Watching the trap door where Hrothgar and the others came from he gets a bit anxious, unsure if hes hearing noises come from it or from outside. He will try to summarize the plan to get everyone on the same page.
Very well. So Jek, Shirin and Slade will try to create a diversion using the underground tunnels to move around as best they can. He turns and takes a few steps
Meanwhile Dageron and myself will go to retrieve this Melisandra you spoke of and a wagon, then go to the stables to find horses for it. Perhaps we can have some horses pull the wagon and another carriage if they have it.
Looking to Brevon Brevon will remain here with the urRu and work on the portal.
Pacing back in the other direction We will return with the horses and the other group will meet us here. Hopefully a portal will be in place to transportus he pauses a moment even if its only a short distance, to safety. He looks to Shirin to emphasize a backup plan is in place. Otherwise we will use the animals and carts to carry everyone away.
After the recap of what he heard Hrothgar continues his pacing back and forth. I know most of us dont know each other, but know that we have a common enemy out there. He points his swordhand towards the tower. If we work together we have the best chance of surviving this.
Looking around the room at all the faces he tries to meet their eyes to have them connect to his words better. We each have our mission. When in doubt look to those besides you, they depend on you as much as you on them. Let it guide your actions and ..
He stops his pacing and Hrothgar looks to Brevon's armor and the gleaming symbol of the sun on it. His voice a bit louder with each of the next words and with great conviction ..let it give youfaith. Faith in each other and that we do not stand alone this day. United we will achieve our goals!
His voice returning to a calm and normal volume Is everyone ready? he asks
During/After he gives his speech everyone in the party (our 6 PC's) will feel inspired and gain 7 temp hp (lasts untill depleted or next long rest)
"A great speech, Hrothgar," Brevon commends the warrior. He has joined the uRu mystics in their prayers and meditations, noting the details of their ritual. The best that he can discern, anyway. He takes a few slow, deep breaths, meditating on the significance of Hrothgar's words. "I am as ready as I can be."
A mischievous grin on his face, Dageron nods enthusiastically. "We stole into his camp, stole his prisoners, and now we steal our way free. I never once thought much of thieves, but today I am proud to be one. I am ready."
Jek listens quietly to Hrothgar's speech. He begins to clap and cheer... but realizes quickly they are still supposed to be sneaky, and gives a quiet "Huzzah!" instead.
He moves over to the tunnel team. "Okay, we should strategize. Slade, I can make the image of the Luck Dragon in the sky. Can you make it roar? Oh, do you know Draconic? If you could have it yell something in Draconic, that would be scary. If needed, I can pool the shadows and create darkness so we can get away if we are in a bind. What else can you do, Slade? Oh, and Shirin, you're a Witch right? What spells can you do? I've never heard of any stories about Witches carrying a sword, let alone two!"
[As they go through the tunnel, Jek will turn two of his 1st level spells into Sorcery Points]
"Aye, I can make the wee beastie sing and dance fer ya if'n ye wish it Jek. As fer the language I was lucky enough to learn a few words of it from me Grandad fore he left." Darla the goose chooses this moment to try and take a bite from Jek, barely avoided by Slade. "I can handle me own escape lad. You just worry fer yerself and the Witcher here. What I can't do myself, Darla can fly me out of."
Jek nods "Yea, that sounds goo... AAHHH." Jek falls over as Darla almost takes a bite out of him. "Whoa.... That is one mean.... duck? I've never actually seen one of these before."
Jek will stand back up and dusts himself off. "Darla, I am very fragile. You could have killed me! Where was I. Oh, yea, should we try to light things on fire as well, really try to sell it? I make fire once a day though. It's not really my specialty."
Shirin looks at Jek with a blank stare, “Never heard of a Witcher? Hmm. No time to explain - let’s get moving.” He makes his way back to the subterranean entrance, and swiftly makes his way down.
(( Hrothgar - please feel free to add to these steps! ))
Team 1 - Leaving the Tower:
Dageron and Hrothgar have one of the urRu scout outside to make sure the coast is clear. Once the signal is given, they carefully exit the temple and make their way to where Melisandre should be.
Team 1 - To the Stables
Once reunited with the witch and the cart, the three make their way to the stables. Dageron asks Hrothgar to fill Melisandre in on the plan while en route to the stables. He takes point and intercepts any inquiries from patrols.
Team 1 - Retrieving the Mounts
Once at the stables, the team will assess how many enemies are protecting it...
Shirin looks at Jek with a blank stare, “Never heard of a Witcher? Hmm. No time to explain - let’s get moving.” He makes his way back to the subterranean entrance, and swiftly makes his way down.
Darla puffs up a bit at being referred to as a duck, but a few calming strokes from Slade soothes her over. For now
Jek is slightly unnerved by Shirin's blank stare. "Oh, yes, umm, of course... A witcher.... I've definitely heard of that...And there, uhhhh.... witcherings? Lets keep moving."
As they move through the tunnel, Jek will whisper to Shirin "I think Darla likes me. She keeps puffing up her feathers when she looks at me. I didn't know ducks could hiss like that."
As they get to the end of the tunnel, Jek will say "Who wants to peak out, see if it's clear to go out?"
When waiting a moment for the urRu to check if the coast is clear Hrothgar checks his armor, making sure the illusion is still up and follows Dageron, filling the role of a soldier under captain Dagerons command to avoid speaking to whoever they run into.
