Flint finds a seat at the table and begins preparing himself a plate of food - piling meats and potatoes high. As the others debrief the council on the groups latest exploits, he digs into his meal with fervor. He looks up after a moment realizing he is being rather loud, "Oh excuse...,"he says through a mouthful of potatoes. "You see we have much to do on this list and I'm not sure when the next time we will have an opportunity for such feast."He begins to wave a piece of bacon as he speaks, "Going here and there all across this realm - and having to be done before the next winter arrives."
(haha he's not sure that's true IC yet - he was more worried with trying to *remember* the piece than interpret it)

"Well... We could use some horses..." Ky says, sipping her second cup of coffee, while trying to brush out the knots in her thick brown hair. "The last batch of horses you supplied should be safe, but they are roaming the planes northeast of here..."
Looking to the group she says, "Is there anyone here that has a library? To much to ask perhaps. We could use supplies as well. It will be a long journey I think."
Listening to Carodoc recite the words in song she smiles. "That was quite good Carodoc. I think that is 5 things we seek though. A Chain, a Locket, a pendent, a shield, and a scroll."
Rolls for knowing something.

OOC: I want to roll for more, but i dont think Ky would know anything else.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Oh!"he grins at Ky and runs the recitation back in his head. "Hmm... it DOES sound like the keepsake is a different artifact from the locket. So five more... six in total... that's creepy!"

