(Narrator:) In the busy hours, the winding streets of Dolsela took host of a large number of adventurers. The main street is filled with shops selling common items and sometimes magical ones. You can really get distracted by the hustle and bustle of business. But in the wee hours in the morning, the streets are are dark and almost empty. Some stores have started putting up their stalls whilst town guards walk through minding their own patrol. Cocozan, Muriel and Tommy navigated the darkened streets to the south entrance. The early morning does not really offer much distractions and they reached the gates without much interaction.
The town gates are guarded by 2 unassuming guards. They seem to look alike due to wearing just about the same thing.
"Where are you guys headed?" "Just the three?" "You are cleared, good day."
They must have memorized these little conversations and expected the same answer. Wrote them in a journal and have forgotten about it. This is a daily thing for them, the same for the party. It is just another day, another chance to go deeper into the forest. Another day to get home alive and drink with friends. The three passed through with little trouble and started the long walk towards the forest edge. Passing through the outskirts with a little bit of dilapidated barns and houses along the path. the stone road gradually changes into a dirt road which shrank into a dirt path and the entrance to the forest stands before them, seemingly so bright and inviting. They party knows better.
(Narrator:)As the party walks through the forest, the light between the pine trees gets thinner and the trees themselves seems to have gone taller. Covering the sky with its evergreen leaves and branches. The path have been darkened and a mist started growing thick swirling around and enveloping every adventurer. The mist seems too damp for torches or any flame obscuring everything beyond 10ft all around.
The forest eerily felt too quiet. no chirps or sound of any kind.
The party hears branches on the ground snapping on the forest floor 50ft forward. They ready their weapons for an encounter. They just do not know what or how many.
(ooc: no fire based light. we are obscured, no ranged attacks, maps and positions will follow but before that, I will wait for your first posts, roll for initiative as well, then combat will start)
(Narrator:)As the party gets closer, a wooden bridge is very vaguely visible along with some shapes that seems to be moving on either side of the log-bridge.
"Halt! You three!" The Thug shouted. "Hand over your valuables, your weapons, everything! Leave it on the ground and walk away!"
a bandit next to him quipped . "This will be easy! I cant see them from here but there are only three shapes!"
"We can take 'em!" another bandit interjected.
"We have to negoti.." The Thug tried to reason with his own accomplices to no avail as the bandit seems to be intent on taking everything when their quarry is dead. He shook his head and readies his mace.
Tommy shield at the ready will move forward till the Thug is in sight.
Hey ugly over here.
BA: hunters mark You choose a creature you can see within range and mystically mark it as your quarry. Until the spell ends, you deal an extra 1d6 damage to the target whenever you hit it with a weapon attack, and you have advantage on any Wisdom (Perception) or Wisdom (Survival) check you make to find it. If the target drops to 0 hit points before this spell ends, you can use a bonus action on a subsequent turn of yours to mark a new creature.
With his target Marked Tommy will signal for Jerry to attack.
With a Nat 20 stealth can Jerry make his attack with advantage?
(With the fog and the Natural 20 I think that is just fair. closest enemy to both Tommy and Jerry is Bandit 1. 14HP/12AC.)
The bandit did not see Tommy moving forward until he was 10ft away. But it was not Tommy he had to worry about this time but the fangs and claws of a charging bobcat!
(Bandit1 takes 11 damage. 3HP/12AC)
Thug signalled the Bandit next to him forward. The thug used a stealthy move towards the tree about 25ft towards Muriel and Yanyi.
(Thug stealth roll: 14) hid behind the tree. EOT
(If Thug stealth roll is less than Muriel's passive perception, He will not be stealthed. Muriel knows where he is.) (corrected for stealth mechanic)
Bandit 2 saw Tommy as he closes in. Bandit 2 ran to Tommy and tried to swing his scimitar!
Bandit 2 attack roll: 11 damage: 4
Bandit 1 felt mangled and got scared. He swung on the attacking bobcat

(Muriel to bat!)
Murial had a passive perception of 15, so Murial sees him. Murial dashes towards the bandit and attacks him with her quatertaff, and follows up with a bonus unarmed strike
(Narrator:) Thug was surprised that Muriel was able to detect and trace him, he took a quarterstaff hit to the stomach for5 damage and an unarmed strike to the head for 10 damage.
Cocozan ran forward towards the last place he heard the branch snap and found a bandit attacking Tommy. He held his club back for a swing and the club went really shiny. He then attacked the bandit swinging down towards its head.
(Cocozan used bonus action to cast shillelagh and used his action to attack Bandit 2)
