a bun. He's small, but athletically built. His skin is tan from a life spent outdoors. He has a very young face. Folk often mistake him for a boy in his early teens or, almost as often, for a girl.
Alignment: Chaotic good
Character Bond: I worked the land, I love the land, and I will protect the land.
Character Flaw: The tyrant who rules my land will stop at nothing to see me killed.
Backstory: After graduating from a prestigious magic academy, Claron’s mother, Rojon, took up practice in the countryside as a journeyman magician, in the village of Aquarine, in the Barony of Thallen Vickas. She made her living helping the folk with domestic magics and soon found she had no desire to ever return to the grind of city life. She married a local brewer named Ostran and soon Claron was born.
Claron grew up with an appreciation of the arcane expertise of her mother, as well as the rough, rural wisdom of his father. By the time he was ten, he could call forth an illusion as easily as he could skin a deer. His ability to levitate objects was only a bit more impressive to local kids than his ability to escape a grapple in backyard wrestling matches. Claron loved his home, his friends, his life.
He loved his home so much, in fact, that when the Baron Vickas came to collect on a third levy earlier this year, Claron and his gang developed a brilliant scheme to keep their town solvent, and make sure the Baron minds his business.
The details of the scheme aren’t important. Suffice it to say, it didn’t work, and only Claron managed to escape. Now his friends have all been impressed into the Baron’s navy as punishment for their crimes, shipped off to die at sea or in foreign lands. Claron himself, the group’s fearless leader, will face the gallows if he’s ever caught in Aquarine, or anywhere else in the Baron Vickas's holdings. Now Claron is alone, save for a snake familiar named Otto, with only what wits his family gave him, and what little money they could spare. He worries for his friends and feels responsible for their fate. He misses his family. He has nowhere to go and nothing in particular to do, but he’s seen the outsized injustices petty men can do with power, and wherever he goes, he doesn’t have a mind to let them keep getting away with it.
Name: Hana Race: V. Human (GWM feat) Class: Cleric (War Domain) Background: Outlander Age/Key physical features: 23 y/o. Slender body but is toned from excessive traveling and physical training. Has blonde hair and green eyes. Skin is tanned from constantly being outside. Alignment: NG Character Bond: Children represent our world's potential. Any wrongdoings towards children is taken personally. Character Flaw: Torm's will takes precedence over my own well-being. I tend to neglect my own needs. Backstory:
Hana hails from a small, backwoods village in the middle of seemingly nowhere. One winter, the village was seemingly cursed when one of the hunters brought back a twin-tailed fox cub he had killed. With each passing week, a child under the age of 10 would die from hypothermia despite all efforts and precautions to stay warm.
Being 9 at the time, Hana's parent's feared the worst for their daughter and decided to venture out to seek a church that could help their village. Typically, villagers would never attempt to leave the village during the winter months due to the harsh weather, but time was of the essence. Hana's parent's packed what they could and left the village, leaving Hana with her grandparents.
Several weeks passed and several more kids were taken by the winter's cold. Until one day, Hana began to feel the cold bite deep into her body. Soon Hana was bedridden and it seemed the worst was soon to come. However, a cleric had arrived in the village, and through his magic he began to heal Hana of her ailment. The village watched in awe as the cleric performed a divine ritual which lifted the curse that was affecting the village. The cleric told Hana that her parents were the ones that summoned him. They had informed him of the village's troubles and whereabouts at his temple door before soon succumbing to the winter cold themselves.
Moved by her parent's sacrifice and inspired by the cleric's abilities, Hana put herself under the cleric's tutelage. For several years she honed her skills in armed combat, divine magic and the teachings of Torm. Until finally, at the age of 15, she set out on a journey to spread Torm's will. It has been 8 years since then, and Hana is still ever-devoted to her mission.

Claron's Character Sheet
I'll stick with wizard throughout the campaign. I haven't decided yet on my school. Maybe I'll decide through RPing lvl 1!
