[I'm assuming Eric cast "Light" bc Khessa's Human eyes]
Snapjaw replies to Kriv: No... only the Bullywugs come here. Somtimes the Cultists, but only if they accompany Rezmir.
Following the NW path and desceding the steps you find yourselves in a dark area (save for Eric's light). There's a ledge at the end of this area. A wooden, crank-powered crane has been set up for lowering heavy crates of treasure down. A wooden ladder is lashed to the ledge for climbing up and down.
Anator has flown over the ledge. The area down below is filled with mist...
"This is likely the path of the loot.. " Khessa comments, seeing the crane. "Let's try to follow it" and she starts descending the ladder. She sends Anator before her - he has Blindsight, the mist should not prevent him from detecting items and creatures.
To Anator this part of the cavern seems empty. There are 3 paths from this area. A path to the NW that seems just as misty as this area. A long descending path to the SW and a path to the south. The mist seems to flow to the south.
After leading the party down without incident, Khessa examines the options for continuing...
"I'm undecided..." the blonde arcane warrior murmurs "The fog intrigues me, but I'm also curious about the stairs..."
In the end, the tall adventuress decides: "Usually, the worst things are those further down... Let's try to follow this long descending path to the SouthWest" (she continues to keep Anator scouting ahead, so as to be alerted to potential encounters or surprises).
Down the steps you go. Anator is back fast, he noticed 2 Bullywugs at the end of the steps and they seemed irritated about his presence. They both got ready to throw their spear before he flew back. They are surprisingly alert.
'Thank you very much, brother of mine!' Khessa strokes Anator's fur for a moment 'You did well to come back immediately and warn us - without you they might have surprised us'.
"A group of bullywugs at the end of the steps" the blonde arcane warrior promptly warns her fellow adventurers. "With a bad temper and surprisingly alert. Anator detected two of them, but they can be more. They will be guarding something important. Let's prepare to fight, let's go down and get rid of them".
The tall adventuress checks to see if anyone needs to make preparations for the upcoming battle... then she leads the party downstairs.
[Note: Anator came back when the 2 Bullywugs that he noticed moved to attack him. That doesn't mean there aren't any more Bullywugs beyond the 2 that he "saw". Do you still wish to continue?]
[[ OOC: Oh, ok, I edited Khessa's post to better explain this then - but she would still conclude that they are guarding something important and propose to go and attack. ]]
Kriv grins at the prospect of another fight. Holding the Fist at the ready, a thin veil of mist begins to pour from nowhere and cover his body. Once the mist dissipates, Kriv no longer appears in the space.
Thinking Eric to be the calmest of the group, Kriv thinks to alert him of his continued presence. He reaches over and carefully touches the dwarf’s armor.
Khessa, delighted by having witnessed Kriv's spell, is about to take out her spellbook and take arcane notes... but she stops before even opening her backpack. It's obvious that now is not the time. Now it's time to finish liberating the Castle - and thus deal another blow to the Cult organization.
Upon hearing Eric's words, the blonde arcane warrior nods, in agreement with her beloved dwarf and ready to move together with him (presumably after the invisible Kriv, who, suddenly attacking from invisible, should have no difficulty in guaranteeing the party the surprise factor).
Kriv is the first to see the new area. There is some light here. Looks like Pharblex turned this are into a shrine to his distorted notions of religion. Niches in the walls are filled with carvings of frogs ranging from the size of a fist to the size of a pumpkin. Larger carvings sit on the floor. Crude renderings of frogs are scratched into the walls around the niches and colored with chalk. Pharblex is in the back of the shirne and he has 10 Bullywugs ready to defend him. They seems to be on high alert, pointing their spears at the entrence.
Roll initiative!
Both parties expect each other, but Kriv gets a surprise round before round 1.
As soon as he sees the large group, Kriv casts Call Lightning at the furthest West Point of the cavern. He appears, having stepped to the north side of the stairs. He focuses his rage and readies for battle.

Calvin follows the group along and waits to see which direction Khessa wants to lead the party.

Eric flanks Khessa "I trust your Intuitions my dear, let's go"

Eric nods "We have some advantage, we should be able to get them by surprise, killing them before they set some kind of alarm"
OCC: Eric also is up to attacking

Cast Invisibility.

"Oh I didn't know you could do it!" laughing at his own words "that's great for ambushing, go ahead buddy, we'll follow"
