Darbakh pauses for a moment of shocked silence when Redoff offers him a drink. “Why…thank you, young one,” he replies, though hesitantly. “I’m Darbakh, and I know naught of this forest you’re both talking about.”
Darbakh leans to the snake perched on his shoulder. “Test the food and drink,” he whispers, though his whispering is kind of loud. He then turns back to Redoff and Aeron.
”So, this forest…what does it hide? Why would it need defenders?” the Duergar warrior asks.
"I am if said opportunity leads to enough money for me to leave this place. What do you know about adventuring around these parts?”
Gordon, overhearing, will say "You go into the forest, and wander around, fighting monsters, until you find an area with treasure. I've no idea where the treasure comes from, but it's no weirder than magical flying fish and floating sea kelp I found there once. Perhaps the treasure areas are monster lairs."
He sits down at the table, and says, "If you're going on an adventure, I'd be happy to join you."

Darbakh’s snake finishes taste-testing the food and drink and slides a mug over to the Duergar, who sips while listening. “More people would increase chances of success…but where to? When you say ‘wander around…” He pauses, furrowing his heavy brows as he remembers the words in Common. “…where do you have in mind?”
Whistler couldn't help but pull out and examine one of his shiny new silvered darts as he left the blacksmith. He smiled as he admired the sheen, the workmanship. Between his darts, and blades--including his new, foreign one--he'd be ready this time for any were-creatures that he crossed paths with!
It had been a couple days since his last outing, and while getting his weapons silvered had cost a pretty penny, he still had enough left for even several more days and nights of meals and room and board, if needed. But... he hungered to keep at it. He could feel that he was getting stronger, and that his new powers were about to cross a threshold. And if he could face off against more dangerous threats, it made sense that he'd come across even more loot, too.
"Guess it's time ta find me a new squad," he said to himself as he once again entered the Hero's Haven and grabbed a seat at a table by himself.
"Gordon is a fearsome soldiers and is always fighting with his fists. Now we have more men coming along, we may take bolder plans and travel into the forest as well. What do you say?"
“A bandit camp, you say? I’m not fond of bandits.” Darbakh pauses briefly to eat some of the food, though he stares at a wall of the tavern while he thinks. “I will join this group…both for treasure, and to rid this place of bandits.”

Seeing Whistler, Gordon will thank him for the magical tattoo, showing off the runes he drew, which translate to "strikes made magic".
*If Whistler joins, we'll have five, right? That seems good, but we can wait to see if anyone else wants to come. Who wants to administer the adventure?*

(I can try my hand at administering if no one else wants to; I could use the extra XP, lol.)
