Piccolo runs at incredible speed to the injured Cha!jil and places hands on her wounds. With her tiny hands she quickly heals what she is able: healer: 17 healed
she smiles at her, her huge eyes looking at her and for a brief moment, Cha!jil thinks she sees a spirit of nature. The tiny girl winks, Then she disappears,
Whilst Piccolo vanishes somewhere to deal with Chaji, Ethan notices something off about the room (Arcana, sorry I didn't know I had to make a second check: 22) before the same shadow gas almost incapacitates him to death. "Urgh! Dispel it again! hurry! Randy! Trisk! Piccolo! The phylactery! Destroy it and get out of- COUGH!" Ethan attempts to yell out again only to suddenly spew out blood upon choking on his last word.
Seeing Valindra trying to escape with the phylactery, Ethan will take 3 more brutal swings at their major target to make sure it's destroyed for good.

Baseball 3: 19, 12 Force
If Valnidra is also within reach, Ethan will abuse his Sentinel ability to smack her down one last time, using his Hexblade's Curse as a BA for the first time since he wounded up here.
Sentinel Reaction: NAT 20, 25 Damage total (5 from Hexblade's Curse and 5 from pact; If Valindra dies, Ethan automatically regains 19HP)
If the rest decide to run after that, Ethan will also make a dive for the gates before he gets sucked into the depths of nowhere.

But I actually see the logic, but rhen instart thinking about what this wizard who had cast this spell a thousand times woukd do, and I dont see any reason why she wouldn't cast it between herself and the only melee ranged enemy nearby. So, I rule that DDoor can provoke an AoO, but it won't this time because she us actually stepping toward the dwarf into the teleportation spell. If another hostile creature was in melee range, one would get AoO.

< Now that I have seen some of the new 2024 rules, I can see the potential for a degree of confusion as we move forward. I had not planned to incorporate any 2024 additions to this game, however, there are several in stances where ambiguity has been removed by codifying certain aspects of the rules. one major area of interest is the new actions, which could really change how the game moves. Additionally, most spell changes appear to be improvements to the 2014 versions. So, I am asking all of the players if you want to continue with 2014 or switch to 2024 rules. One thing I do not yet know is how to select which version of a spell is referenced when creating a tool tip. If someone knows, please PM me.>
<sorry for the delayed game. It's entirely me, Hopefully we still have players. I'm just going to write everything in this thread and we'll see where it goes from here. I don't think this is railroading, really it's the opposite. I'm just resolving player intentions and situations cinematically, leaving players to make meaningful decisions and have some roleplay/social time following some heavily combat - focused stretches. If this were a videogame, this would be the cutscene at the end of a Boss fight.>
In preparation for the upcoming adventure, you may, please, increase your Character's level by two. This will bring some PCs to lvI 11, some to 16 and some to 17. We'll have to see how many are still with us to determine APL.
