Dorian spends his short rest harvesting the skins and materials of the fallen creatures. He will try to gather some dragon scales of the baby dragon and some of its meat. Survival check: 23.
Dorian spends much time trying to harvest the dragon but is unfamiliar with how to collect the scales without damaging them. He ends up wasting his time and gathers no useful samples. He was so focused on this that the nothic takes him by surprise.
Believing that it was probably just one of his companions, Rizo, oblivious to the danger outside, continues trying to search the tent which is much too small for his tastes.
The Nothic skulks the pathways between the tents in this abandoned camp. It is convinced that magic secrets must lie dormant here. What else could explain that it looks like everyone has vanished in an instant. It observed the arrival of a group of adventurers who fought off several chance encounters and, now, do look like if they are about to scavenge the camps secrets. 'NO! These are mine!', a voice screams in its mind, 'They must leave, or die!' It approaches (25 feet if outside, 10 feet if inside a tent) one of the adventurers (1d4 - roll above - Rizo, Gorden, Dorian, Gale) and tries to glance into their mind (Weird Insight, please make a Deception check against the Insight roll - above - and describe what fact or secret the Nothic learns about you). It hisses, "Do not touch anything!", and threatens, "Leave this place immediately, or prepare to die!"
(I would say, that it is prepared to let us walk away if we waive the treasure table rolls. We would get the XP and the gold but not the rolls.)

Rizo, surprised by the sudden appearance of the Nothic behind him, tumbles over with the entire tent. "I will not give up my findings!" He shouts from within the mountain of fabric, while he tries to get out. "Who are you anyway?"
Trying to underscore his argument, the Nothic attacks Rizo (prone) with his claws.
Dorian hears the nothic talk about the treasure belonging to it, but he didn’t fight an army of stuff to get it. He shouts to it, Abomination, you didn’t earn the reward. You hide like a coward and expect us to be afraid. Haha. As Dorian laughs, he runs full speed to the creature. He gives a look in his eye to the creature, not of fear and worry but joy and excitement. It gets the impression that Dorian is actually enjoying the challenge and wants to see how he can hold up against it.

He [Rizo] was raised as a wildfire druid but has recently begun theorising that the source of wildfire is related to arcane wild magic, or wild magic is related to primal forces, and that he isn't sure yet which way it is.
Unsure that his point has been received, the Nothic attacks again, taking advantage that Rizo is still on the floor.

Having stood up successfully, and being confronted by the sight of the Nothic, Rizo decides to summon his Wildfire spirit boar again (bonus action). It appears just short of 10 feet behind the Nothic.

Sorry, I just realised that this requires an action, not a bonus action. In this case the bonus action is Shillelagh. I'll summon the Spirit next turn and use the successful DEX save of the Nothic.
Two little eyes peek out from the bushes, a small rustling sound ensuing. SUddenly, out from the bushes, a small kobold clad in monastic robes emerges with a big smirt trailing across his toothy mouth.
"Mmh, this place seems to have everything I need, and...people?!"
Meepo yelps a small bit after seeing the group fighting a mischievous Nothic, inhaling a small bit.
Gale, staring strait into the Nothic's eye, reveals his secret. (I'm not rolling because this will progress the role-play story)
Gale is the adoptive son of Akadi, Queen of Air (from the primordial realm).
As the Nothic learns this secret, he stumbles back in fear: "Wh... wh... who are you? You cannot possibly be the son of Akadi. Your are not even an elemental!" He says this with fear in his eyes.
How about we take a short rest and our next enemy has a surprise round, if we don't hit a certain perception DC?
