(ooc: Yes, using a skill that adds a d8 to invesigation. it refreshes on a short rest so I am quite sure we have atleast an hour before we leave so I will be refreshed before we leave.)
"I give you my thanks Master Halfling. I hope I can give this back intact at the end of our quest."
With a 22 you get the exact last know location of the tower and the person you get the info from thinks the tower can only be found at night. If you would like please discribe/RP how you found the info
Also anyone who wants to join the adventure hop in I'll create the new thread tonight.
Hadrian found everyone listening in so he addressed the party.
"I went to the weapons store first to both get the javelins and ask about the clock tower. I have already asked elsewhere but if anybody have seen it, it would be adventurers and they love to talk to their blacksmiths and Mage teachers."
He looked at everyone's eyes as much as he can as he speaks in a clear military tone.
"The blacksmith directed me to the adventurer who saw it last and I met with him. Thankfully, he and his party is in town at the temple. I asked a temple initiate for a 'Detect Lies' miracle and haggled it down to 5 gold 'donation' for that spell. I then asked the party 'nicely' for information on where they found the tower last."
"I am a bit of a cartographer so I had the man describe their journey until they found the tower. I could tell, thanks to the miracle, when the man is giving me false information and I had him correct himself 'nicely'. I have a rough draft of it on this parchment that I will give to Master Halfling."
He handed the map to Tommy. He then made a small frown.
"The tower can only be found at night and it is a ways away from the town to the west and north of the path. That was how far I got with intimida.... persuading the adventurers under a detect lie miracle."
He gulped down the entire tankard of Ale.
(ooc: A bit of a read, I apologize. I love to RP my characters and tell stories.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tommy eagerly takes and opens the map. Mmm yes yes if we are here and this is the scale. Tommy's figures move across the map and you say he last saw it here and All the details I got say it could be a far west as here east here and it's always north of the road. Then our search area is this box with us starting in the center and spiraling out.

Hadrian tried his best to see with a perceptive eye. He did not notice anything when he was making the map but he is not graced with the ability to read nature.
(Perception roll: 9)
"Master Halfling, take a look at this..."
Hadrian tried to show Tommy what he think the pattern looks like.
(ooc: I do not know. please explain. I SWEAR TO GOD MY ROLL IS 18 hohoho, take the last roll. I will not be editing my posts here on.)
No call me master feels weird. But your right. I was looking at it like it was an animal but it's a mathematics pattern. So based on that the tower should be here tomorrow night.
”’Right!” Jetsam answered. He unbuckled his shortsword and dagger, and slung his longsword off his back, placing them on a table. He then slipped his mail off and set it down as well.
(OOC I guess we roll initiative? How do I roll a die in the comment?)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
Hadrian forgoes the martial contest to get himself ready for the adventure. He went back to his inn room and prepared his pack. dry clothing wrapped to keep elements out, ink and paper, rope, rations, mess kit, tinderbox, waterskin.. enough for a week. He tied a torch and a few javelins as well, easy to grab and wield but not loose enough to fall off. when he was satisfied with his pack, he went for his leather waist pouch.
Charcoal for writing or filtration and a sheepskin parchment to quickly scribble maps and details on and a small dagger right on the belt.
"For when one of my arm gets incapacitated." He ensures himself.
He took off his armor and inspects it for damage. Adjusts some rings on his chainmail and dons it back on. He ensures his Jackboots are securely snug and his ringed gauntlets are strapped.
He takes his backpack and secures it on his belt then picked up his maul and slung it on his shoulders. He took one look around and finally picked up his barbut. he hung it on his head but before he pulled it on his face he turned off the oil lamp.
"I will be back my dear."He said to an empty room, he pulled his barbut down and closed the inn room door.
(digital rolling on the forums works if you are on a computer. it is the dice icon on the tool ribbon. On mobile you have to type the commands. [Roll]1d20[/roll] but with no capital letter on the first 'roll')
Is that a 22 total?
