"Dougan's hole? One of the other Ten Towns I presume? Well, I'm not from around so please tell me about this place."Sarya says to the fisherman, hoping he would elaborate on his answer.
"Dougan's hole? One of the other Ten Towns I presume? Well, I'm not from around so please tell me about this place."Sarya says to the fisherman, hoping he would elaborate on his answer.
Dougan's Hole it's the smallest town from the region I assume she won't stay long if you think here we have it rough it is way worse over there. It should take you about 4 hours to get there walking, Torga moves here caravan on dogsled so she would be traveling twice as fast.
"Thanks." Sarya says with a nod to the fisherman before turning to Ghathi and whoever else in her travel company is still at the tavern. "Perhaps we should go to Dougan's Hole right away then, before Torga's leave again."She suggests, clearly not being one for overplanning things.
Ghathi nods to Sarya. "It would be best to go quickly if we are going to catch up. Perhaps we should find the others." He glances to Dwalt, "Any thoughts on how we might get to Dougan's Hole faster? Can we get our own sled or something?"
"It's about a 4 hour walk an' if we want ta get there and back before were caught in the dark and cold we should go now."
Dwalt ponders the giants question: 1
and has no idea if there is a sled to rent or anything like that.
Dwalt never needed that kind of service, but he knows that Goodmead does not offer that service, maybe in Bryn Shander or another of the bigger cities from the ten-towns
"So we walk then." Sarya says, getting ready to leave. "Who's coming?" She says, looking around at Thad, Dar, Dwalt and Grim, then glancing up at the goliath beside her, fairly confident that he would be coming with her. (As Sarya started talking to the fisherman right after getting the job maybe for simplicity no one had yet left the tavern.)
(Thaddeus went to the shrine, Grim left for an hour or two to check with "friendly locals", and Darby left to check merchants to see if they knew anything about Torga. That makes Ghathi, Sarya, and Dwalt the only ones still at the tavern. Be interesting to know whether any of them found out anything.)
Ghathi says, "I'm not sure just the three of us ought to set out without the others. We'd best see if we can round everyone up."
Thaddeus would probably return to the tavern after paying his respects, so he'll be easy to round up, and would gladly come along with the investigation.

"Perhaps we should just head out and find the others."Sarya suggests, heading out on the street, hopefully joined by Ghathi and Dwalt, looking around for Brother Thaddeus, Darby and Grim, asking them to come along to Dougan's Hole to catch a killer.
(Sorry for disappearing. My son decided to be a little brat and delete me from the game and discord thread because he decided to haveba fit since he was going to dm a game for us at home. Apparently this was the module he wanted to run and accused me of trying to meta game by joining on here before he even decided which one to run... Needless to say he will not he using my computer for his "homework" anymore.)
Darby will finish up at the small trading post, returning to the others to tell them what little bit of information he was able to gather.
Grim returns to the tavern, pulling the hood down from his bearskin cloak at the same time that he pulls a large wool scarf down around his face and removing a pair of carved bone snow goggles. He shakes his head and stomps his feet, knocking the snow off.
Looking around he joins the party. "Well, I could find nothin' about Torg's whereabouts. I hope ye've had better luck."
"If'n his tracks are still in tha snow, I can track him but we have to make a decision quick." Dwalt says. "I would ask if there is a reward offered?" he asks.
Ghathi heads out with Sarya, looking to gather the rest of the party and head for Dougan's Hole. He nods to Dwalt, "Yes, Hlin offered 100 gold for apprehending Sephek and getting more information on him. And I'm not sure where Togra's was last. Not sure there is a track from here." He pauses for a moment thinking. "Although I guess if they've left Dougan's Hole before we get there, you could try from there."
Sarya listen to Ghathi and nods, again wearing the grey fur hat and the snow goggles, looking around at the others gathered outside the tavern. "Okay, let's move out then." She says plainly, starting to walk southwest along the lake towards Dougan's Hole.
Grim nods, replacing his engraved bone snow goggles and scarf. Pulling up the hood on his bearskin cloak, he double checks his pack's contents before slinging it, his shield, and his crampons over his back. He steps into his snowshoes, pulls on bearskin mittens that still have the claws attached, and takes up his staff that rattles hollowly in the wind. The effect makes him look like a small bear standing upright holding a staff. His voice is muffled behind his scarf. "Onward."
Dwalt and Grim would know that to reach Dougan's Hole you'll simply need to walk West of Goodmead, while the possibility of Torga leaving with her caravan directly to Bryn Shander is a possibility because they are traveling on dog sleds but people rarely do that.
By the time you start moving towards Dougan's Hole the last hours of dim light are up and after a couple of hours walking you are back to the darkness that greeted you to the tentowns. ((you may roll survival, history or religion to know when will a full moon appear which according to Dwalt and Grim and maybe even your logic will be the only time you get to see some more light besides the dim light provided by the sun))
The path to the next town is deliited by a line of logs firmly attached to the ground which can be easily follow and it is recommended to firmly grab the rope that connects each log. As you walk the wind howls fiercely but some of you think you might've heard something else ((your group is very perceptive 14 or more of passive perception, so no need to roll for what's next)) ...wolves? or maybe a wolf... it is hard to know if there's simply one or several.
Is there anything you'd like to do? or continue walking towards the next town? what is your marching order ?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Did you hear that? Wolves?." Sarya says, taking a step closer to Ghathi and readying her crossbow. Survival: 10
(Yes, I think we would just proceed to Dougan's Hole unless interrupted, ready for any wolves to attack. Suggested marching order: Dwalt, Thaddeus, Ghathi, Sarya, Darby and Grim.)