You don't really deal with Arcane at all. You have no real idea of anything on this.
Based on the information you have on the fire giant and the fire plane, you know of 4 RIFTS to the fire plane. One is south on an island to the west. One to a landmass island to the southeast. 1 in mount Hotenow, and 1 in the spine of the world.
Carodoc
Based on your general wisdom and understanding, you come to the realization there is probably more relics and vestiges out there. In fact, within the "riddle" that was given to you by the power of the wish, it mentioned that the one Flint seeks has ANOTHER relic of evil...
Based on this realization, you think that the relics that were mentioned to you by the power of the wish were mentioned because they would be best served to aid all of you specifically, and in dealing with the task you need to.
"I agree, Caradoc. It is almost as if the gods have placed these items before us specifically,"(Flint looks to the camera and winks) He takes a drink from a mug of ale then turns to the wood elf. "The elemental planes touched this one near my village - the earth and fire. Lera, in your travels around that area did you pick up on any portals?"
Ky thinks for a moment. "I have not made my way to all of the ones that I learned about.... There are so many rifts yet to see. The one that taught me how to use my born gift to sense these things told me once that he wished he had the 700+ years of life that I will have to see them all, because he would need it to do so. He also told me that they change as planes shift and change."
Stopping her hair brushing, she taps her comb in her palm a few times in thought. "The ones I know about anyway... There are 2 in the south, so those are obviously out... There is the planar rift we just were at... but we can't go there now... and Visarai changed it somehow to make it a tear into the shadowfell. So the only one north I can think of, is the one that opened when you were still in the womb in the spine of the world. That trip will take weeks to get there, even with me leading you all, but that is the most promising i think. There are quite a few giants up there..."
Going off Carodoc's statement, Ky says "Do you think the gods placed the items for us? Or do you think the wish spell made the items... or changed items slightly to work for us?"
Going off Carodoc's statement, Ky says "Do you think the gods placed the items for us? Or do you think the wish spell made the items... or changed items slightly to work for us?"
"I think..."Caradoc starts, then stops and chews his lips for a few moments before continuing. "I think there have been wars like these for untold aeons, and heroes like you all have had to rise up in the different wars. Artifacts are probably lying Forgotten all across the Realms... I think the Dawnfather is pointing us the way to the ones he knew of that would serve us in this quest."
Eshuvenniel Kazander Ravid,Valor Bard and Acolyte of the Goddess of Luck Caradoc Langham, Halfling Rogue - Lost Magics - Epic of Pre-made Proportions! I'm not looking for heaven or hell... just someone to listen to stories I tell...
Ennis, in his quiet observation, shakes his head at Caradoc's words.
"Not 'you all,' Caradoc,"he says slowly, his face halfway between a smirk and a frown, "'US.' As grand and world shaking as these events are, I don't think you, or any of us, can deny our own involvement any more. Not when a god has personally singled us out."
He adjusts his glasses and sits up just a bit straighter in his chair.
"As to how we should proceed...I think this locket that apparently has the power to open portals should be a first priority. If we are to gather all of these tools, forge alliances, and empower others to stand along side us, all within the next year...I think it will be necessary that we have those portals to be able to travel quickly. Once we have that, we can reassess where we stand."
He pauses for a moment.
"But I think we do have one OTHER task we should accomplish first, before we undertake the gathering of these relics."
"Heroes like us Carodoc... like us." Ky says smiling as she braids her bangs into the traditional braid-crown that holds her loose hair back. "Don't put yourself down. We may use magic, but I saw you fillet that Hill Giant as effectively as a chef guts a fish... Just a different kind of magic..."
Leaning down next to him, she whispers, "To be honest... I am as stealthy as they come... but I kind of... cheat... with magic... but you do it without it. Maybe you could... teach me on the road? You are a deadly little man... Teach me to be just as deadly."
Hearing Ennis emphasis OTHER task, she looks up at him "What do you mean?"
"I believe the last thing we did before stumbling upon this deity-level madness was send out a large number of your friends from Na'Thair heading in this direction. Given the imminent peril we now know the world is facing, I think it would be good to go and help make sure they arrive here safely."
Ky nods appreciatively. "We just jumped hundreds of miles in a step. Even with them traveling since morning, I don't expect such a large group to get here until tonight, or the following day. I think even given our timetable, we can still take a few days to collect ourselves and get ready. After such a loss, I know I would need some time to process."
"I believe Ennis here is suggesting that we head to the north to meet them and escort them the rest of the way back here."Flint then turns to the council. "So, yes... I guess that would be another thing. You are about to have quite a few refugees arrive here. I hope that will be something you can manage."
Sarith and Linene look to one another. "Well... with things getting harder in the world like you described, I think we are all going to need to pull together." Linene says.
Sarith nods and smiles, "After being so welcomed in ourselves, we will of course do what we can."
Barda sighs but nods. "What is their situation? Do they have coin, or are they destitute?" When people look at her she raises her hands in defense. "I am not asking from a heartless point of view. I say we should do what we can. I am simply asking the realistic questions. Will they be able to contribute to establishing themselves, or is this something we need to account for."
Sighing, Barda says, "Now I sound like that high elf *****... she is annoying and as cold as ice, but she is good with the coin. Where is she anyways?"
Linene shakes her head. "She went out with the last caravan. I believe she was heading to Alvin's clan in the far north to report on the goings on of the town and mine. It is still owned by the Rockseeker clan. What a time to leave!"
Sarith nods to Barda, "Practicality is a fine quality Barda. We will gather what we can and meet them along the path. I am however, more concerned about our food supply if there are indeed so many. What are these peoples skill sets?"
Ky asks Ennis, "You are good with numbers, how many were there? (I forgot lol). A few hundred I think. Many of them have a basic knowledge of natural magic, and some are Fey natives that are actually part of nature itself. I think they could greatly augment the agricultural growth here. Is there any forested areas in this town?"
Speaking to Barda she says, they have what they could carry with them. We also bought some magical items from them. We spent at least 100 platinum with them... maybe more? I am not good with coin..."
Barda smiles at the affirmation that the refugees will able to assist in there own establishment. "Not that we wouldn't help you understand... There is a bit of a forested area south of your hideout. They can probably set up there. It butts up to some of the farms."
Linene stands and says, "I wil start organizing if there are that many more people coming. They will be tired and hungry and we want to welcome them."
As she walks off, Sarith says, "What can we do to help you in this journey? We will get mounts for you... if there is any to spare. Food; we will get that as well. Anything else? Otherwise I will go assist as well."
Aowyn struggles to contain her excitement. "If we are done with this meeting, there is something we have to show you!"
Gelin begins reading over the sloppy transcription... pondering heavily.
"Aye... usin' the portals should save us time, and hopefully give us some advantage in bein' hard to track. If I'm interpretin' the riddles properly, it seems that it lies close to Gundren's Callin' as well. Perhaps we can let some of our friends in town here begin research on the parts of the riddle that are a bit more vague as we venture towards Wave Echo..."
After Frix hugh Cyrnair has been silent, composing himself again.
"My heart warms when I hear you " he says to Linene, Sarith and Barda that they will welcome the rest of the refugees the best the can. " The devas and the planatars told me that they will help with the defenses of this place. I am not sure what they are going to do, but I think anything would help before they leave. "
He takes some food and points to the other conversation on the table.
"Talking about our next step. We should plan it carefully, in order to save us as much time in travels as we can. The sooner we obtain this objects of power the sooner we will be able to face her... That's only good for everyone. "
Based on your general wisdom and understanding, you come to the realization there is probably more relics and vestiges out there. In fact, within the "riddle" that was given to you by the power of the wish, it mentioned that the one Flint seeks has ANOTHER relic of evil...

Flint is a bit confused as he was hoping the council would offer some clues as to one, maybe two, of the locations of the artifacts that Caradoc referenced. "I understand preparations for the refugees need to be made, but could you shed any light on any of these locations... Do any of these locations sound familiar to any of you. " he calls to Linene, Barda and Sarith before they make their exit.
