<@everyone: do we need to recruit more players? Avarice and Morwena are present, so I think you're okay balance-wise for now, but if Akame is unresponsive, the actual party is down to 4. That's totally fine with me, but I wanted to ask the group. This game can go on for quite some time, yet. Im just trying to keep uo the momentum, and maybe even pick it up a bit if possible, at keast for the next few weeks.>
<Great. I'm planning on mentioning it after the final combat on the other side of the portal they're about to enter, so it may take a few days. In the meantime, let's see how far we get with this. There is a reason it's worth waiting, imo.>
Morwena's eyes darken, a pale projection of a reptilian eye with a long , vertical pupil appears before each as she stares at tbe magical cretire. She casts Serpent's stare <3rd part spell - I encourage this kind of thing for PCs, too> on the remaining blade.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The blade vanishes.

<defeating every monster is an option, but the actual objective is to get to Iriolarthas' study and claim his stuff.>
R³ (Recap of relevant rooms): Everlast the AI hologram is projected in thus area by a number if glowing crystals in alcoves. Hole in the ceiling has a dome of force over it the blades can pass through. Door to the south has an invisible bridge to the larger tower. Upstairs the door guarded by the living spells has a big gem over it.
Tetrevess looks at the remaining blade, seemingly vulnerable to the mental control of the spell. “**I’ll see what I can do with the dome, if you can keep the blade busy” he says. He casts disintegrate on the dome. (7th level slot). He then flies up to the hole and through it if he can.
<ruling based on the written text of the adventure>
As long as .... , the wall of force can’t be dispelled.
Ascending to the upper chamber (with some help from Sam) Tetrevess takes aim at the dome and, a ripple of potent abjuration magic cascades from the point of impact as the disitegration ray is absorbed by the dome.
"At the far end of the hall, two blade-shaped patches of pitch darkness hover in the air to either side of a double door. A glowing green crystal roughly the size of a human fist is set into the arch above the doorway."
Angus is going to start smashing the projection crystals with the pommel of his magical longsword.
The crystals are relatively fragile and Angus smashes them easily (this is during combat? I'm just going to call it one turn, mechanics aside> upon smashing the sixth crystal, the glow about the remaining five fades and Everlast ceases to exist.
Sam will walk over to the door and try and open it
There's a dome shaped wall of force over the hole, so... how?
<edit: I see reading my descrioti9n above thst i wasn't clear. The dome absorbs the disitegration magic, remaining sturdy as ever. I'll just point out that there are other ways to get to that door thst don't require removing thst dome of force, though it can be removed. Swords are still fighting, but this is actually more of a puzzle combat, so, for pbp, I'm less concerned about the mechanics, but you are in danger. Tactical retreat is an option (they won't leave this tower). For now, though, the NPCs have effectively paused the threat so you can overcome the environmental obstacles.

Angus will attempt to distract B2 with his longsword.
First Longsword Attack: 12 Damage: 11 magical slashing + 6 radiant divine smite + 2 radiant improved divine smite
Second Longsword Attack: 21 Damage: 11 magical slashing + 2 radiant divine smite + 3 radiant improved divine smite
Tetrevess snaps back into the current situation from his blank state, and sees the blades.
He casts crown of stars and then uses a BA to launch a star at B2. He retreats further from the blades.
30 to hit, 25 damage (radiant) if hits.
Angus manages to land a solid blow to the agile ephemeral weapon, sending a mystifying ripple of radiance over the black void slicing through the air.
A star among those summoned by Chadderlay likewise collides with the anomaly.
Akame, Mowena, and Avarice are up.
<I haven't heard from Akame's player in a bit. Tried PM. I'll wait a little longer, but will have to move on soon.>

(I mean I wouldn’t mind a few more players it would help later once we’re near the end)
(Sure, feel free to invite some new people)

Cha save 6
Morwena's eyes retain their serpentine appearance as she and Avarice encourage the others to find a way through the dome Ober tbe hole in the ceiling.
"We've got to get to that door you saw, Chad," Morwena tells her nephew.
"The dome csn probably be dispelled, but we're both occupied with these blades."
Combat ongoing, 1 blade present but unable to act.
Chad and Angus are up, then the blades get saves, then everyone else.

So is their a door where the blades were?
