JJ did say he was going to be posting less often. Have to assume he is just really busy. This would be a great time for witty banter but I have to admit to being at a loss as to what Adoy would say in this situation, watching a shiny dwarf climb a rope, in a cave, to the beat of terrifying drums.
I am a little lost.Right now we hopped over the round window with broken bars and we are at the oposite side. There is another exit from that "new" room and we try to open it. Is this right?
As I understand it the bars are more like a whole wall of the room we are in, which is just a small lookout post (I assume we are pretty cramped in here). At the back end of the lookout post is a door, presumably leading into some sort of barracks or access tunnel from which the guards would have accessed the lookout post.
I apologize for the slog-fest this game has become. I feel that perhaps a sandbox campaign was not the right fit for a PbP adventure, and I hope to remedy this in the future. If anyone has a wish for us to quit, I will do so willingly and with no hard feelings. I actually have an interesting one-shot adventure in mind which you are all free to join, and if you express interest in it I will be sure to save you a position.
If the vote is unanimous, then we will end the campaign. I will be sure to PM each of you with the details in the upcoming days/weeks.
We learned two valuable lessons from this experience. First, yellow breeches are never the way to go. Second, sandbox campaigns and play-by-post don't mix. :D
You will be playing a band of paranormal investigators, masters of the otherworldly and the arcane. There will be little combat involved in this adventure, but plenty of problem-solving and clue-finding. A small, isolated farmhouse will be the location, and the small family living there your main interaction.
Still interested. Can we get some more details about this like character creation rules and which level we are expected to reach at the end of it? I will take a little time coming up with a character concept though..

So um... We seem to have come to a halt... Is everyone alright?
It looks that we are stuck in the hole many ft above the ground

Things are going a little slowly, I agree.

I am into the short adventure :)
If you no longer wish to continue this adventure and switch to a one-shot, I have no problem with that.
It is up to the group to decide whether to quit or not.

I must admit, I have lost interest (I'm now in two RL campaigns), so I wouldn't mind to stop.
If your heart is not in the game then don't force it, I wont hold it against you. I would be up for a one shot, id love to play a rouge.
I could try playing a Ranger.
I would like to play white dragonborn barbarian from some "eskimo" tribe (probably human tribe)

Maybe you can try a mix between sandbox and railroading... ... ... Assuming such a thing is even possible.
Sandbox will not work (as we said at the beginning ;) ) Let's try simple one shot adventure
Brief description of the one-shot I have in mind:
You will be playing a band of paranormal investigators, masters of the otherworldly and the arcane. There will be little combat involved in this adventure, but plenty of problem-solving and clue-finding. A small, isolated farmhouse will be the location, and the small family living there your main interaction.
Encouraged Classes: Bard, cleric, druid, paladin, rogue, ranger, sorcerer, warlock, wizard
Discouraged Classes: Barbarian, fighter, monk
Encouraged Races: Magic-using races
Discouraged Races: Combat-centered races
If you are still interested, let me know!
