During the first watch a swarm of bats exit the cave right over the party members heads. Those awake can hear the flapping of wings and the unique sounds made by bats.
The last watch sees the swarm of bats return back into the cave before dawn.
Roxaria watches the bats fly out. She turns to Kha as he stays up to take first watch.
”You think we can find a cure in time for Trem? I’m concerned about how non-chalantly he is taking this. I’m pretty upset at Hulil and Tulgi right now, but I’m afraid if we spend too much time on those two we lose precious time to find a cure for Trem. What do you think? Should we go back to the Jolly Dwarf or maybe venture into Eiselcross?”
She looks back to see Trem talking to his frog friend, Kronk and then to the rest of the sleeping party before turning back to Kha. “I really have grown to appreciate everyone and it would crush me to lose anyone right now.”
Kha munches on a piece of dried meat as he sits on his watch with Roxaria. He pauses his chewing the answer.
"I don't know how fast this thing takes to uh,... run its course. But we definitely don't want to dawdle. The quicker the better." He finishes his bite before continuing. "Isn't this Eiselcross a ways off? I think we need to get some supplies to prepared for a journey. So we're going to need to head back to Palebank. Also, we don't even know where to go once we get to Eislecross. We need to find someone who knows where that Wenth was poking around."
He follows the elf's glance back to Trem. "I figure he's okay with his fate, or is confident that we'll get him fixed up. Either way, it's better than the alternative... you know?"
Eline rests nearby Kha and Roxaria, though she is certainly out of earshot of their conversation. Blissfully unaware for the time being of her beloved Trem's plight, she snores softly, her chin on her chest, and leaning up against some rocks.
Roxaria blinks out of her trance-like state and stretches her arms. She wakes and eats one of her dry rations, “Ugh. This really is tasteless.” She says aloud, but to nobody in particular.
Roxaria gathers her belongings and does what she can to assist others in packing things up. To late sleepers she gently rocks their shoulder waking them.
”We need to get back to Palebank before we lose too much sunlight. It’s a days travel to go.”
Vauthok is traveling at the front and just off to the side of the others. Dreaming of mead and scanning for enemies. Eyes occasionally drifting over to Trem, obvious concern spreading across his features momentarily.
Eline rises and stretches, yawning loudly. Taking her position in the rear with Roxaria, she replies to Trem, saying, "oh, I'm good! Thank you!" In a slightly flirtier tone of voice says, "as long you're around, everything's really good!"
Roxaria does her best to keep alert; however, she finds herself engaged with Eline.
”May I ask a somewhat personal question, Eline? I see the spark between you and Trem. It’s nice, actually. Have you loved anyone before?”
Roxaria bites her lower lip, unsure if she’s being too intrusive. “I-I guess I’m asking because I’m not sure what that feeling is. I thought I did, but I may have been wrong.”
The party travels for several hours. In the distance near arching rock structures the party sees an elderly man carrying an overstuffed pack being chased by goblins riding wolves. The old man frantically waves for help and runs as fast as he can towards the group. The goblins will soon overtake him unless the party intervenes.
There are 4 goblins riding 4 wolves.
There are scattered 4 ft how boulders around the party.
The goblins are 30 ft from the party members in front
The old man is 20 ft from the party

Initiative : 11, 1st spell minor illusion 5'X5' box around me (1 minute, no concentration). They will need to take one of their actions and make an intelligence check vs difficulty 14 to see through it. Until they do so, I will have full concealment, meaning any attacks against me will be at disadvantage.
Oops not intelligence but an Investigation (Int) (Visual) check, which for Goblins are at +0 and for Wolves is actually -4. So basically the Goblins will need a 14 and the wolves an 18 each to see through it IF they choose to waste an action.
Assuming someone is in melee with 1 of the wolves Trem will use a +1 Arrow at that wolf (preferring the 1 that's attacking Eline if any, otherwise the one with the lowest HP): To Hit: 7 (rolled in game log) +5 +1(from the +1 arrow) = 13. Dmg: 3 (rolled in game log) +3 +1 (from the +1 arrow) +3 (sneak attack rolled in game log) = 10.
Bonusaction: hide (behind a boulder) stealth 10 (rolled in game log)

Trem spends some time with Kronk while Eline sleeps.
You know Kronk, it's kinda funny. It seems I won't outlive her anyway. Who? Oh, Kronk! The cute one! Haha! No not the Orc, the Human!
He gives Kronk the last of the bread and pets him some more before saying goodbye.

“True, Kha. It is better than thinking of the alternative.”
Roxaria peers out the cave entrance and stoles the campfire one more time before getting Reginald for his shift.
”I think you’re right about Eiselcross. We’ll need to outfit ourselves in Palebank before heading out that direction.”

(The party can begin traveling to Palebank village when ready. Its sunrise and the sky is clear)

Trem gives Kronk one final hug.

Trem cringes a bit at that lst comment. I'll have to make sure I stay around then, he thinks.
Then we'll be fine!
And he blows a kiss at Eline.
