Tysris is trying get a take on Trex as well, evaluating his words and his truthfulness. "How many of you are there? I'm sorry that you lost one of your crew, perhaps that needs looking into. Have you found anything else down here?" Tysris looks around at the walls, the former miner can't help but look for deposits, itching to use his mining axe. He thinks to himself, Is he magical in some way? Is this a disguise? The other kobolds aren't speaking like that....

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Well, the way I understand it Trex and his tribe of kobolds are prepared to let the miners get back to work, maybe even helping them out with their expertise in mining. And if Trex is willing to come along to Termalaine to meet Speaker Masthew I can't see why he can't do that. Surely the speaker will see that reaching an agreement about cooperation would be better than to kill Trex and still have these kobolds running around in his mine." Sarya says to Dwalt and the others.
"Yes! Yes we can certainly reach an agreement, there is no need to kill me here!" Trex interrupts concerned after hearing that possibel outcome "we simply walked in and the miners run in fear, we can't hold accountable for their reactions! I'm willing to explain to my friends here to wait for my return."

"There's only seven of us, you might've seen everyone on your way here." Trex thinks for second "We haven't seen anything here, other than some giant rats...when Glerk dissapeared he did scream... after going to that area of the mine, I wasn't close when that happened, but my those who witnessed the event couldn't clarify if he screamed as he was falling down or against something that could've jumped at him...you see that's an important difference to distinguish before making any assumptions"
"So, check out the part of the mine where Glerk disappeared, just to be sure, and then bring back Trex to Termalaine?" Sarya suggests to the others in the team.
Ghathi agrees, "Yes, shows us where Glerk disappeared and then we can take you to see the Speaker." He's willing to see what happens with this odd kobold, but will remain wary of whatever spot they might be taken to.
Trex will take you to the place but will remain at the very end of the group (next Sarya)
A hole in the west side of this chamber opens into the central shaft, letting in the sound of the waterfall. The floor in the north end of the cave is five feet higher than in the south end, with a rocky ridge separating them and a slope on either side leading to the top of the ridge. The walls above the ridge gleam with gem deposits.
As soon as Dwalt steps into the area (and anyone else with a passive perception of 16) will notice something floating near the 15-foot-high ceiling...a bulbous brain with a sharp beak and several tentacles hanging resembling a stalactite to anyone that wasn't paying any attention.
Dwalt freezes in place. Images of beings with bulbous brains flood his mind as he breaks out into a sweat, their evil thoughts filling his mind, causing him to scream in silent agony. It takes all his inner strength for Dwalt to stand his ground, but he does so.
Quietly, silently Dwalt motions the party to move back.
((well, no one has seen the creature so far, but it remains motionless. We'll wait for Dwalt's reaction in order to continue here.- or a higher roll from Grimm))
Dwalt edges slowly back. "Don't say a word." he whispers. Dwalt will guide the party 50 ft. from the entrance. Once the party is gathered together he will explain to them what he saw.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Okay, so we take it out right?" Sarya says quickly. "I mean it sounds scary and all, but surely we will be able to defeat a single floating brain, even with tentacles?"She continues, looking at the others. "We were supposed to make the gem mine safe to mine again right?"

As Dwalt describes the situation, Ghathi turns to glance to Trex. "You knew something was in there, didn't you?" he accuses. (Insight to judge the truthfulness of any response: 18)
"I agree though that perhaps we should deal with the creature and see if perhaps anyone might have survived their encounter with it." He sighs. "Or at least recover the remains."
(We're all talking in front of Trex as far as I can tell :-)

Dwalt will follow the kobold, crossbow still at the ready, just in case.
