Dwalt says nothing, letting Sarya do the talking. While waiting Dwalt will get a head count of all the kobolds he can see and what kind of dwellings they have set up for themselves.
After that he speaks with Sayra and the party when he can. "I ain't too keen on them stayin' just cause I understand humans and kobolds. Humans will want ta make slaves of 'em an' kobolds will resort ta killin' when it suits 'em." he says. "But. I can't seem ta find tha balance here ta sort out what needs ta be done with 'em. I think I could convince 'em ta take tha deepest part of tha mine and then tell tha humans that its tha best arrangement we could come ta'?" He looks to the party for suggestions.
Tysris nods to Dwalt, his suggestion makes sense to him. “We can let them sort it out, all the detailth, between Speaker Mashtew and the Kobolds. Hopefully it works.” He turns to the group of kobolds after a minute and says, “Which one uh ya wants to come with us and work out this deal with the Speaker of the city Termalaine? We would introduce you of course, let you guys work it all out. Sound good?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Ghathi too allows Sarya to speak with the kobolds. In response to Dwalt's comments, he speaks slowly, keeping his voice down. "I do fear this relationship may go poorly. Humans may take advantage. The kobolds have no leader to speak up for their interests. It could very well eventually lead to violence, though would hope it does not."
Dwalt can count a total fo si kobolds, two who where trying to cut the wooden walkwayon your first arrival to the mine, two met on your way to Trex and two bodyguards found next to Trex on your original arrival.
Zurk one of the bodyguards steps forward and says to Sarya "Me no smarter than Trex, but I go with you. Trex plan was good, we lost many friends and family out there. It is only we now. "
Sarya nods and smiles to Zurk. "Good, come with us then." She says and turns to leave for Termalaine. As they walk she would speak to Ghathi in a lowered voice. "I agree this is risky for the kobolds but as far as I can see these six won't make it long anyway if they don't come to some sort of agreement with the townspeople."
"It's a good plan," Gathi says. "Presuming the townspeople act in good faith and give this group a chance."He continues walking along with the other back to town.
Dwalt departs from the mine with some apprehension. He will tell the Kolbolds the party will try to help them with the humans but he thinks things will go bad in the long run.
On the way back Dwalt will fashion his holy symbol using leather, wood and other natural materials. He takes up the point position and moves as best he can to keep the party safe and aware of what is ahead.
You return to Termalaine followed by Zurk. You found Speaker Masthew talking to an old man who was complaining about a neighbor, just a common rant from what you were able to see from Masthew's tired expression. As soon as he sees you walking in with a kobold he rushes towards you leaving the old man behind still talking.
"So, you are back. I'm glad to see that... It seems that your brought a sample. Is he the last one of them? can he communicate?" you can see some concern and confusion on his face as Masthew Squinted at the Kobold.
"He certainly can communicate. And I think it would be more accurate to see he is the first of the kobolds." Ghathi replies to Masthew. "Perhaps Sarya can better explain, but they kobolds would like to work with you in the mine. I think they would prove to be excellent workers there."
Tysris says "Speaker, we think that you can make a deal that is beneficial to the town, and to these here kobolds as well. A partnership, perhaps. We handled this thing in the main mine shaft, a huge brain with a beak and tentacles, floating and hiding up high. It was picking people off one by one. You'll find the corpse of it there. Cleared it out and solved your problems, hopefully you can get the mine going, and working with the kobolds, at an even better rate. Maybe you can have more luck finding the veins of gems....." Tysris looks off in the distance, thinking of his pitiful attempts, then he snaps his attention back to Speaker Mashtew.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Sarya smiles and nods as Ghathi and Tysris presents the team's idea and explains to the Speaker how the real threat of the mine have already been handled. "We are sure you can reach some kind of agreement, but we'll be happy to help the negotiations along." She simply adds, motioning for Zurk to step forward to shake the hand of the Speaker. "This is Zurk, the speaker of the 6 remaining kobolds. They are just trying to survive in a harsh world and they are all expert miners. Maybe we could continue inside the tavern while we offer Zurk something to eat?"
"Off course I'm intrigued, it seems that the creature is not hostile and obviously not stupid if it hold any type of agression towards any of you from the mine to our town...Old Farley, I'll hear all about your broken pots later I'm sorry but this is an urgent matter" says Masthew to the old man and quickly takes the lead to the blue clam.