As they meet Melisandre he introduces himself but tries not to say to much. Just enough to fill in their side of the plan and that the others were creating a diversion.
With Dageron focussed on getting them past anyone asking questions Hrothgar takes a good look around. When at the stables he will move closer to Dageron and whisper There seem to be about half a dozen troopers here.
He takes another look and adds Perhaps we can start adding a horse to this cart and collect mine to prepare for travel and wait for the others to draw them away.
If they decide to wait outside a moment Hrothgar will just act a guard of the wagon, waiting for someone to arrive. If Dageron can get them inside the stables Hrothgar will try to find his horse first, then another to have the other one carry the wagon for them.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Outside the stables, seeing the quantity of Vader's soldiers, Dageron leans over to Hrothgar and whispers. "Wrap this cloth around your throat." He hands Hrothgar a bandage. As soon as Hrothgar does, Dageron will say, "If I look at you and make direct eye contact, nod your head as if you're agreeing with me. If I point to someone, nod with a grave expression, like you're angry."
Once setup, he will tell Melisandre to stay with the wagon and he and Hrothgar will enter the stables. Dageron will walk fast, with a cruel scowl, anger in his eyes. He bursts through the stable doors and immediately begins barking in Orcish. "Whose in charge here? Answer me you mewling rejects!" Once someone steps forward he will launch into a tirade. "DO YOU SEE THIS MAN! THIS IS A COMRADE AND ONE OF YOU"RE BASTARDS CUT HIS DAMNED THROAT!" He purposefully turns and points at Hrothgar's throat. In a cold, calmer-seeming voice that is rife with calculated cruelty. "We are a mixed race army and none are to kill our brethren, regardless which soft useless race they come from. This weak puke is MY WEAK PUKE - he is assigned to ME. When he was attacked, he was in the middle of carrying out MY orders. Now, I don't care one stick about his throat - but his orders are still unfulfilled! We can do this one of two ways. either you bastards move double quick to fill the [bleeping] orders we're here for - and I mean RIGHT NOW - or I'll exercise my officer's privilege as a Cleric assigned to the Marshall Discipline Unit and start executing every [bleeping] one of you."
There are two Hobgoblins and five Orcs in the stables when Hrothgar and Dageron arrive and the tirade begins. They stop what they're doing, working as makeshift black smiths and grooms as they prepare the menagerie of creatures in the stables to ride out for whatever purpose. There's a moment of silence as they all look at Dageron, at Hrothgar and his bandaged throat, at each other, back at Dageron. One of the Hobgoblins shifts uncomfortably, but the other is unphased. In fact, it looks downright offended. Two of the Orcs look equally as pissed off, and step up next to the pissed off Hobgoblin. Three of the Orcs glance uncomfortably at one another.
"Who are you and what are you on about?" The Hobgoblin says, keeping a calm voice. He doesn't bother to look at the others who are with him; he knows they have his back. "You lot, who cut this man's throat?"
He finally looks around. Of course, none of the others admit to cutting Hrothgar's throat.
"With respect, sir, I don't think you've found who you're looking for." The Hobgoblin's voice is laced with venom.
Dageron (having no idea how badly he has sold the moment) walks swiftly up to the Hobgoblin responding, their faces inches apart. "My soldier was ordered to retrieve specific beasts for a insurgency mission and was found in a pool of his own blood half a block from here not two hours ago. The trail of blood leading back here! I'll not heal a man who can't defend himself, but I'll not see his task unfulfilled either. Now... I don't actually give a damned if you lot wanted to rough up a soft skin - especially a green recruit. Fact is, he's probably a liability anyway. So it doesn't matter to me right now if you or yours may be lying to my face." His tone hardens at those last words. "But it does matter that our special operations team ACTUALLY LEAVE ON TIME!" His voice booms the final words. "So I don't give a flying fart who did what! I don't care if you lot don't want to fess up! Just get me the [bleeping] animals!"
"Soldier!" He turns and looks at Hrothgar. In common he says, "Point out which of these damned things the Commander instructed you to retrieve and look hard at these faces. They showed your weakness to me today. By the Gods of War if you were a Hobgoblin I would have fed you to them by now!"

[Assuming the coast is clear]
Jek will come out of the tunnel exit behind Slade, nodding to Darla as he passes. "Okay, I'll make the dragon, you make the sounds as you think it's appropriate. I'm going to make it small at first, then have get bigger, like it's coming in from a distance and getting closer. You should make what ever sounds you think are appropriate."
With that, Jek will cast Silent Image. speaking a single word in Celestial "Pemhwol", he will pull the shadows from around and craft an image of Sfak in the sky 60ft above and at an easterly angle away from them. This is Atoh's sister's dragon he met at the Oasis. Starting small, with dark illusionary clouds in the mixed in to help distort the distance, the tiny form of the Luck dragon gets bigger and bigger, until it's as big as Jek can make it. He will say to Slade "I'm going to make it roar now!" The dragon will rear back its head and let out a deafening roar. Working with Slade, he will try to coordinate the timing of the sounds to the image. Jek will make it fly about, surveying the town and troop positions and try to be as menacing as possible. Once a significant number of people notice it, or the 10 mins is almost up, Jek will have the Dragon shoot straight up into the night sky, into an illusionary cloud and disappear.
