Gehir smiles Calwin, "A wonderful decision, I am sure of it. Our first real lead! Our first step toward the truth and solving the mystery of the stars! Great work indeed!"He looks over the wagon and the rest of the caravan "Why don't we all travel together for the time being. If there are more of the creatures in the woods perhaps safety in numbers? No?" He waves everyone together and explains your findings and the new plan. The troops seem emboldened with a more concrete plan than wandering through a rather extensive forest and the march proceeds a good pace.
It takes a bit but you all to reach the intersection of trails. Sarai Ninefingers quickens out and checks your work, "Impressive! I agree completely with our scholars. I had my doubts that bring this bookish type would be worthwhile but perhaps I am mistaken. Maybe you all will want to join the Friendlies once we save the World!"She smiles widely and waves everyone forward "There is still time before dark let us move but we should be cautious"
You travel for another hour or so which is very uneventful. As the sky turns orange with setting sun a strange the white mist rolls into the forest covering your feet and making the journey more challenging. So much so after about another 30 minutes of travel Sarai calls everyone to a halt, "Best to set up camp. It's become to hard to follow the tracks through this damn mist. Darkness is approaching as well."
There are enough of you that setting up watches is a trivial task and is done pairs.
Is there anything any of you would do this evening?

Are there any good trees for climbing nearby that would have a good vantage point? Calwin will hike up his robes and shimmy up a tree to see what can be seen, if so.

During his watch Agar will try - as unobtrusively as possible - to figure out how to shape the shadows into a mist or something similar, so he can cast fog cloud.

After Calwin has identified the best vantage-point tree, Sallah will use set up his Rope of Climbing (artificer infusion item) with knots for climbing, to make it easier for everyone to use that same tree during their night watch.

During his watch Agar will try - as unobtrusively as possible - to figure out how to shape the shadows into a mist or something similar, so he can cast fog cloud.
Agar roll nature with advantage given your clever comparison and investigation of the fog.
Your night is uneventful. At the advice of Sarai, Shorty does not risk a fire or making any aromatic foods. So you all have a rather disappointing meal of dried meat and fruit rations as you sit quietly in the dark starless mist filled night. You can feel a more somber mood over the camp this evening as the entire setting is eerie. Cathbad does not drink this evening, the first time since you have met him and Whiskers the kobold keeps to himself not looking to prank any of his companions.
In turn you climb your tree without problem and keep watch over the forest. You see birds fly through the tree and occasional rustling of the brush underneath as small critters make their way blindly through the mist but nothing approaches your camp. The mist fills the Forest of Sharp teeth and flows like water down a mountain.
Eventually the darkness gives way and the sun rises high in the sky. However unlike the previous morning this sun does not burn off the mist. In fact, it seems to only get thicker as the orange ball of fire warms the midsummer day.
You pack camp in a rather quiet a serious tone and resume the trail. Gehir seems particularly determined this AM., "We are close. Can you feel it?" His eagerness is obvious and pushes the caravan hard throughout the morning. Just before noon you hear a high pitch call of a strange creature somewhere above you. The high pitched screech is forgien to your ears and you all reflexively turn your eyes to the sky. You see the shadow of a pair of strange crow like creatures though their wingspan you'd estimate to be over 50 feet. Gehir pushes you all in the direction of the shadow saying, "Come Come. This has to be the way that creature is not of this plane!"
Despite any misgivings or hesitancy you might have, Gehir hears none of it as he railroads you in the direction of the birds. The shadow eventually disappears over a ridge of tall, jagged stone. It rises before you like a wall: an abrupt clifff of ragged gray and red stone sometimes reaching 100 feet high, cracked and eroded into towers and canyons. Gehir sighs, "Well this isn't supposed to be here.... I guess we have to find a way over, through or under..." The mist swirls at your feet as Gehir's eyes swirl at the rocks before you. "Let us split up again and search these rocky passageways?" He then goes the back of the wagon and pops open a small chest. He grabs a bunch of small bottles handing one to each of you. "Just in case you run into something dangerous while we are split. Might help."
Jonathan looks at the rocky area "This isn't supposed to be here? You may of gotten us lost the way you've been pushing us." He shrugs "I guess you're never lost in an adventure." He looks for any passageways in the rocks. 13 perception
Your patron nods, "Lost! Surely not! In fact this is wonderful news! More evidence we are on the right track! Giant rocky walls don't exist in this forest and so we must be witnessing another merging of the planes!" Gehir is nearly giddy with excitement. "We shall press on, the plot thickens and the nexus must be near!"
You search a bit and find that their are (conveniently) three caverns that enter into the rock wall before you. They all appear to head into some sort of cave system and the mist seems to pour from each cavern like water down a river. You don't discern any differences between the three.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jonathan may not notice any difference between the 3 caverns, but Sallah will look for other clues. He is looking if the rock ceilings look stable, for animal tracks, or if there are any unpleasant smells that would indicate creatures within.

Sallah looks over the ground but it is a bit difficult to make out much in the mist and fog. You clearly don't see any animal tracks leading in or out of the caverns. The creatures you fought were rather sizable and distinct if they had passed through here you feel pretty confident you would know.