He has a table ready, with a piece of bread and many parchments, some rolled and others laying flat on the table. "I'm sorry for the mess, with the mine issue I'm a bit behind from other duties...supposedly one of the strengths of the tentowns is in their cooperation and different types of trades but lately something is going on everywhere and it's hard to complete our orders of supplies." You can see in one of the papers the name of Goodmead and what seems to be a letter explaining that the mead has been gone due to a Verbeeg attack. Masthew sighs loudly and then looks at the Kobold. "What do you think? I've never encountered this creatures before, not even when I used to work at the mine. You hear all sorts of stories and none of them good, but it doesn't look that frightening with its feets dangling on the chair. do you think we can trust them?
Sarya follows Masthew inside the Blue Clam, taking a seat at his messy table, looking around to see if she could order something to drink. "I'm not sure any of us can say for certain. I think you should let them work under supervision, at least in the beginning, but if you treat them fairly, like any any employers should, I don't see why they would give up a decent life just for some mischief." Sarya says, having real hope for this collaboration in the gem mine.

Sarya says, having real hope for this collaboration in the gem mine.
"That makes a lot of sense, if its only six of them I think we can settle them in here that way they won't have to worry about eating or drinking water...if they actually need to do that." Masthew looks at Zurk "So, do you think you and your friends will find that ok? I'll be honest we will have people watching you for your own protection and for the rest of the people here."
"Zurk and friends can't mind, we are ok if we eat and sleep safe. We can find stones in the mine too."
"Well, it seems that we are going to try it, hopefully next time you hear from Termalaine is all good news about humans and kobolds prospering together...I can't remember if you mentioned if you needed anything from us or if you were heading somewhere else but let me get your payment and feel free to eat something, on the house of course."
Masthew returns carrying a leather pouch and drops several coins on the table, he starts counting and form four piles, each one a total of 50 gp. "there you go, money well spent I'd say" "Zurk and friends only want place to live again and maybe see Trex again, he was smarter one of us.
Sarya smiles as she sees Masthew and Zurk seemingly getting along fine. "Well, maybe Trex will return to you some day, til then do his will and cooperate with the townsfolk Zurk, I will stop by now and then to make sure you behave, alright." She says with a smile to the kobold.
Sarya would then try to have a hot meal and something to drink at the Blue Clam, hopefully together with the rest of the team, and then definitely a hot bath to celebrate. She would also make a small tour of Termalaine, asking her way to where she could purchase 10 gp worth of charcoal, incense, and herbs, and a brass brazier.
Dwalt listens to the exchange and does a quick prayer over the kobold and the speaker before leaving. Dwalt pockets his share of the gold and follows Sarya out, making his way to the tavern. He will purchase a room or bed, which ever is offered, and set in for a nights stay.
Tysris joins Dwalt and Sarya at the table, in good spirits despite the recent encounter with the spirit. His beard is a little more grey, he enjoys the company and the ale in the Blue Clam. After a good evening of celebration he turns in to his room as well. He asks Sarya if she’s ever seen anything like the light that burst forth from his chest when they were fighting the ghost.

"No, no I haven't Tysris, but that was awesome what you did back there to that horrible spirit. You seemed kind of surprised yourself, perhaps you've been blessed by some benevolent god?" Sarya says a bit excitedly as she treis to order, looking at Tysris with new curiosity. She then looks between him and Ghathi, noticing again the grey hair the ghost caused them. "How are you both feeling?" She asks, looking with compassion at her two friends. "That thing really scared the living daylights out of us huh?"
Ghathi had also taken his share then joined the others at the Blue Clam. He slowly eats some soup, warming himself up. When Sarya asks her question, he turns to her, nodding slowly. "I'm feeling tired," he replies. Thinking on it a moment, he then says, "It certainly was overwhelming. I wonder what it even was." He shakes his head. "He would have been just fine had he had just explained to himself. I've no idea why he suddenly attacked!"
He soon finishes off his soup. Not quite sure of the time of day, he then looks to the others. "I do feel warn out. Perhaps it's time for a nap. If not bedtime." He slowly starts to stand, "I will see you all in the morning."
"Not sure but if I had to guess I's say some restless spirit that had taken possession of Trex somehow. It might have felt threatened when we were about to figure it out. Most people doesn't react well to the undead." Sarya says with a shrug. "I'm sorry you feel tired though my friend." She says laying her small hand on his very large in an attempt to comfort the aged Goliath.
"Yes, sleep well Ghathi and see you later." Sarya says and gives the Goliath a wave as he leaves the table.
