Maggwyn nods at Birgons response, "I'm glad we could help. Good to flush out these spies. Is there anything else we can help you with? Also, would you know a good place to take the amulet and mace to get a better idea on what we have?"
Kass does clear her throat and approach Birgon. "We were attacked by strange suits of armor that had no person within them, yet moved on their own. They killed one of the guards. Do you have any known rivals that would employ such constructs? Or any knowledge of them at all?"
(Sorry if somebody already asked, but just wanted to reiterate.)
Miesha inquires about the cost of the potions of Healing. Such are hopefully not needed but when they are, they ARE. Besides she is of limited funds, the monies she got today being almost all she has t her name, so she tries not to even consider things which are surely beyond her means.
Maggwyn - There's not much in Aoswell at the moment, but there's always more work in the bigger cities. I'd recommend Neldfield, especially to learn more of those items. You might be able to Identify some of them without, I don't honestly know what all your crew can do."
Jasper - "That currently runs 300 gold pieces, but I could probably shave some off for you lot."
Kass - Birgon thinks for a minute. "Some of such constructs were used in the Civil War. I'm no expert but I believe they had something to do with the battles in Xedolia."
Miesha - "Every Potion of Healing will be 50 gold, maybe a little less in bulk."
Crannoc buys a single Potion of Healing for 50 gold and thanks Birgon, especially for the leaves he had purchased from her earlier.
Feeling slightly more confident now that the group has now hunted as a pack together more than once, when the others are done with their conversations, Crannoc decides to let all of them know about the one lead that he has on his personal quest:
"I do not know if we have our next goal in mind yet. We hunt well together as a pack, I think. As you know, I was sent forth from my forest home to find the source of a disturbance in Temuth's domain we sensed but could not name. My sole clue is from the feast last night. A half-elven hunter spoke of a grove in the Hailvort Woods, not far to the east, that he frequents, usually rich with plants and animals. When he was last there, two weeks ago, the animals were hiding and there was a strange hole in the center of the grove, with the nearby plants clearly sucked dry of their water."
"I know at some point, I must follow the scent of this lead. We are pack, so I speak my mind, but do not push to go there now. It may earn no gold."
Jasper looks at the dagger and says "well, I don't really know what it does, but... ah, what else is coin for?" "You drive a hard bargain but here you go." He puts his 200g back down as payment.
Miesha will buy two potions of healing, just in case of emergency…
“I would be happy to accompany you, Crannoc,” Miesha would respond when they brought up the idea. “I get the feeling it may be best to be scarce around here for a bit anyway…”
Crannoc has Jasper's attention when he says 'rich' but then he follows it up immediately with 'with plants and animals' and the tabaxi has already lost most of his interest. "Any valuables down there?" he asks, relevant to the hole in the ground.
“Dark hole in the middle of nowhere. Odd effects to try to keep away the curious,” Miesha offers in her best tantalizing tone. “What better place to hide valuables and ensure they aren’t disturbed?”
At Jasper's question about valuables in the hole, Crannoc is about to launch into a sermon on how there is nothing more valuable the beautiful, tangled web of nature and ecology and how it can handle and recover from natural disruptions, but clearly unnatural disruptions need to be...
But sensing that the cat-man probably doesn't want to hear all that, Crannoc pauses.
"If some powerful force is causing or cursing this hole, there is always the chance that defeating it earns a reward, direct or indirect, though I cannot promise it." He feels the slight wrongness of the half-truth in his mouth like rotten fish lying dead and wasted on the riverbank.
He turns to Miesha. "I would be honored to hunt with you in strange lands, bronze warrior." I think she values honor. Or at least the perception of honor.
Finally to the armored hobgoblin, Kass, he murmurs that he has not heard of Xedolia or of any battle there, but he would be the last to know of such things. "But if we as a pack choose to travel there to follow up our most recent... hunt into the den of the South Vexcall interloper, I will happily run with you."
Everyone - If you are from Vexcall you may make a History check to try and recall knowledge of Xedolia.
Birgon completes the last of the transactions with your group, then peers outside at the mid-afternoon sun. "I ought to be going soon. If you're in the area, contact me if you need anything. I doubt they'd let you, but voting for mayor should be starting soon. Stick around for the evening if you'd like to be here for the ceremony." She packs up the coinage that you had given her in your dealings and closes down shop, leaving and locking the door behind the five of you.
It is now getting closer to the evening and polls are being held in the center of town. Do you do anything in particular or shall we skip ahead to later in the evening?

Miesha History : 3
Miesha has no particular plans or goals for the day. She wouldn’t mind heading right out to check Crannoc’s hole (that sounds wrong) rather than hang around town - she feels her bronzed visage won’t be recognized as the woman making the commotion earlier but she’s not used to such shenanigans so of course a bit nervous about it all. Plus she feels no personal connection to the outcome other than the general sense of the town should be allowed to rule itself… Other than trying to identify the abilities of the weapons they’ve accumulated, she has no current goals.
Maggwyn waits till the others are done with their purchases and chatting with Birgon. As the mayoral event is discussed as well as checking out the area Crannoc mentioned, she agrees with Miesha, "After all the excitement we've had in this town, might be good to move on."

(Is Ouverlock considered to be in Central Vexcall? If not please ignore... History: 20)
(Also Birgon asked for 300g for the dagger with the promise of a discount, I believe, so Jasper slapped down the 200g he was willing to pay. Just wanted to confirm that she was ok with that versus it just getting lost in the posts. Didn't want to take advantage...although Jasper would, hmmm... haha)
Jasper is keen to move on after completing the only job Birgon had for them.
Jasper - Birgon is aware of the amount you payed, but given the number of other purchases your group made she is willing to write it off as a discount.
Everyone - None of you recall anything about Xedolia, though the name is familiar.
With the general consensus that it is time to exit town, the five of you set out towards the Hailvort Woods. The sun is setting soon but you could make it about an hour or two into your trek before needing to make camp. If there is anything you would like to do during the walk then do so, but otherwise your crew travel for about five miles before finding a clearing off to the side of the road to set up your camp for the evening.

Jaspire inquires about the dagger once again, still unsure of its properties, and of it's current asking price.
Kass does clear her throat and approach Birgon. "We were attacked by strange suits of armor that had no person within them, yet moved on their own. They killed one of the guards. Do you have any known rivals that would employ such constructs? Or any knowledge of them at all?"

Lol, guess it didn't matter!
