(( I THINK the plan is: get to within 160' of the nearest enemy, launch arrows and fall back if they advance. If we cant fall back due to terrain, then hold ground and continue with arrows and spells as they advance. If they retreat, form.new plan... ))

@All
Prepared for battle, you all sneak off the path, hoping to get into a better position where some of you can maintain distance as you fire on the undead warriors ahead of you. As you emerge, you make no attempt at stealth, but the undead do not notice you until the statue slams into position, and the undead whirl around. Behind the statue, Norbus, Dazlyn, Elandra, Jade, and Lux stand in a line, prepared to take on the foes ahead of them. The undead foes, even after seeing the group... seem oddly not alarmed. In fact, one lets out what can only be described as some sort of cackle....
Well up the battlefield, you can all see as the mountainous walls of Axeholm shimmer for a moment, and a pale, ghastly spirit emerges. You can't see her face, and all assume you are probably thankful you can't. There's no mistaking it though - this is Vlydara, the dread Banshee of Axeholm. She lets out a cry, in common, screaming "Get them! Scatter their bones with the others who have attempted to attack our halls!". Knowing her natural language is probably Elvish, you get the sense she wanted you all to hear her. With that, her head snaps right towards you, and it's very clear she can see you and is ready for a fight. Time to roll initiative!
Maps: (Note: I know the back row isn't fully 160' back, did the best I could with the map) Also, Balthar is right to the left of Koric. Will update in first map update
Initiative Order Soloth>Elandra>Lair Actions>Ghouls>Norbus>Lux>Vyldara>Ghasts>Koric>Statue>Balthar>Liri>Dazlyn. Soloth is up!
There's two groups - those of you in the back who wanted to shoot at them from a distance and those who wanted to take them on from a bit closer. You, Soloth, and Liri should be at least 100' away from all of the enemies, and farther in most cases, which is as far back as I could put you without you starting off the map.
@Soloth
Ghast 2 is farther than 90 feet away from you, so you can't cast hunter's mark. The arrow hits, but do you want to do anything else with your turn?

Elandra lays a hand on Rocky, "Time for you to shine big man!" So saying she steps forwards, sighting the closest creature and unleashing her wicked tongue at it, "You half-eaten mindless slave of a has been power! Come forwards and return to dust!" She backs away to stand a little behind the front line, letting them form their ranks and hopefully cluster the undead about them.
Action: Vicious Mockery @ Creature 4 (nearest Jade)-WIS 15 save or take 6 psychic damage and DISadvantage on next attack roll BA - Bardic Inspiration on Rocky (1d8) Movement - 5ft W, then 15ft E, 5ft S
@Jade - Bardic inspiration from pre-fight should still be active on you
The ghoul is blasted by your words, and though it doesn't seem to register what exactly your words are, the magic hurts it all the same
@All Vlydara cackles and shouts a command, this time in elvish. For those of you who can speak elvish, read below:
Vlydara shouts "Rise and destroy them! No force will take Axeholm from my grasp!"
Even if you can't understand her, you can all hear the ground rumble, and you all watch as two ghasts emerge, one from each of the two tunnels at the top of the map.
The ghouls then begin to cackle alongside her, all advancing 30' closer to the group. Norbus takes the opportunity to charge at ghoul #4, flying into a rage as he does. He then takes two massive swings at the monster with his greataxe Attack: 26 Damage: 7 Attack: 22 Damage: 10
The ghoul takes two heavy hits, looking incredibly beat up, but still standing. Lux is up! I will do a map update after Vyldara and the Ghasts move
Lux will move forward so as to get all/as many baddies within 30', warn everyone to cover their eyes, and hold up his staff and call on Lanthander for the Radiance of the Dawn.
CON Save DC16 or take 13 radiant damage (half if they save)
Moving Northwest 30 feet, you just barely manage to get Ghoul 1 into the range of your Radiance of the Dawn 20
It saves, taking only half the damage from the blinding light of Lathander
@All
Vlydara flies towards the group by 80 feet, taking a dash action, the wind blowing around her as she moves and the smell of stale corpses growing ever stronger. As she moves, her ghasts begin to act as well
The two ghasts that just came out of the tunnels (3 and 4) also take dash actions, moving 60 feet towards the group, and Ghast 1 does the same. Ghast two runs up to the statue, biting at it Attack: 8 Damage: 15 (halved due to resistance) The attack entirely misses! Map up soon

(It's bedtime for me, so going to preemptively call my action to help keep things moving along. Unfortunately the ghasts aren't grouped up very well for entangle or erupting earth at the moment)
"She calls on her hordes to rise!" Liri will shout, before moving closer (30ft) to Ghast 4 and casts Flaming Sphere next to the ghast. As the burning orb manifests itself on the battlefield, she will use a bonus action to ram it into the creature, taking care to avoid Norbus (and Jade if she has moved closer to it beforehand). It needs to make a DC 15 Dex save or take 4 of fire damage
Koric pales a little at Vlydara's words and glances nervously at the two pits from which the ghouls emerged. He runs northwest to get closer to the main group, feeling isolated and exposed. Keeping the Hammer up is a priority. He is not sure if the logic is true, but it seems reason enough to protect himself from whatever the undead might throw at him.
As he does this he asks Balthar to follow and land on his shoulder. He was too far away to aid anyone and safely return.
Movement: 30' NW (closing about half the distance)
You can’t cast protection from evil and good, as you are maintaining concentration on the spell to animate the statue, and therefore can’t cast another spell that requires concentration. Is there something else you’d like to do?

(Jade is planning on sticking with Stony, so however that goes down)

(( lol...idiot casting a concentration spell so that I don't lose concentration is not very practical ))
As he nears the group flames leap from his hand striking #4.
Attack: 28 Damage: 4
@All
With Koric's firebolt, the 4th ghoul instantly goes up in a putrid puff of rotten smoke
The statue issues a quick salute back to Koric, and then swings its massive warhammer at the ghast in front of it
Attack: 13 Damage: 6
It then follows up this massive blow by bashing the ghast with its shield
Attack: 18 Damage: 11
Ghast Con Save: 19
In the flurry of blows from the statue, the ghast is instantly obliterated. Jade is up!
